Everything you've read is true... bowling green flat lawn suitable for small to large group, right on an idyllic swimming hole. Swimming is more 'tea-bagging' cool-off than swimming laps. Fun exploring up and down stream to find other plunge holes. Super clear water, some (ex TC Alfred) detritus lying on river bottom can be stirred up, so keep feet off bottom. A good flush will likely move out bottom materials soon. Whipbird & black cockatoo song fill the air, along with lots of other birdlife. Staghorns perch in all the trees and I think of this as staghorn city! Super pretty. A ~45min drive west of cute/historic Bowraville, so its remote (in a good way), but day trip to the beach or for resupply is not simple. Sammy maintains the campsite meticulously & along with his family, are super welcoming and very helpful, directing us to private tracks climbing the steep ridgelines, for (deadfall) firewood collection, which is a fun adventure. Good/safe MTB riding along the valley road was a popular activity (albeit an eMTB is needed if wanting to climb the steep trails), and there's lovely bushwalking with a couple of steep-ish loops possible up and down the surrounding ridgelines. Mostly this campsite is about lounging around the campsite and enjoying the chuckling river, birdsong and serenity. All in total privacy. Magical. Great property! Lovely private spot with a great swimming hole. The host takes great pride in the property and it shows, the upkeep of the site was immaculate and directions to reach the site were also very clear. We spent one night stopping over at the property at the end of a trip, however we wished we could stay longer and would definitely love to come back in the future.

What a slice of heaven!
We came on a cloudy couple of days but it still did not disappoint.
Our daughter and dog had so much land to run around on and he creek was magnificent!! Yes there is a bit of muck in the water but who cares!? It was still Crystal clear and warm.
We had a visit off the hosts puppy who was adorable anda brief interaction with the host who was super friendly and respectful.
Couldn’t fault a thing!!!
It required three river crossings and a small but steep Hill to get to the campsite. We are no way experienced caravans but we managed all obstacles fine. No need for putting down tyre pressure or using recovery gear.

Fast becoming one of our favourite spots to camp. Sammy is a great host, friendly and welcoming. We appreciated the freshly mowed, massive campsite. The swimming, bird watching and star gazing are a great way to switch off for a few days and just relax. Thanks Sammy. We will hopefully be back!

Unfortunately swimming hole quite low and moss ridden - these guys need some decent rain - grandkids didn’t want to swim because of the way it was !

The camp ground was immaculate and very well looked after. The swimming hole was lovely and would be even better after a bit of rain to top it up and clear out the moss. The march flies were relentless so make sure to pack some spray and stop itch for the trip

This place that Sammy and his family has made is an absolute piece of paradise.
Absolutely everything we loved about this place, our own patch of lush green grass, some spectacular trees and the best little swimming hole. Deep in some sections which was great for the big kids and adults and shallow in areas that was great for the little ones.
I don't have words to say how beautiful this off-grid spot is. I wish it was closer as I
would come here every chance i got.
Thanks for sharing your dream with us.
On a personal note: thanks for going above and beyond to help us with finding a Vet for our Golden.

What an incredible experience. Staying in between the trees, going to bed to the sound of kookaburras, with a beautiful swim hole to enjoy. We miss it already!

This location is so beautiful and very private 🤩 Our host Sammy was great and provided heaps of info to help us locate the campsite easily. The causeway crossings were easily managed in our 4WD and small hybrid caravan. Definitely recommend this one ☝️

Absolutely pristine & secluded. We had the place all to ourselves, with a crystal clear swimming hole, beautifully maintained grounds & surrounded by birds & wildlife.
Our host Sammy was so welcoming & friendly, with excellent communication & check in directions. The guest wifi near the cottage, was especially appreciated. We can’t wait to return to this amazing oasis. 🌳

We had a fantastic stay at vallis oakes. Very relaxing with a beautiful stream flowing through. Lots of places to swim and explore. Our dogs had the time of their life being able to roam. Sammy was very friendly and accommodating.

another great spot in the Bowraville area, a good level campsite on a great little water hole, good and refreshing on a hot afternoon on arrival, very quite and peaceful with the whole campsite to our selves, plenty of room for the dog to run around although he spent most of his time in the water. the hosts are a very friendly young family and Sam was very helpful, and the kids turned up with fresh farm eggs, very much appreciated. we will definitely be back

We absolutely loved our stay! The crystal-clear water hole was stunning, our dog had the best time swimming in it, and even our cat enjoyed tagging along for the adventure. The owners were so open and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful and pet-friendly getaway!

Just the most magic and peaceful spot, like something out of a fairytale!
Was lucky to have the whole place to ourselves and even in the middle of a thunderstorm it was an amazing experience!
Even though he wasn't there Sammy was a legend over the phone making everything so clear and helpful! 100% will be coming back!!

Another fantastic stay at Vallis Oaks. We just love this place and particularly enjoyed taking advantage of the gorgeous, clear swimming hole during a very hot pack up! Immaculate site (as usual), almost completely surrounded by the crystal clear Nambucca River near its source, falling asleep to the sound of the running water, and absolute privacy. Nice big private spot! Make sure you read all details before heading to property as you won’t have any service and there may not be anyone on the property to greet/direct you. Very tidy and well looked after space.

A lovely, remote and private camp site with no other campers. A stunning little river with lush forest and rocky back drops with oodles of grass for our dog to roam free on. We even had some farm fresh eggs delivered to our camp by the wonderful camp host family. Thank you.
