    HORSES WELCOME!  Why not run your horse on the beach, then come to our campsites to relax for the rest of your day.  There is a fenced pasture positioned next to the sites so you can see your faithful friend enjoying some grass or hay.  We have a new Zinger 29' trailer set up with a bunk room and another bedroom, full kitchen and bathroom.  It can easily sleep six people.  If you have your own RV, we have a full hook up at the same area.  The pasture where your horse stays will also have hay, water and shelter with a run-in.  This is a sanctuary for our animals.  We have nine animals here, four horses (some minnies) and five donkeys (some minnies).  By staying here, you will be helping us to support our animals.  We are in Frankford, De which is close to all the beaches and parks.  There are many shopping adventures awaiting you, either outlets or upcycle stores.  If you just want to relax, there is a small pond out back stocked with bass and turtles.  We have 17+ acres but we only use the front five acres and leave the rest for the deer, foxes, eagles, hawks and whatever else shows up.  We believe this is Heaven on earth and would love to share it will you.  So please come, stay at our farm and relax.  We are here year round.

    We have created a level 12x48 area for your rv. It comes with a bar-b-q grill, a fire pit and a picnic table with umbrella. There is also firewood and charcoal provided. So just pull up, hook up and relax. When you stay with us you will be helping to provide care for all of our animals. We have nine animals, 4 horses (3 minnies) and 5 donkeys (3 minnies) and all of them are really happy and funny. So, come out with your animal (horses welcome) and enjoy our little piece of paradise.

    Marian was great, and everything about our stay was fantastic. We had access to a bathroom and shower, unlimited firewood, charcoal, and everything you need to setup a fire. The campsite itself was shaded and peaceful, and in close proximity to the barn, and the pond. Fishing the pond was really fun, we caught several bass. Great experience overall.

    This is the second time I’ve stayed here in less then a year and they never disappoint, the host is friendly, the sites are clean, well maintained and they are super friendly, 10/10 will continue to use this place when I stay in ocean city.

    Great stay! Marian and Mike are welcoming hosts and have a wonderful property. It was fun to meet the miniature horses and donkeys. The trailer was clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely come back.

    Just - amazing!!! We were spoiled! Electricity at our site (moved to 1 from 3 as there had been a lot of rain; can definitely attest that this was brilliant aforethought, Marian and Mike! Thank you!!!), a garbage can, and waterproof container of kindling. Firewood aplenty and a bathroom - a real, warm bathroom with a toilet and sink :) As well as a hot shower and sink for doing dishes! The fire pit was a set up for wood (which we prefer) or charcoal (also provided!!!). We cooked all of our meals at our site and couldn't have asked for a better set-up! It was SO quiet, it was like a dream!! Flat, level ground and many trees made it easy to pitch our tent, put a tarp over the picnic table, and set up the runner for our fur-footed family member! The boys absolutely loved feeding the animals and spending time with them each day. Plenty of space to roam and the holly forest was truly beautiful! This is definitely not just somewhere to camp, it is magical! Thank you, Marian and Mike, for sharing your piece of land and peace of mind, body, and spirit! We cannot wait to come back and visit with you again!!

    Why Not is a wonderful RV and tent camp out in the country but also a short drive to the beaches. Firewood, grill and charcoal were all provided by the hosts. Camp sites are pristine. Will be back.

    Affordable beach getaway!
    Why Not Acres Trailer
    Glad that we found "Why Not Acres" on HipCamp! It has been a decade since we stayed in the Rehoboth Beach area. The RV rental made it possible for us to afford a beach getaway weekend in celebration of our 27th anniversary. At the end of each day filled with food and beach adventures, we were so happy to return to our home away from home at the corner of Blueberry Lane and Raspberry Road.

    We had a wonderful time at Why not Acres. Marian and Mike are great and so friendly and helpful during your our stay. They greeted us when we arrived. They told us all about the area. The RV was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely come again. The Gerlitzki family.

    The host was amazing and very flexible with check in times and super accommodating, the campsite was prepared and cleaned, neighbors were far enough apart to enjoy time to ourselves and the entire trip and environment were amazing! Will stay again for sure!

    This is my second time camping at Why Not and I absolutely love it. Marian and Mike are amazing people and their land is gorgeous. Just country enough for solitude, but close enough to civilization to make things easier. I am definitely coming back. :)

    Really enjoyed our stay here! Sites are well maintained and have everything you need for a great tent camping experience. Our daughter liked visiting the farm animals and it was easy to get to the Delaware shore and other amenities.

    I loved this place. The owners are super sweet and welcoming. The animals are adorable and very friendly. And the tent sites have everything you need. They even provide firewood AND charcoal! Amazing. It’s a stones skip from the beach and Millsboro, which has everything that you could possibly need. The site itself is beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. And…their across the street neighbors own a bison farm! We will definitely be coming back to this farm. Thank you Mike and Mariam. :)

    Why Not Acres has everything I needed and more as a tent camper! It has an outdoor sink with hot/cold water for washing my dishes and for getting water to cook my food. It has a flush toilet and an indoor hot shower! The site also had electrical where I could charge my phone, etc. The other wonderful benefit is the proximity to the beaches- 30 to Bethany, 40 to Ocean City. Marion & Mike are two of the kindness people I’ve met! They went the extra mile to make our stay the comfortable & easy!

    We loved camping at Why Not Acres and highly recommend it to anyone- RV and tent campers alike. Marian and Mike were perfect hosts! Our site was very level with a nice deck for the picnic table and chairs to watch the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We were impressed with the amenities they provide for both RV and tent campers. Why Not Acres is less than a half hour drive to Bethany Beach and is convenient to shopping and many other towns if you are looking for something to do besides heading to the beach. This was our first experience using Hipcamp and I won't hesitate to use the app again and definitely give Why Not Acres a five star rating!

    I stay in lots of air bnbs, hotels etc. all over the countey for work. And I have to say this was by far my favorite and most enjoyable experience! The owners are the most friendly and welcoming couple! They provide absolutely anything you would think of needing! It’s in a beautiful quiet and amazing place! If you’re coming to the area this is hands down the spot to go!

    We had an INCREDIBLE weekend at Why Not Acres! Mike and Marian (and their sweet dog Annie) were so warm and welcoming from the start, and they take obvious care and pride into making their sites as comfortable and lovely as possible--the grounds are spotless, flat, and nestled among the trees (even the soil was soft and welcoming!). They also provide a full bathroom and shower with plumbing and electricity, a power station for each tent site, fire pits/grills/charcoal/lighter fluid/firewood, and a lovely hammock. And cherry on top--there are ponies and donkeys who'll let you pet them (ahem, in exchange for a little celery or carrots...). We wanted to camp somewhere near the beaches, and with being 30 minutes away from the coast (closest beach is Bethany), it made for a perfect spot to get to--and away from--the beach towns. I can't recommend Why Not Acres highly enough and can't wait to come back again.

    We just LOVED our stay at Why Not Acres. From our welcoming greeting from Mike, Marian, and Annie, to the complete rundown on the trailer, to our very lenient check out time on Sunday! We were not actually at the trailer for most of our trip, but used it as a home base to visit the nearby beaches and towns (which were very conveniently close by! 30 Mins to Bethany Beach) but anytime we were at the trailer it was serene and quiet. From many visits from the kitties in the mornings, to looking out our window to the paddock of ponies and donkies, our stay at Why Not Acres is one to remember, and we will definitely be returning in the future. To Mike and Marian, two of the most gracious hosts I've met to-date! Thank you! -Jake and Madison Fair

    This campground is "hooked up"! On EACH site a picnic table with an umbrella, a wooden patio with a four person outdoor table & chairs, a hooded grill with wastebasket, and a hammock!! All this at a very reasonable fee. Then there's the fun of donkeys and ponies grazing right behind you. And we found that if you wanted, bison meat is available for sale right across the street. 😉

    We loved this site! Hosts are super friendly and helpful, the camp is quiet and the whole set up is fabulous. Our RV site had a flat gravel pad, full hook ups, a wooden patio with chairs and a grill (charcoal & lighter fluid included), a fire ring with firewood included AND a picnic table with an umbrella. Our site was sunny in the morning, shaded in the afternoon. You are about 30 minutes from the beach so it's close enough to enjoy that and then go back to camp to enjoy the peace and quiet. Grocery, gas stations, e.t.c are not far away. We liked fishing in the pond and visiting the horses and donkeys. We stayed in an RV site but I would also recommend the tent sites, which are shaded. The shower house is great with instant hot water, plus a utility tub and a hose outside. Tent sites have a really nice fire ring with grates so you could cook, plus a hammock and other amenities. Everything here is neat and tidy. I can't recommend this Hipcamp enough!

    After a long day at the beach, Marion’s bathhouse was a warm welcome. Only a few steps from campsites 2 and 3. We appreciated the custom fire pits for easy cooking.

    This was such an exquisite stay for me and my friends! We enjoyed the wonderful hospitality and flexibility that the hosts offered, as well as their BEAUTIFUL farm and campsites. The bathroom/shower/outdoor sink was so nice to have and really came in handy. We also were pleasantly surprised by how equipped each site was. Each had a fire starting bin, and outlet, a beautiful fire pit with grill feature, and a hammock. Also firewood being provided was the cherry on top. Genuinely such a nice stay and was sad to leave so soon. Would definitely recommend to a friend, or return myself!!

    Lovely farm by the beach
    Why Not Acres Trailer
    This place was lovely and had everything we needed! We ended up bring too much stuff. The camper comfortably fit 4 adults, 1 baby and 1 kid! This was such an easy way to spend time at the beach. The farm is about 25 minutes from the beach, it was nice to come back to our peaceful little camp site. I love the farm’s mission, using the profits to support the animals. Good people.

    We loved our stay! Marian and her husband are very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in their camper which is very clean, spacious and cozy. It’s close to Assetague Island which is great too. We definitely want to come back and even tent camp at one of their sites too.
