This farm is unique in that it was cleared and stripped of its topsoil and its fill was sold off to the state. What was left behind was a pond and some poor farmland. I purchased this less desirable property inexpensively and have been working tirelessly to regenerate the property to a farm that mimics nature and our natural ecosystem. I have planted over 1000 trees and perennial shrubs to move this property into an oak savannah-like natural farming system. Lakeside Cozy Camp was exactly as describe, flat, easy to access, and you get the whole acre to yourself.
We tent camped in the back of my pickup, but the ground would have been comfortable too since it’s mostly sand. We had a small fire, walked around the property, and loved being right across from the lake, even walking out on the ice to chat with ice fishermen. Very quiet, private, and pet-friendly, with park bathrooms conveniently across the street, perfect for a simple camping spot in nature.

Peaceful Getaway on Beautiful Green Lake 🌿
We loved our stay at this cozy cabin on Green Lake! The cabin was spotless, comfortable, and perfect for our family. The hosts thought of everything — from a welcoming coffee and snack basket to fire pits already prepped for us. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake, walking the peaceful paths, and relaxing under the stars at night. The property is absolutely beautiful and well cared for. A wonderful mix of comfort and nature — we can’t wait to come back!

Cabin and amenities were clean and as depicted. We were comfortable as a family of four at the cabin and campground. We enjoyed having the fire pit and chairs (we didn’t find matches but brought our own). The weather didn’t cooperate but the dock and kayaks were really neat and we wish we had stayed an extra day. We thought the grounds and chapel were great and we anticipate coming back again :)

Weekend Trip to The G Farm
I had a great time at their farm. The cabin is perfect for one or two campers and there’s plenty of room for another tent or two as well. There’s a good size fire pit and a couple different docks to enjoy the view of the pond. There’s also canoes and a paddle boat for use with life jackets available as well. They have everything you need available, and a great farm store for any food you might have forgotten to pack. They encourage you to roam around the property and there’s a lot of great stuff to see. I think it’s really great that they were able to set this piece of their property aside to share with anyone trying to get away for some peace and relaxation. They’re also doing some really great restorative work on the land that’s interesting to hear about. I loved my weekend here and I’ll definitely be back again!

Fun spot, cute little tiny house with bunk beds! If you're planning to bring a pop up you can just barely pull in and turn around. Pulled my Escapade summit square drop trailer in but it was a TIGHT fit. If you're trailer is wider than 90" like mine you may not get it pulled in. The dogs are nice and the chicken coop is close so you'll hear the roosters in the AM. The kids loved it!

I loved this old boy scout camp. My boys enjoyed the swimming area and kayaks and all the little fish there. Showers were ok...had hot water and flush toilets by them. Put toilets right in a the area we were camping on. Nice and private, barely saw another sole

It’s our 3rd year at this camp but our first at Sauk Campsite! Everything was as perfect as all previous years. We love the extra space Sauk Camp had to offer. The beach is a little further than at lower bluff but still a walking distance. Site was clean and had everything we needed! This is a great spot for family fun and for pets! Will definitely be booking for next year!
