Nestled in between two valleys with 3,500 feet of stream front property on the West Fork of the Kickapoo, we truly have one of the most unique campgrounds you'll ever visit. Having avoided glacial drift during the last ice age, the Driftless area boast beautiful valleys, bluffs and rolling hills that you won't find anywhere well in Wisconsin. A temporary membership is included in camping fees and goes toward environmental conservation work and maintaining grounds, free wifi, etc. Our 20 acre property boast 3,500 feet of stream-front class 1 trout fishing on the West Fork of the Kickapoo (a top 100 trout stream in the US). Our entire stretch of stream is fully improved and excellent to fish. We have a healthy native brown trout population. We work with a local school science program to raise and stock brook trout every year. We have resident Sandhill Cranes, Bald Eagles, Oriels, Willow Fly Catchers, Hummingbirds and many other avian species. Nestled between two valleys, we frequently have stunning sunsets. We are far enough way from light pollution to easily see the Milky Way Galaxy on a clear night. The star gazing is amazing and if you keep your eyes up at night, you're pretty much guaranteed to see a shooting star, if not multiple. The West Fork Sport Club is truly a special campground. We're a short 15 minute drive from Viroqua which has a lot of great local shops, the Driftless Café (Owned and operated by Wisconsin Foodie host Luke Zahm) and a fantastic farmer's market. We're 25 minutes from Wild Cat Mountain which has extensive hiking trails. There are also two great vineyards within 15 minutes. The original log cabin is still part of the farmstead that originated back in the 1880's. The site was a family farm until around the 1940s. Also, the land was the Eastern banks of a large logging mill lake/pond 150 yrs ago, so the shoreline slopes do not allow campers in/out of the pasture areas. A popup would be feasible with a full size 4 wheel drive utility vehicle in river bottom/shorelines. Tents /Low impact camping are best. In 2019 a transition to Animal Therapy, Fishing Therapy, and Pastured pigs from New Zealand which originally were almost extinct because of their friendly nosey nature at times gets them into trouble. They graze on open pasture most of the year and rest in the sun next to a trout stream. Learn more about this land: We are a working farm with mostly rescued farm animals. Many of the animals have special needs here and live their lives as free-range animals. The river in the back is home to wonderful Brown Trout and smallmouth bass. Also at times, there will be a couple dogs being trained and worked with too. You select your location for your primitive camping experience. If any special needs for a person arise, such as cane, charcoal grill, camp lantern We keep a small shed with supplies even items like tarps, cots, sleeping bags, even fishing rods. The owner is a highly achieved angler that has been filmed for the "Discover Wisconsin" Television TV show. and is available for guided fishing adventures and education in the area for all species. Also, certain times of the year are excellent for wild plants and mushroom foraging. Note this is the Driftless area of Wisc. where no glaciers came through. We have bluffs and streams around every curve of the road. The Wisc. Rivers very close too and has great fishing as well. The neighbor of this farm also rents and performs livery service for kayaks, canoes on the Pine River. Many times of the year, fresh meats are sold right at the farm as well as homemade fishing lures ready for fishing adventures. Note: Many times I am at the river fishing or in the pasture planting and reforesting this former GMO corn farm after years of heavy spraying. With Maples, Willows, apple, pear, plum, oak while trying to manage the evasive plants too. Please understand rainfall, safety of small rivers/waterfront changes. If river front takes on water, camping is all moved from water edges. We do not allow any camper over 15 feet and you must have vehicle that can get through wet mowed fields if it rains since we are along a river/wet lands, if it were to rain we move vehicles to higher dry ground if they a low to the ground . We have a gentle sloped hillside here so always dry areas to park. Other vehicles park at the top of the pasture, in farm front yard and we transport all gear to the river front. Small low to the ground cars are not wise here as there are 4 rain water trenches in the bottom 10 acres the keep rain water draining to ward the river.

Great location, super friendly host, and firewood included in the price. We had a great time. It's close enough to town to be convenient, but rural enough to enjoy nature. The surrounding hills and trees are beautiful. The only challenge was finding a flat spot for tents. A couple areas aren't too bad, but most of the clearing is on a bit of a slope.

Beautiful, secluded campsite with a babbling brook running through!! The region is gorgeous in the fall. The outhouse was clean and well kept. Tai + Stella’s visitor guide and map were very informative and easy to follow. Logan brought us firewood and allowed us to enjoy the area in peace. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an escape out in nature.

The view at Boscobelle is great and David was very welcoming. It is set in a valley so the sun gets to you in the late morning. I have seen other reviews saying it is not level. It does have an incline but there multiple places where it is very easy to set up a tent and be perfectly comfortable. It is close enough to town that anything you may have forgotten or want access to is a five minute drive away. It was a great way to usher in fall.

The site is located in such a peaceful area and we were greeted by cows throughout the day! Travis had a nice picnic table, outdoor lights, and wall barrier to help with the wind! Great stay!

Steve and Ellen were absolutely amazing during the entirety of our stay. Their help and welcoming personality gave us the best weekend getaway. Steve was generous and allowed us to use his paddle boat on the beautiful pond and wood for the campfire. Keep a good eye out at night for a clear sky of stars. Had a great time on this acre, fishing, camping, cooking, and all. Highly recommend!

Fairly private site. It is next to a not well traveled gravel road. No shade, so if you're planning on hanging out at the site during the day, bring a canopy. Very responsive owner.

My wife and I have now been traveling to this wonder of a campground for a couple of years now, and it is utopian, peaceful, and something akin to magical. I'm hesitant to leave a review because its wonder lies in its seclusion and solitudinous beauty, but I would be dishonorably unforthright to the proprietors of such an estate to withhold the proportionate praise that sharing a paradisiacal place of tranquil respite deserves to garner.

I had an absolutely incredible stay at this Hipcamp. It felt like I had been transported to the mountains, not Wisconsin! The views in the driftless region were stunning. I reached out to host Andy in advance, and he graciously let me stay in the fenced dog park area, which featured a crystal-clear spring-fed pond. The trails on the property were amazing, perfect for exploring with my dogs, and the location itself is out of this world. It's right in the heart of Amish country, with Amish horse and buggies riding right past the campsite. Andy was fantastic, welcoming, helpful, and full of great local recommendations. If he was working near the campsite he kept me informed, but otherwise gave me my privacy and it really felt like I had the place to myself. Andy even loaned me a corkscrew after I forgot mine. Although the listing says no cooking equipment, the site was set up with a campfire grill grate which was so helpful for cooking over the open fire. I purchased the wood add on and Andy provided more than enough wood right beside the fire for two days. He also suggested a nearby Amish home-based bakery, which had some of the most delicious baked goods I’ve ever tasted. Every detail of this stay was thoughtful, peaceful, and memorable. I only wish I could have stayed longer! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a serene, stunning, and unique camping experience.

Great private site. My dogs enjoyed playing in the pond. Nice, clean toilet on site. Plenty of room for the dogs to sniff around and explore and close enough to places like Wyalusing for a day trip to hike. Very close to river put in for those wanting to enjoy the Wisconsin River.

Weekend Trip to 🦫 Flutterby 🦋 Farm 👩🏽‍🌾

This space is like a dream, definitely not like any campground I've been to before. The winding country roads passing by buggies and neighbors waving were signs we were going to the right place. Our site was surrounded by a babbling creek that we splashed around in during the day. The dogs especially enjoyed that part! Each site was spread out and private, with the creek joining the grounds together. The compost outhouse was awesome and I never had to wait in line even with all of the spots occupied. It was so peaceful and tranquil but we also felt able to let loose and have joyful moments. Having spring water and firewood available was amazing and we only had to leave the property once to reup on supplies (theres poor service but reliable wifi to upload maps to the nearest stores, noted on the welcome guide). If you have dogs or children there are spots that are more secluded to choose from. We liked Coyote to camp by our cars but our pups are still practicing not barking hello every time a neighbor passed by. We felt so lucky to have to found this slice of bliss amongst the acres of farmland and rolling forests. Being there exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to go back.

We had a phenomenal time staying on Gary’s land! He’s such a nice guy with a plethora of knowledge to share. He had the fire going for us when we arrived and brought us hot coffee the next morning :) The animals were incredible! Many are free roam and we got to encounter several different ones. We felt very safe knowing To Go protects the land and keeps coyotes, etc away. The river is beautiful and quiet. The entrance is through two gates by his house; you can come and go as you please and he’ll meet you when you arrive to get acquainted with the simple-to-use system. It’s close to town and Gary is a great resource for any questions! We would absolutely stay again.
