During our roadtrip from Colorado to Chicago, this site was a great place to camp! The gorge was beautiful with lots of trees and wildflowers. We enjoyed our stay!

If you’re thinking of booking this place: DO IT! We were already planning our next trip to the Quarry after our first night there! While we love our state parks, nothing compared to the privacy of the beautiful property at the Quarry. There were other campers there, but we felt like we were mostly alone during our stay. Clean site, trees for privacy, picnic table, chairs and table, flat space for a tent, and the cleanest biffy you’ll ever see just a short walk away. The quarry itself is gorgeous, framed by the huge limestone wall that truly makes the little campground feel epic. The view from the lookout is spectacular, and we also had a wonderful view of the river through the trees from our campsite. And the stargazing is top-notch, too. The location of the property is also a great base for exploring the area, as you’re a short drive to Great River Bluffs, close to Winona, and just across the river from La Crosse. We just loved everything about the Quarry! Erica is a great host, and her communication is fantastic. She has a gem, and we can’t wait to be back!

Such a unique camping experience in an aspen-filled quarry! We loved the privacy of our campsite and view from the scenic overlook. The campsite not only had a picnic table, it also had two chairs and log seating by the campfire. We saw fireflies, a hummingbird and all sorts of other birds from our site.
The host gave great directions for us to locate our site and was very responsive! Will put on the list to come back to in the future.

My fiancee and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was perfect. We stayed at Vista Grande which had an amazing view being so close to the scenic overlook. The site was very isolated which was amazing! It was the perfect place to spend time with each other out in nature. We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back again!

We loved this spot! Our site was clean and secluded. Communication and directions were clear. The portapotty was so clean which was nice. And the wood on site was also nice. Would 100% Camp here again!

Easy to find, great for kids and dogs, and private feel. Quarry campsite has great morning and evening shade on the north side of the campsite which kept things much cooler with 85+ degree temps. Super kid-friendly, dog friendly, and lots to explore. Kiddos loved all the wildflowers and couldn’t stop asking to go on a hike to see the overlook!

Clean and private site, and VERY clean porta-a-potty. Host had excellent communication, firewood was accessible, fireput was in good condition and patio chairs were a nice touch! Highly recommend, will likely go back!

Was looking for a quiet and peaceful place to camp away from normal campgrounds with a beautiful view. This place did not disappoint! Amazing view from the over look, and had a very peaceful night. There is an amazing overlook just before you get to the camp site as well that is so worth the trip! Fire wood, was also of high quality! Ive stayed at sights before where it isn't great. Was very pleased with the whole experience! Great communication as well.
For anyone on motorcycle, be aware the road down into the quarry is pretty steep, would definitely be very cautious. ADV riders with some experience should be ok.
Absolutely will and have recommended to many, and im sure I'll be back again. Thank you!

Very cool piece of land! Camping in the quarry, you look up at what must be 50-foot limestone and dolostone walls formed nearly half a billion years ago when this area was covered by a shallow sea. Surrounded by nature, with all the sounds and sights that come with it, it’s hard not to relax and enjoy yourself. My family would definitely camp here again.

This was our first Hipcamp experience and we loved it! Having camped mostly in state parks, we enjoyed having a more private and quiet experience. Our dog was also more relaxed, not having to be on the leash all the time. Erica was a very attentive host even though we did not see her, but she made sure we had a great experience! We will definitely be back!

We were there alone so there’s that but it was beautiful, quiet, had a very clean chemical toilet. There were if you a couple of comfortable chairs by the fire pit. If you brought small children, there was a playhouse with a kiddie kitchen and maybe a few bikes. The rocks could be dangerousl for climbing but they are posted

The host did a great job of communicating clearly where to go to get to the site. The Quarry is a great place if you want to camp in the woods with no amenities and to rough it, which is what I was looking for. I really enjoyed my stay as it was exactly what I wanted.

We loved camping in Erica’s quarry! The views were beautiful and there was a state park 10 minutes away for even more beautiful views of the Mississippi River. Even with a couple other groups on the property, it was quiet and secluded in our little corner. The end of the drive was marked with a camping symbol and the instructions provided were clear. Would absolutely come back.

I was arriving at night, and Erica was super responsive and gave me great directions on how to find my site. Awesome spot with the quarry cliffs and view over the Mississippi! Sites feel spread out enough.

Fantastic place to see! Very quiet and well laid out area. Directions were very easy and host was very accommodating. Stars were beautiful at night. Couldn’t ask for a better place! Highly recommended if you’re coming through the area!

The campsite is beautiful and very well maintained. I got the last minute reservation at the Rocky road by the floor of the bluffs. Communication with Erica was a breeze. She explained everything from directions to view point trail.

It was as described in the listing. The porta potty was very clean when we arrived. There was plenty of space between the sites for privacy. One thing that I was hoping for that didn't happen was to sit on the bench swing at the top of the Bluff with the Beautiful view, because it was broken. Erica did inform me that it was not yet fixed when we arrived. Also I think some should be aware that there is a steep gravel road that heads to the Quarry site. We did have to use 4 wheel drive to get there. Other than that it was great. I would recommend.
