You'll be camping on our Stanley lake sugarbush property. Lakefront sites have power and water - are located in a grassy clearing on the shores of Stanley Lake. ABSOLUTELY NO CHARGING OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES ON PROPERTY!! Primitive sites are amongst the maple trees of our sugarbush operation, within walking distance of the lake. Enjoy the numerous surrounding lakes such as Chute Pond, Maiden Lake, Boot Lake, Townsend Flowage and more! Bagley Rapids is minutes away. Located near Townsend, Mountain and Lakewood which provide multiple dining options, bait shops, gas stations, and more. Please be respectful of this land. Please do not tamper with the campers or shed. Please feel free to use any wood you find already down in the woods or take from the numerous stick piles found near the campsites. Please do not use the cut firewood. The wood in the stick piles has been stacked for your use and is good dry wood that will provide you with hot fires. We do not even use the cut wood in the summer, spring, or fall. My young children and I have worked hard to clear those sites and cut wood for our own personal use in the winter so please respect the effort we have put in so we can continue to enjoy our land and share this beautiful location with others. There is no electric or water so please plan your trip accordingly. Please leave no trace and carry out what you bring in. There are no toilets available so you will need to provide your own portable toilet. Peeing on a tree is fine, but no pooping in holes. If you chose to drive down to the campsite by the creek you are doing so at your own risk as vehicles have gotten stuck trying to get back up especially after a rain fall and had to get towed out. It is recommended you park up on top and walk the short distance down. ATV/UTV are fine going down to the creek campsite. The long driveway has plenty of room for multiple vehicles, trailers, and boats. Absolutely no hunting or shooting of guns is allowed on the property. Bears have been seen on the property so please use bear safe camping practices. If your children use the ninja line or hammocks on site they do so at their own risk and we are not held liable for any injuries that may occur. You may notice a zip line. The seat will be removed and is not to be tampered with or used. Quiet time is between 10pm-6am. No illegal activity (including fireworks) are allowed. You may see us up there but we will respect your privacy and space. We welcome company and conversation but also respect you may prefer to be left alone. You can also try Richard's supper club for great food also. I am also right on the atv trail. Marinette country has many waterfalls to explore also. Please follow the golden rule of camping and hiking is “leave no trace.” Anything you bring in, must be carried out. Please pack your waste, trash and recyclables, and take it with you when you leave. You may use dead and downed wood as firewood, but do not cut live trees or brush. Snowmobiles can find trails beyond that to other portions of northern Wisconsin. Horse back riders and carriage drivers can use the Nicolet Trail to access many wilderness areas that are none motorized for riding and driving pleasure. In the winter, guests can also enjoy cross country skiing and snow shoeing through the forest. The resort is within 8 miles of two cross country ski courses. Oconto County has 58 lakes and 38 streams that host fisherman, swimming, and boating, and kayaking.

Silver Maple tent site has abundant room including two picnic tables. Surroundings offered a flat tent space, lovely tall trees to hear the wind’s rustle leaves and look up at the canopy above with mesh ceiling. Near a pit outhouse, bonus. Just a brief gravel road to beautiful wood showers and more amenities like an outdoor sink with faucet, Starlink internet and dock at lakeside for stargazing or other fun. Welcoming hosts, just look for gravel road turn by handful mailboxes before/after Wicklund (don’t turn there). You’ll know the entry point from seeing blue property lines. Look forward to a return trip!!

Matt takes excellent care of the property. His pride is obvious. He shares stories about the history of the resort. Everything is CLEAN! Each site has its own trash and recycling bins, so no hauling. I don't need to explain how wonderful it is to have our water hookup and sewer hookups right on site. We also had great conversations with him. I'd highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this Hipcamp site! It was so close to so many great activities and restaurants! The site was very clean and the startup firewood they left for free was very nice since we didn't get in until late. It was also nice to be able to purchase more on site! The site does sit close to the road, so we were a little concerned about our dogs, but we were able to park to block off some of the view and we didn't have any issues. Lori was super nice to work with and was thankfully close by to help us jump start our vehicle on the last day! lol (never fails) We rented a boat from Popps Marina (super affordable and friendly people) and we ate dinner at Rene's Supper Club. We are already trying to plan a trip back to the area!

Enjoyed the trakl walk along the Wolf River. The office/camp grocery is nice. I got a super warm hoodie for fall winter. The rv campsite wasn't very private. But it was across from the restroom. They have been having some plumbing issues. But an alternate shower & toilet were available. The showers were warm. The hosts were nice & informative. We will be back again.
