I'm located between Wisconsin Dells and Lyndon Station on a cozy little 3-acre corner lot at the intersection of Highway 12 and Oak Glen Circle. The property is mostly wooded with beautiful white oak trees that I've done my best to preserve. Each year, I welcome nesting bluebirds, robins, and ruby-throated hummingbirds. You'll also find several bird feeders that attract a wide variety of songbirds, along with squirrels, rabbits, and woodchucks that call the property home. Please note: I do have neighboring homes nearby, but it's a very quiet neighborhood of homeowners with no noisy renters. Please also note that as the host, I do live on property. I offer you your privacy but on occasion you may see me outside doing random chores on property. Please also note I have 2 dogs. They are very friendly animals and it's very possible at some point during your stay they may introduce themselves to you. Thankyou for understanding. The English Pale Campground is located along the Black River in Jackson County, 1 mile west of the Village of Melrose. The entire property only allows guests and occupants who are 21 or older. Sites/house can be booked 6 months in advance. The main campground is 70 feet elevation above the river, so the beach access paths have 14% grade change . We have 5 rustic (no hook-ups) RV/Travel Trailer/Tent sites "up top", a fully furnished “Manor” House, a travel trailer as well as 2 rustic beach sites and 2 rustic river sites that are located along the river. The property is a total of 70 acres, which includes the 4+ acre beach, a mile of river front and trails through the woods that connect them all. IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION: The river edge erosion wall suffered extensive damage. We have started the repair process on AUGUST 19, 2026. Site R4 is not affected, R3 HAS been moved onto the beach and R5/6 ARE closed. The English Pale opened in 2021 and is a developing property. In November 2025 an erosion wall was built along the Black River. This included clearing of a section of the forest, building a gravel access road using 3" base gravel, and an riprap river wall to prevent further erosion. Since 2016 over 60 feet of the riverbank has washed away. ATV/UTV/golfcarts are allow to operate on gravel pathways without any permits. This includes up to but NOT on the beach. A permit from management must be obtained for ATV/UTVs to operate ON the beach. Our property offers a reasonable expectation of privacy and we do not offer day passes as our target guests are campers. We are an adult only property, but not a nudist campground, as that is not our central theme. We do not prohibit our guests from nudity for the purpose of sunbathing on the beach, campsites or sundeck, but nudity is not allowed in general common areas. Part of our nature is allowing discreet nudity for tanning purposes. While we target couples for time together, singles and groups are welcome. We are 22 miles from the Kickapoo Valley Reserve, and a bit further North, from Ontario WI, one may embark by canoe or kayak, through some of the most stunning landscape to be found in Wisconsin. This area is called The Driftless because it lacks glacial drift, which refers to the deposits of silt, gravel and rock that glaciers would have left behind had they passed through this part of Southwestern Wisconsin. The area is unique in that the land here was never flattened by the ice that came through most of the Midwest during the last glacial period/ice age. When glaciers were in surrounding areas, the melt-water sometimes made its way into the Driftless Area and contributed to the formation of the valleys and bluffs which characterize the landscape, which is known for steep hills, forested ridges, deeply carved river valleys, and karst geology with caves and spring-fed cold water trout streams. Ecologically, the Driftless Area's flora and fauna are more closely related to those of the Great Lakes region and New England than those of the broader Midwest and central Plains regions.

The first time we viewed this property, we knew we were home. The woods, fields, wildlife, and house (created almost entirely from the lumber harvested from the land) drew us in. We purchased the home and 40 acres in 2018. Since then it has been a labor of love to make it everything we dream. A campground suitable for horseback riding was the goal for W15266. This was where the original homestead stood (firepit area). That home was transported across 95 on Davis road to become an Amish home. This area was overgrown and filled with rubbish, but still had a great deal of suitable plants hidden in the raspberries. We are continually working to groom it, and eventually, hope to better level the drive and sites and cover them with gravel. We need more and better fire pits and intend to have at least one more cabin- perhaps created from a refurbished corn crib? This cabin was refurbished in 2020 from the original homestead’s summer kitchen (where food was prepared to keep the house from getting too warm). Although it may have been easier to demolish and start over, Julie convinced Craig that the history was worth it. ;) I can’t tell you how disGUSTING it was, but we found treasures like the chair upstairs, the ironing board, and items on the walls and cupboards amongst the piles of Asian beetles and mouse chewings. Our current project you see in front is the bath/shower house. It has a toilet and shower and was completed 2021. With expansion, we will add one more toilet on the other side. The old shed in front, is a disaster. We fluctuate the same way we did with the summer kitchen: bulldoze or refurbish? It currently houses our equipment and lumber, but someday, we are hoping to have a small country Tiki bar. Craig has received the liquor license already. We love tucked away country bars with unique flavors, so we hope we can offer this to our customers. Jeske Equestrian is also a boarding/training facility. We built the horse barn in 2019, and last year we put up a 60x180 indoor riding arena. Maintaining and creating trails has been extensive. Keeping up on the signage and the trail map has been nearly impossible since Craig loves creating new ones with the skid steer on a regular basis! We are working on the pond area to be more recreational in our future as well. Thanks again for choosing us. We hope to see you again! Enjoy a stay at our rustic log cabins nestled 1/2 mile back from our residence in the peaceful woods of our family's 160-acre 5th generation farm. Summertime here is filled with long days of daylight to participate in various activities, or just hang out in the hammock. The warm evenings bring out fire flies, owls hooting, and stargazing while sitting around the campfire. The fall is a very special time of year here with the maples and oaks changing colors. There are two log cabins, one of which doubles as a place to cook maple syrup in the spring, a pavilion, and an odor-free "outhouse". We will only rent to one group at a time, you'll just have to choose which cabin site(s) you want. The group limit is 9 people. Hike the trails meandering through our woods, sit around the large campfire, take a relaxing nap in the hammock, watch sunset down one of the trails, or the many activities of hiking and mountain/fat tire biking groomed trails at nearby Levis/Trow Mound (our favorite), fishing, kayaking, horse trail rides, and The Highground Veterans Memorial Park (a must-see) is a mile up the road. The pavilion has a large log picnic table, Blackstone griddle, a charcoal grill, and refrigerator/freezer. The pavilion and Sugar Shack cabin have solar power. The Sugar Shack has a small gas stove and oven. The Cozy Cabin does not have solar power yet. All rentals include use of the pavilion and "outhouse". New in 2026 - outdoor shower with heated water. There is no WiFi but good cell phone service. Bedding is furnished for cabin stays. Wood and charcoal are furnished. Extra lawn chairs available. We have cornhole available and other yard games for use. All you really need to bring is food, beverages, towels & favorite book or game. We welcome your furry friends, but no more than 2 dogs. There is a $25 pet cleaning fee under extras. This $25 fee covers 2 dogs. We politely request no children under 7 in cabins, and then all children over 7 supervised at all times while in cabins. 2 night minimum; 3 night minimum on holiday weekends such as Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend, and 4th of July if it lands on a Friday or Monday. Neillsville is located just 2 hours from St. Paul, MN; 2 1/2 hours from Madison; 2 1/2 hours from Green Bay.

Welcome to our campground! We offer a variety of camping options: tent camping for a rustic experience, camper sites with electric/water hook-ups, or the option to rent our 5th wheel guest camper. Enjoy direct access to ATV/UTV trails and discover good fishing lakes nearby such as Petenwell, Camelot, Sherwood, Arrowhead, and more. Golf enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to The Sands, a future PGA course. Explore various activities like boating (refer to the fishing list for lakes), horseback riding, and more in the surrounding area. On-site amenities include a fire pit, pavilion, and grilling station for your convenience. Please note that the owner is on the property, and this is not a party location. For the Hunters out there, Property is open during gun hunting season with limited amenities (no Water - Toilet or 5th wheel rental) - but you do have direct access to approx 150 acres of Timber Land co property.

Christine met us upon arrival with a friendly welcome and showed us around the lovely place. Without any a.c., we stayed nice and cool at night with fans she provided. The sink and the microwave gave us all we needed to prepare quick dishes so that we didn't have to eat out every meal. The farmhouse provided us with a really nice amount of space that was very pleasant and comfortable. Outside, we enjoyed beautiful sunrises (one with an all-pink rainbow!) and making a fire in the firepit to watch the sunsets and moonrises. It was fun to be near the turkeys and cows. We also appreciated the cultural experience of being in Amish Country. The location was great for kayaking and exploring and Christine's info that she had on hand was very helpful. We really appreciate being able to bring our cat, who loved the layout and all the windows to sit by.

Weekend Trip to Echo Valley Farm

What an incredibly special place. From Deb's hospitality to the animals to the serene setting, there is so much to be enjoyed at the little slice of heaven. While the accommodations may be a tad rustic, they're clean, comfortable, and cozy. Just make sure you pack your own kitchen kit and bring wood. The area offers so much for an outdoor enthusiast, or you can relax and listen to nature! I'd recommend exploring their trails, especially at sunset. And the proverbial cherry on top? Their on-site bakery scones. Absolutely delicious! I will be adding Echo Valley to my yearly travel schedule.

Weekend Trip to Echo Valley Farm

Dena was very nice and the property was just as described. Nice, cozy cabin with plenty of blankets for the cool evenings (there was also a heater if we had needed it). We were traveling on our motorcycle and she was sure that we had a decent place to park the bike. The driveway is sloped, but had a couple of flat portions we could use easily. We got to meet the sheep, cats and chickens - And although the rooster crowed in the morning - it was really a peaceful stay. Would stay again!

We spent the night at the primitive cabin and found it to be perfect for our needs! When our travel was delayed, Julie was super gracious and accommodating for a much later than expected arrival, which we greatly appreciated. The cabin was cozy and perfect for our overnight and encouraged a relaxed morning before heading on.

My two kids (11&13) and I had a fantastic time staying here. It was quiet and peaceful and the cabin has everything that you could need to have a good time on the water, or to just hang out in the house. I'm hoping we can visit again next year!

This was the perfect place for me after a very intense several months at work. I scheduled a couple of days away to spend time in the country. Being able to see calves when I stepped outside was charming, and the accommodations made me feel safe and comfortable. My first night, I sat on the patio and looked at the stars, and while rain prevented me from getting in all the hiking I wanted, it was a good opportunity to read and rest.

Our stay at The Cozy Camper was an amazing experience during our road trip! Before we arrived, we reached out to Steve with a few questions, and he was incredibly responsive and helpful. The camper was very comfortable, and we slept great. Steve greeted us when we arrived, offered us cold bottles of water, and even had snacks available in case we needed them. His dogs were so sweet and made us feel even more welcome. There was a neighbor's dog (black fluffy) that came to greet us too, but don't get scared, it's very playful. We enjoyed relaxing by a bonfire, and Steve thoughtfully provided marshmallow roasting sticks. The bathroom was beautifully decorated, spotless, and stocked with air freshener and all the amenities we needed. Steve was a wonderful host, and we really enjoyed chatting with him about our trip. The location was perfect, right off the highway, making it easy to find, yet surprisingly quiet, so our sleep wasn't disturbed at all. If we're ever passing through the area again, we would definitely stay here again. We highly recommend The Cozy Camper to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming place to stay!

3 nights at Rustic Log Cabin Retreat

It was the perfect getaway for me and my kids, we love that we have the whole site to ourselves with everything that we need and it's peaceful and quiet. Everything there is really maintained except the trails, it was nice around the site but we want to go all the way around and the weeds on the trail was too tall so we had to turned around otherwise everything else was great! We had a great time there, loved the fire pit at night and the Pavillion was excellent for everyone to hangout and eat. Thanks Judy and Kevin for sharing your property and family history with us, we appreciated your hospitality and thank you for hosting us.
