Enjoy a stay at our rustic log cabins nestled 1/2 mile back from our residence in the peaceful woods of our family's 160-acre 5th generation farm. The fall is a very special time of year here with the maples and oaks. There's nothing better than sitting around a campfire on a cool fall day or evening. There are 2 log cabins, one doubles as a place to cook maple syrup in the spring, a pavilion and an odor-free "outhouse". If you just want to put up a tent instead on the property, that's another option. We will only rent to one group at a time, you'll just have to choose which cabin/tent site you want. The group limit is 9 people. Hike the trails meandering through our woods, sit around the large campfire, take a relaxing nap in the hammock, watch sunset down one of the trails, or the many activities of hiking and groomed mountain/fat tire biking at nearby Levis/Trow Mound , fishing, kayaking, horse trail rides, and The Highground Veterans Memorial Park is a mile up the road. The pavilion has a large log picnic table, Blackstone griddle, charcoal grill and refrigerator/freezer. The pavilion and Sugar Shack cabin have solar power. The Sugar Shack has a small gas stove and oven. The Cozy Cabin does not have solar power yet. All rentals include use of the pavilion and "outhouse". No wi-fi but there is good cell phone service. Bedding is furnished for cabin stays. Wood is furnished. We welcome your furry friends, but no more than 2 dogs. We request no children under 7 in cabins, unless you are only tenting, then all are welcome. UPDATE: The gravel road down to the cabins is completed and smooth. Neillsville is located just 2 hours from St. Paul, MN; 2 1/2 hours from Madison; 2 1/2 hours from Green Bay.

Sugar Shack Cabin
This was a wonderful place!! Very beautiful and secluded. Wonderful hosts who did so much to make our stay extra nice! We really appreciated that our dogs were welcomed as well and could be off leash. Very nice trails to walk and campfire area. The outhouse was very clean and the nicest I have ever been to! Great wood fired pizza and blueberry pancakes too! If you desire and let them know. We will absolutely be back. Do yourself a favor and go as well!

Entire Rustic Cozy Retreat
A stunning rustic retreat.
The setting, the cabins and the attention to detail alone warrant five stars. Kevin and Judy have put their hearts and souls into this beautiful, rustic get-a-way. We had such a great time and went home with beautiful memories. We loved hiking the trails, watching the sunset, listening to the birds, hanging out at the fire pit and using the outdoor kitchen. Our dog lived his best life out there haha! Kevin and Judy were so thoughtful and we can’t thank them enough for sharing such a wonderful place with us. We will definitely return! - The Sheas and Dresslers

Great place, loved the view. No noise from the roads so it felt like authentic camping the whole weekend. A lot of work was put into this place and we plan on staying again someday.

Sugar Shack Cabin
Just what I was looking for!
If you're looking for the perfect solo or small group getaway, this is it. Tucked away off the highway on Kevin and Judy's property is a slice of fresh air to enjoy. I loved the privacy and feeling completely safe. You can tell that they've put a lot of thoughtful work and attention to detail in their space. The road to the cabins is newly laid, the cabins are equipt with everything you could need, and I thouroughly enjoyed using the pavillion to enjoy breakfast and dinner, next time I'll come prepared to use the outdoor brick oven as well. The hammock was a perfect spot for a nap or reading and we enjoyed a fire every night after watching the sunset off one of their trails. I appreciated the lables and helpful markings around the space and Kevin and Judy were wonderful and kind hosts. My dog also enjoyed the space! Being off leash and walking through some of the trails on the property made him a very happy pup. Another great thing about this location is it's perfect for exporing things close by! There's a list of plenty of things to get outdoors and do. I clearly can't say enough great things about my visit and I'm very excited to plan my next trip.

Rustic Cabin Retreat
Once you see the camp you will most likely fall in love with it immediately. Large secluded camp site/ground with a rustic theme. A lot of space to play yard games or let the kids/pets run around. Large fire ring with patio furniture and large pavilion to hang out in with a fridge, freezer, and various cooking options. The cabins were super cool and beds were very comfortable. They had a lot of extra supplies with everything being organized and clearly labeled. Lots of trails to walk around and the bugs were not that bad when we went. Only trouble we had was finding the place and the road to the site was a little rocky. The hosts are super friendly and replied very quickly when we asked questions. This place had us regretting not staying longer. We are already planning another trip! Highly recommend visiting this place!
