CAMPSITE IS LOCATED IN THE ORCHARD. Please do not enter the main farm driveway. If you are not looking at Apple trees you are in the wrong place. Pets need to be on a leash and cleaned up after. Please do not leave them out of the orchard. My grandfather purchased the property and everything you can see 360° around you in 1953. The orchard was started in 1962 and the large trees date back to that time and still produce apples. My dad took over in 1985 and it has been part of my life ever since. After my dads passing in 2017 the property fell to me. At it's peak there were 85 trees that produced 500 bushels of apples per season. All hand pruned, sprayed and picked. We sold them 5 days a week at local farmers markets. Currently, about two dozen trees are maintained, the rest feed the local wildlife. An orchard is a year round commitment. Weekend Trip to CampStaysAtCamp

I stayed at the RV site. Good size for about an 18 foot RV, more length may be pushing the space to its limit. There is water and power at this site. There is a remarkable (Best On HipCamp it seems) outhouse approx 100 yards from the site as well. Nice walking trail, and plenty of star gazing, moon gazing. Owner has wood for sale on site. Owner is also a super nice guy, and can accommodate pretty much anything you need. There is another site more in the woods, primarily for tent (RTT) camping that the owner may advertise for rental later this year (2025). This site is more remote/private, very well maintained, large (approx 50 meters X 30 meters), and should easily fit 3 or 4 tents if your traveling in a group. There is a remote possibility the owner may open a very primitive, solo tent camping location......... stay tuned. All sites are accessible by auto/truck, but you could also park in the lot and just hike into the tent camping locations, or drop off your gear and park in the lot to save space at your site. Overall a great three days / two nights staring at the fire and moon with my dog.

Nice, quiet stay! When we saw the ATV signs on the roads to the camp, we worried it would be loud, but it definitely wasn’t. Very cute and host was super nice. Pit toilet was immaculately clean.

Great place with very accommodating folks running it. We are stayed twice, once in the spring and once in the fall. It is very beautiful in the spring while everything is in bloom. Nice private area off the beaten path. We will definitely stay again.

We were coming in late in the day and late in the season and Western was extremely quick with response time and helping us pick a site. We only stayed over night but the grounds were well kept and the bathrooms and showers were clean and well kept as well.

Great location with a very thoughtful host! Wish we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy the lake. The site is spacious and easy to get into. There are other folks and homes nearby, but there is plenty of privacy.

We pulled in with a little vintage trailer, young lady that was on duty that night took care of us put us in our spot brought us wood. She was quite Pleasant and efficient. The amenities were clean and well taken care of, we understand new management is just taking over and it is making changes and we like the Direction the park is going in. We will definitely stay here again if we are in this area again.

Cedar hills is a lovely hidden gem. It was so freeing to just be sunbathing naked in nature. There weren't too many people so there was enough room to space out. Felt very comfortable as 2 women campers. Dennis was great! Will definitely be frequenting next season.

Had an awesome time out there. Got to meet the owner, Dennis, which was great. The views are unreal, and there’s plenty of site options—whether you want to be up on the ridge looking out or down in the valley. Already looking forward to heading back next year.

This is our second time to cedar hills and again it was amazing. We were lucky enough to get site 20 with the swing and the beautiful view! The rains have for sure made it buggy but manageable! We had wonderful weather and we will be back again for sure it was quiet and everyone was polite and friendly

1 night at Armstrong Orchard & Spoonlickers

We choose the front camping spot near the parking lot rather than the orchard spots because we were in a 42ft 5th wheel. We set up right off the parking lot, facing the orchards. It was a lovely setting and convenient to the coffee and ice cream Cafeand outside play area. Family came over to play on the playground, jump on the jump pillow and play bags outside. We also enjoyed a giant Bavarian pretzel, sandwiches, hot dogs and of course ice cream!!! They have you covered for breakfast, lunch and dinner! And aĺl sorts of yummy baked goods and other local fare and flowers for sale. We were a bit too early for apple picking but the orchard were showing signs of alot of yummy apples! If you are in larger rigs, I would recommend booking the frontspot off the parking lot and the area is big enough to position your rig facing whichever direction. If you are a smaller camper, setting up in the apple orchard is a lovely, more private area. The family is soo nice and accommodating and everything we tried in the café was delicious!!! The evening is very quiet and we felt very secure. We will definetly be back when in the area!

Weekend Trip to Western Woods Campground

Western Woods is a lovely private campground with quite a few amenities. There’s a pool, horseshoe pits, volleyball net, basketball, etc. there are quite a few permanent campers there, but still plenty of spaces for regular campers. Just know that the pull through lots do not have any shade. Everybody was friendly and helpful. I can definitely see us visiting there again sometime. Not to mention that it is very convenient for visiting the Wisconsin Dells.

Weekend Trip to Natures Garden

I did not get to take advantage of the complete property due to recent flooding in the area. Our host made this issue very clear to me before I came up though. My wife and I were exploring Janesville and just needed a place for the night. It was a perfect weekend. The weather was so nice. It was so quiet there. The way the campsite was set up allowed the wind to just go straight through our camper. I was greeted by a couple of wagging tail camp ambassadors while walking the driveway. They were very friendly. I would definitely go back if i had plans to be in the area.
