Situated on 36 acres, this working farm is 2 miles West of Taylors Falls. Dan bought this property with the intention of growing stone fruits (plums, peaches, apricots and cherries) using sustainable and organic practices because health and wellness matter to them! They are still in the process of improving their property. Many of the building on the property were in poor condition, including the old barn foundation which is now one of Dan and Danielle favorite places to keep cool in the summer. After they had excavated all the debris (which took years) they were able to transform it with gardens and fire pit for all to enjoy. They love sharing what they have been blessed with! Enjoy our back lot for a private campsite which borders a prairie preserve. Watch the deer come in the morning and evening and listen to our friendly, happy hens cluck away, not to mention all the beautiful song birds. We are happy to share our golf clubs and balls to hit a few into the field. Our kids love it! Tree coverage along with an open field. We cut the field to offer a walking trail to the prairie preserve. There is a tree surronded, very private tent site for tenters, but if you have a camper you can find a spot that works best for you! (The tent site is very private and a camper would not fit.) We are a short 10 min drive to Stillwater but there is so much to do in Somerset! Take a walk around the prairie preserve and kayak down the apple river, but don’t forget the local brewery and boutique shop. There is some great fishing on local lakes in the area as well. We offer a 30 amp electric hook up and our hose for water. We also have a shower tent with a camping porta potty.

This was an incredible place to stay! Allen and Sue are fabulous, as is Pancho, the wonder dog (and I hope he found his frisbee, which I thought that he could more intelligently and quickly find at the edge of the prairie than I.) The cottage is great and my only regret is that we didn't have more time to spend there. Sue and Allen also generously shared rhubarb (I made sauce this week), herbs, tomatoes and cucumbers before we left and I came home with a nice collection of delicious canned goods from the farm as well as from their neighbor's bakery. This is a beautiful farm and highly recommended as a place to come and relax and sit on the deck watching the chickens wander against the backdrop of the prairie nestled in the hills on this farm homestead.

Staying on Dan's farm was a dream! The campsite was beautiful, private, and very well-maintained. The yurt was perfect for us - clean, spacious, and on a level platform. We especially loved meeting the chickens on the farm and taking an impromptu farm tour with Dan. And Dan is unparalleled in his hospitality! When he saw the overnight temperatures were lower than we had expected, he offered us extra sweaters and hats to be comfortable. He is one of the most warm and kindhearted people you'll meet. We highly recommend!

I loved the cabin and all I had to bring was clothes and food they had everything I needed and wanted. The lake was nice the people were friendly and my dogs loved it!

1 night at Cozy Lofted Barn Retreat

This was a little slice of heaven! Very peaceful property with such an inviting and cozy space to stay. We were there in the heat of the summer, and there were fans set up in the attic to keep us comfortable. Loved it. And Breakfast was delicious!

Dan is very responsive. If you want to have a VERY private spot, Stone Creek Farms is great. Bugs can be bad, so put some pray on before you make the long walk to your site!

Beutiful site, well maintained. We spent nights around the campfire. Very peaceful but close to the Blue Ox festival. I will definitely look at booking again.

2 nights at Stone Creek Farm

Dan’s land is beautiful and serene. It is very close to Taylor’s Falls and convenient to anything you would need or want to do in the area. The tent was clean and in great shape as was the outhouse. So nice not to have to worry about tent set up! The fireflies were stunning and the summer sounds of the woods relaxing. It was the perfect place for our toddler’s first camping experience as the sites are spread out enough she could not disturb others if she were to struggle to sleep. Thankfully she did great and we can’t wait to return. Dan was even kind enough to hold a chicken close for our little girl to see up close and sent us off with beautiful fresh eggs for the week!
