Learn more about this land:Wonderful place to spend time with nature without distractions. There are multiple state parks near by within a few minute drive. The property contains a Tree Fort for sitting/relaxing/hunting. There is a tree stand for hunting. 2-5 min drive to the local State parks that have canoe/boat access. 10-15 min drive to Deep Creek Lake. Close to Wisp Ski Resort. Close to BlackBear Tavern that has go carting, mini golf, food, beer, etc. Shed has a NEMA 14-50 charging port for charging EV's. There are also 9v outlets available outside of the Cabin for other appliances. I have camped several times on my property with my EV! Wonderful time! Recommend Heidi's Bakery for Food/Baked goods or Traders Coffee House for Coffee and Breakfast.

Onsite access to well water, with pump and hose. Secluded and off the beaten path, the owners of the property are available if needed but several miles away. 15 minutes from Interstate 79, 10 minutes from Glenville WV. Foodland and Dollar General 8 minute drive, for any necessities you may have forgot. McDonalds, Pizza Hut and Tudors are located nearby. Close to Burnsville Lake, Sutton Lake, Glenville University, Sue Morris Sports Complex. The New River Gorge is approximately 85 miles away, an easy day trip. Acreage to explore, deer friends often visit. Pet friendly. Check in and out times are flexible, please let us know how we can best accommodate you and your party. Welcome to our Island Farm! We're located between Davis, Parsons, and Elkins. Dolly Sods, Canaan, Audra State Park, the Tygart River, the Cheat River, Seneca Rocks, and Tygart Lake are all a simple and scenic trip away. The land itself is 10 acres. The main camp area is on flat field and approximately 4 acres. Here is the secret recipe to this camp site: It will be all yours! We only offer a single primitive site per night. There are no neighbors (at least the human kind) visible from anywhere on the main field. Very minimal light pollution. The stars are clearly visible on a clear night. There are also no utilities. This includes water, electricity, or available enclosed shelters. Verizon and AT&T have strong signals in the field. There is a metal carport that has a concrete pad along with a Porta John for privacy. There are also some storage buildings on site. There is a gas station (Sheetz in Belington, WV) within 5 miles of the farm site and a Dollar General within 3 miles. Beyond that, Elkins has plenty of store options if you need supplies. Interstate 79 is 32 miles away. We are in the process of developing the far corner of the main field into an active hops farm and are members of a WV Co-Hop. Again: this site is secluded and your group will be the only people there during your stay. We will provide detailed directions when you make your reservation. The driveway is steep and could cause issues for two wheel drive vehicles in winter. If it's rained extensively there could also be some muddy areas which we ask that you try to avoid.

You will have a quiet and relaxing camp with nothing but babbling brooks and campfire crackling. Easy access to Allegheny Trail Trailhead 178-188 Peddlers Glory trail which is an old roadbed that follows the creek and used to be a state-maintained road once upon a time. It is still a great hiking trail and is a very popular trail for UTV's and ATV's accessible from this site. Ragtavern Road also offers miles of back country exploring and riding adventures as well. Local places to enjoy including High Ground Brewery, Portland Coffee Shop and Shorthorns restaurant and music venue all within 4 miles.

Weekend Trip to DaLazy Bear Camp

We loved this Hipcamp! It was clean, private, and had everything we needed. Our little one enjoyed her adventures around the property and meeting the owners and I enjoyed the quiet. They left beautiful flowers on the picnic table that attracted butterflies the entire time we were there. We are definitely hoping to come back!
