Our property was a small family farm for several generations. Our family purchased the property about 18 years ago. Since we are not farmers but love living here, the question became "What would be the best use for the land?" Living in a scenic area and already being in the vacation rental business on some other family property answered the question. We decided to share the beautiful view and seclusion of our area with others. Our goal was to keep the cost of building down so that we could pass on the savings to you so that you would not have to be rich to enjoy our lovely area. This inspired the idea of a glamping cabin. The cabin is actually a repurposed office building that was built about the time this property was purchased by our family. We moved it to the present location and completely remodelled it in 2018 and added the bathroom. For 4 years, guests enjoyed an off-the-grid experience. In 2023, when we began work on the glamping dome (stay tuned--coming soon!!), we decided to add electricity, running water, and a hot tub to the tiny house! Dolly Sods, Canaan, Audra State Park, the Tygart River, the Cheat River, Seneca Rocks, and Tygart Lake are all a simple and scenic trip away. The land itself is 10 acres. The main camp area is on flat field and approximately 4 acres. Here is the secret recipe to this camp site: It will be all yours! We only offer a single primitive site per night. There are no neighbors (at least the human kind) visible from anywhere on the main field. Very minimal light pollution. The stars are clearly visible on a clear night. There are also no utilities. This includes water, electricity, or available enclosed shelters. Verizon and AT&T have strong signals in the field. There is a metal carport that has a concrete pad along with a Porta John for privacy. There are also some storage buildings on site. There is a gas station (Sheetz in Belington, WV) within 5 miles of the farm site and a Dollar General within 3 miles. Beyond that, Elkins has plenty of store options if you need supplies. Interstate 79 is 32 miles away. We are in the process of developing the far corner of the main field into an active hops farm and are members of a WV Co-Hop. Again: this site is secluded and your group will be the only people there during your stay. We will provide detailed directions when you make your reservation. The driveway is steep and could cause issues for two wheel drive vehicles in winter. If it's rained extensively there could also be some muddy areas which we ask that you try to avoid.

Welcome to our Island Farm! We're located between Davis, Parsons, and Elkins. Dolly Sods, Canaan, Audra State Park, the Tygart River, the Cheat River, Seneca Rocks, and Tygart Lake are all a simple and scenic trip away. The land itself is 10 acres. The main camp area is on flat field and approximately 4 acres. Here is the secret recipe to this camp site: It will be all yours! We only offer a single primitive site per night. There are no neighbors (at least the human kind) visible from anywhere on the main field. Very minimal light pollution. The stars are clearly visible on a clear night. There are also no utilities. This includes water, electricity, or available enclosed shelters. Verizon and AT&T have strong signals in the field. There is a metal carport that has a concrete pad along with a Porta John for privacy. There are also some storage buildings on site. There is a gas station (Sheetz in Belington, WV) within 5 miles of the farm site and a Dollar General within 3 miles. Beyond that, Elkins has plenty of store options if you need supplies. Interstate 79 is 32 miles away. We are in the process of developing the far corner of the main field into an active hops farm and are members of a WV Co-Hop. Again: this site is secluded and your group will be the only people there during your stay. We will provide detailed directions when you make your reservation. The driveway is steep and could cause issues for two wheel drive vehicles in winter. If it's rained extensively there could also be some muddy areas which we ask that you try to avoid.

Weekend Trip to Olde Tyme Cabins

The location was perfect! We felt secluded in our little camp and were able to hike up the hillside nearby. We loved the campfire with the lights strung around, and there were roasting sticks in one of the RV cubbies. The hot tub was amazing. We did get rained out of the hot tub, since there is no awning over it, but once the rain stopped, we were able to enjoy again. The master bed was comfortable, and the bunk beds have a curtain to keep lights out for later sleepers. We camped in mid-November and stayed warm and cozy the whole time. Our only complaint was the water. It never quite worked well enough to shower, and washing dishes was frustrating. We did let our hosts know, and they came quickly to work on it, which helped for a short while, but didn't last the duration.

So calming and a good place to sleep! We were just spending the night but would be a great place to spend a weekend. Sweet cats greet you, also ducks and chickens. Fridge, microwave, and coffee pot available. Enclosed bathroom with shower and toilet inside. Great little diner down the road! Just be advised there is no signal there or the surrounding area. The wifi works well for the TV but not great for cellphones.

The Camp is literally right behind Seneca Rocks on a private property with amazing views. Wade was kind enough to stock us up with more than enough firewood and was super helpful prior to and during our arrival. We are already making plans to return!

My friends and I had a great time at Cabin 3! The hosts were quick to respond to our inquiries, and the staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The cabin can comfortably fit more than four people and still has plenty of space to move around. Both the indoor and outdoor bathrooms were clean. It’s the best place to relax, unwind, and enjoy good company. Highly recommend!

Spearmint Patch was a great little spot! We stayed during the fall and the foliage was beautiful. Our pups had an awesome time being able to be off leash. But hands down, you can’t beat the proximity of this campsite from the Seneca Rocks trails. Would definitely recommend to others interested in hitting the trail during their stay. The road did have more traffic than expected, but it seems like that was just the timing due to a project being done further up the roadway.

We had a great weekend at the Creekside Hollow site- a long and rolling space with plenty of room for 4 tents to spread out and have private spaces- could easily have accommodated a couple more tents. Wade was great, very communicative and proactive. I’d advise to get all your ducks in a row before getting to the site as cell service cuts out outside of town. I will definitely be back!

This camp is absolutely incredible, it’s tucked away in a beautiful spot of the mountains right next to the lake. There are tons of friendly kitties around and some very affectionate chickens. Acadia and her Mom are the nicest people in the world, and their baked goods are the absolute best around. It is criminal not to get some! They will make sure you are comfortable, and safe from anything that may pop up. There are also tons of trails around to explore in walking distance and you are also minutes from downtown and the lake. This is a must stop place for anyone to camp at nearby!

The Moonshine Treenet was truly spectacular! Wade was an excellent host, giving us a thorough tour and helping us find the right spot to park, as well as helping us find a water pump at nearby Yokum's. The Treenet is really magical, it has several different layers with different places to sit, lay out, swing, or climb around and lots of great views of Seneca Rocks. We slept up at the very top which was a truly unforgettable experience!

We absolutely loved this spot. Very secluded, which was exactly what we needed for a reset weekend. Only one other plot we are aware of this property, and it wasn’t in use (a small cabin on the other side of a tree line). Nestled in the Appalachian foothills, the lush greenery and vibrant fall colors made this plot especially perfect. We loved the meadow, and having such a large, secluded space to ourselves for the weekend. We will be back!

As a newbie to car camping, Camp Holly was exactly what I was looking for. Nestled in the mountains, my site #4 was perfect and had a nice little path down the bank to the creek. The pond is well maintained and there's a great hiking trail up the hill that my dog and I enjoyed. Firewood was readily available with carts to haul it the short walk back to campsite. The sites were clean and well cared for and if there was any drawback, it might be the noise of motorcycles and trucks from Rte 20 at time. (FYI bikers - WVA 15 from Flatwood to Diana and loop back north on 20 would be an amazing ride, but yeah, what part of WVa isn't?) The noise didn't bother me other than "made you look" reaction. I only mention it because it may be annoying to some. I got tired of my camp food so the last night I ordered out from the diner up the road - not to disappoint it was good old home cooked food and the owner was super friendly. Last but not least, the bath house was immaculate and was cleaned daily. I think you'll enjoy your stay at Camp Holly and highly recommend it.

Coon Creek Cove is a wonderful place to get away and recharge out in some nature. The space is very nice for a small camper like our teardrop or a tent. I wouldn’t bring any kind of large RV as the road getting into their valley is very tight with several switchbacks. Nick is an incredible host who showed us right to our site, checked up on us and always asked if we needed anything. The space is well maintained and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed hearing the rooster crow at all hours of the day.

What a wonderfully peaceful place. Aside from a few cars passing by the otherwise quiet road, I felt wonderfully solitary at the campsite. I loved that hikes through Seneca Rocks were easy to get to, just a short walk down the road, and they were absolutely gorgeous. There is no wifi/cell service, so if you need connection you'll need to stop by the diner/convenience store in town where there's free wifi in the parking lot. But do stop in and maybe take a seat on the porch! I met some of the loveliest fellow travelers and locals and got some tasty jam, too!
