The parking lot is behind trees, approx 50 ft from the main road which has regular daily traffic and noise driving by at the top of the site. It quiets down after work in the evenings. Dogs bark because they are dogs, but when you go deep into the forest you can barely hear the road or the dogs. The parking area can only be located there, in order to maintain the ecology of Ames Creek.
The entrance is down through either of two driveways from the main road, on a horseshoe loop drive-through, to the L-shaped parking lot. Tent camping is 4 to 6 total soft pads in the forest near the parking sites. Note: Ames Creek does dry up in mid-summer.
For large RVs maneuvering skills are required to park on the level 23 ft long parking pads in the parking area down the hill from the road. It is a U-shaped drive-through, flat at the bottom of the small driveway hill.

Everyone who sees it remarks that this forest is beautiful. It has a main trail and many small pathways between ferns and hillocks. In an effort to preserve and protect this wild habitat, we have already planted 200 + Western Red Cedars, Douglas Firs, salal, snowberry, native current, and other native vegetation.
This is a great private spot for an RV or similar vehicles and 2 tent circles.
A firepit, and porta-potty next to each pad, another firepit in one of the 2 tent circles for each RV parking pad site.
A completely natural untouched Pacific moss rainforest about 30 miles inland on the foothills of the Mount Baker–Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington State. Some areas it is likely no one has ever walked on.
Bring mosquito repellent. Be aware of kids and dogs near road entrances, as well as near the creek in the winter.
It is located near major fun sites, it is a wilderness playground!
Ames Creek dries up mid-July and returns in Sept/Oct. There are a lot of little paths crisscrossing the creek, likely raccoon and deer trails.
We are happy to have your dogs visit - they will love it!
Please remember to bring an extension cord to access power.
There are fire pits. When possible firewood is provided gratis in the woodshed. There are bundles of wood for sale at the Ace Hardware store in Carnation.

Paula's property was great! Just a few sites, with no sightlines between them. We heard our neighbors one evening, but that was more their fault than that of sight proximity, and it wasn't obnoxious by any means. The campsite itself was great. We were in a rooftop tent, and there was plenty of space for us vertically and laterally. I'm not sure the site would be appropriate for a palatial 8-10 person car-camping tent, but I don't know think it's advertised as such, so not knocking it--just dropping an FYI for others looking.
My wife grew up on crappy well water, so she was nervous about the "filtered well water", but the post's touting it is well-warranted--even she agreed it was quite good!
Paula was also very helpful and communicative, checking in multiple times via the app, but not intrusive or anything.
Would definitely stay again if/when we head back that way!

If you need somewhere to camp close to Seattle this is a great location. As stated in the description you need to be self sufficient, so only really suitable if you have a trailer. The hosts were friendly and shared some lovely local wine. It’s in a quiet part of the city, but close to restaurants and bars etc.

I loved how the camping area was on grass. Not dirt or gravel.It was very quiet and the hosts were great! It’s basically an open field so it was easy for me to use StarLink to connect and have phone service and Wi-Fi. And only a 15 minute walk to the ocean! This was wonderful for me and my dog.

Jana was a lovely host. She took the time to communicate thoughtful, helpful information that made finding her place effortless. The farm is beautiful and you can tell she and her husband love it. The farm is a very short bike ride to downtown Redmond or Woodinville. This was our last farm stay of a two month long trip so we really appreciated how seamless it was.

We had to make a last minute camping change due to fires in the area we were supposed to visit. Jana and her husband were incredibly helpful, warm, and inviting. We camped in spot 2 of their Christmas tree farm and had so much space, and a beautiful view of their Christmas trees.
The port-a-potty’s were incredibly clean, and there was plenty to walk around and admire. My whole crew really appreciated the colorful gravel sea glass driveway.
Jana’s family does a great job making guests feel welcome. I didn’t get a chance to do the u-pick flowers this time, but will definitely be back for that, and for the pumpkin patch.

Such a wonderful family farm! Everyone was so sweet! We had a personal tour from the granddaughter. We also got to meet their wonderful Kittens and hang out with them for a long time. I highly recommend staying here! We were in town for a mountain bike trip and will absolutely stay here again in the future when we’re up there riding. Everybody was so accommodating. Jana really created such a wonderful space. We will be back to pick up pumpkins as well! Thank you all!

It was great for an overnight. I would not hang out on the land, but it served its purpose for a stop on the way up to Anacortes. I would stay here again if I needed a place to park my van overnight.

We loved camping on Traisa’s land! The land is spacious, grassy, and shaded and best of all extremely quiet. We attended a concert at the nearby winery and camped on the land in our camper van with our dog. There are nearby trails up the road in the forest that we went on several times with our dog which she loved. Traisa was extremely gracious in helping us in navigating our plans. She was the perfect mix of being available and yet giving us space. I would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling to the Seattle area!

We absolutely loved staying on Traisa’s land! The land is beautiful and there are some nice hikes nearby that we took our dog on. Traisa and her husband were gracious hosts, helping us with logistics for the concert we attended at nearby winery. We hope to stay there again in the future and highly recommend it!

I So appreciate the healthy air in the restroom! There were no air fresheners automatically spraying toxic chemicals! This is such a great place to stay. It's a low key well organized basic campground that offers flush toilets, clean showers, electric and water hookups and septic dumping. The proximity to stores, restaurants and recreational options is perfect, far enough away to be peaceful yet close enough to easily get to whatever you want. And finally, the hosts were top notch, such pleasant people who were doing good work.
