This property is a great camp for enjoying everything that Eastern Washington outdoors has to offer. The Columbia river is in the valley below which provides fishing and watersports. The property is adjacent to thousands of acres of State and federal land which are free to explore. Winter tends to bring significant snowfall which makes this a great destination for winter sports as well. The property sits on top of a mountain plateau known as Harmony Heights. The site is about a 20 minute drive to Brewster or Pateros and about 40 minutes to Lake Chelan.  This is an fairly large site and will accommodate two RV's as well as plenty of area for tent camping. There is plenty of good spots to play with dogs without any conflicts. Despite the existence of year round residences and cabins this area is still very wild so you have a chance of an encounter with any critter that is native to the forests and prairies of North Central Washington. This includes but is not limited to the occasional bull snake, rattle snake, badger, black bear, mule deer, whitetail deer, moose, coyote, wolf, mountain lion, bobcat, as well as all kinds of birds including blue birds, hawks, owls, turkey, chukar, ravens, Hungarian partridge, quail, and forest grouse. Exquisitely beautiful area formed by melting glaciers forming the "Alta Coulee". The campground is situated at the South end of Alta Lake, owned and operated by my grandparents in 1946 until my father took over in 1980 adding commercial Outfitting and Guide services by Sawtooth Outfitters. Covid put a halt on business for a few years, but we have once again opened the gates and are conducting business similar to those of the "Good Ol' Days"! With each new season brings a new opportunity and a small improvement project to continue paving the way into the future of Whistlin' Pine! The lake is 220 acres known to Anglers near and far. Plenty of room for the sunseekers wanting to play in the water on paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, and water skiing. An 18-hole Golf Course resides at the North end of the lake and white water rafting just a few miles down the hill on the Methow River. For the foodies, Chelan is just 30 miles south and Twisp/Winthrop is 40 miles to the North, also abundant with events, wineries, and shopping. Guided Horseback riding is available onsite, must book in advance. We offer free Wi fi to guests near the office only. Additional information on the website at www.altalakeranch.com.

We’ve had this property in my family for over 30 years and it is been a potato farm, a cattle ranch, and a Lumber-mill site. We built our cabin from scratch from 47 tamarack large trees on our property. This is a very rustic and remote log cabin situated on 120 acres that is adjacent to DNR state land. It is primarily forested and teaming with wildlife. The cabin is about 4000 feet in elevation on Lemonasky Mountain just 1 mile below and an historical fire look-out. It is perched on top of a beautiful large meadow with a 50 mile view that has wonderful sunrises and sunsets.

Captivating views of the Lake Chelan valley and mountains. We have a few choice sites on our working orchard and vineyard/winery for discerning quiet campers to enjoy. On-property bike/hike trail, bike rentals, possible opportunity to tour our small European-style winery/barrel cellar for cider and wine tastings. At our mile-long 100 acre property camp sites vary from secluded walk-in/4WD tent only, to convenient shaded trailer pull-offs to sunny field campsites. There are five site choices for a total of four sites at any one time. All are spacious compared to most alternatives; most have great views of lakes and mountains. Numerous wineries nearby. Please see photos as the HipCamp property map is not accurate (use 308 Kinsey Road for GPS and mapping) Email/text or call to arrange best possible site for you! We strongly prefer arrival during daylight hours only! Options available for wine and cider making, E-bike tours and rentals with arrangements made in advance please.

We purchased this 60+ acre property in 2004 as an apple orchard. We still maintain 12 acres of the orchard and replaced the rest with grape vines several years ago. This peaceful location with surrounding mountains, lakes and nature will make you want to call it home. Whether you are planning on spending your time relaxing, wine tasting, hiking, fishing, hunting or a little bit of everything this camp site is just minutes from it all. Please arrive by or before 9pm to guarantee check in.
