We can't wait for you to experience this tiny house in the woods. Check back weekly to see our progress photos! We call this a treehouse but it's technically supported by posts (nicer to the trees). There is a fullsize high end queen memory foam bed on the upper floor. Yes, this is a 2 story treehouse! On the second floor there is also a children's sleeping loft which overlooks the rest of the bedroom. This loft is suitable for a small child or 2 but headroom is only a few feet. We found it also requires some youthfull agility to get up there. A beautiful knotty alder slidding barn door leads from the bedroom to a private bathroom with pedestal sink and odorless composting toilet. There is a small kitchen with a coffee maker, mini fridge, induction cooktop, mini crockpot, and enough dishes and glasses to enjoy a simple meal or drink. Water pressure in the kitchen and throughout is good! There is a soaking tub on the main floor near the fireplace and TV with free Netflix. This luxury tub is sure to be a favorite amongst guests. I designed a non traditional floor plan knowing that this would be used primarily as a couples retreat. You can literally be soaking in the tub and watching TV by the fire while your significant other is preparing a meal in the kitchen all in the same space. We find the layout very romantic and unlike anything else out there. There is also a large hot tub avalible for our guests near the main house. You are welcome to use this hot tub anytime if you don't mind it being by the main home. Free Wifi. No cable TV but we supply Netflix on the hi-speed guest network. Guests will have free parking in our large circular driveway suitable for cars, trucks, or even RVs under 31ft.

Lawnacres is a 20 acre farm that focuses on enhancing wellbeing through the presence of horses and nature. The Bunky itself is a converted horse stall in one of the barns on the property. The glamping space is approximately 10x12, with a queen size log bed and wide rustic cedar plank flooring. The “stall” to the north houses an outdoor shower and sauna. It’s about a 30 foot walk to the outhouse. The stalls to the south are usually used by horses during the day, but they sleep in a different barn at night. We are a recycle family so please use our recycle bins, but you must take out your own garbage when you leave. We will provide you with two large garbage bags. We ask that you remove your shoes while in yurts. Animals are welcome and they can be inside the yurts, but NOT on furniture/beds. The nearly level trail meanders through the valley, rewarding visitors with picturesque, landscape views of forests, farmland, streams and rivers, and mountain vistas. Sites have a generous fire pit and access to a Porta-Potty. For bathing I recommend cool dip in the Stillaguamish River. In season there is also fishing, snowshoeing, concerts at the blue grass festival grounds, a rodeo, and so much more.

Bunky Barn was a pleasant surprise! Alison was a kind and generous host who provided everything we needed to be comfortable in the barn. My partner and I rode our bikes there and felt very safe. Communication was great! Dave was kind enough to provide extra firewood upon request for a very reasonable price. The A frame was clean and everything inside worked as intended. Easy to get to location, and the directions provided were easy to follow. Beautiful location and plenty of trails to explore on the property. If I ever get the chance I’d love to come back!

Beautiful space, very private. We could hear the creek from the camping spot and really enjoyed the many trails around the property. Host was attentive but not intrusive. Would definitely recommend it to others.

The cabin site couldn't have been more perfect! Very private, surrounded by trees giving the site good shade. You get to listen to the sound of the creek nearby. Cabin provided the bare necessities. Everything about the site is thoughtfully done. Plenty of space for a group to camp. Easy to find, and host is very responsive.

My stay at Alison’s was serene, peaceful, and exactly what I needed. I was looking for a place to decompress, find inspiration, and get some work done, and this exceeded my expectations. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by the smell of freshly cut grass, hay, and the farm. Two adorable miniature donkeys welcomed me, and I quickly found myself captivated by the beautiful horses grazing nearby. The setting felt calming and restorative from the moment I arrived. The barn room was unique, private, and full of character. It was the perfect place to work and create. Sitting at the desk while watching horses graze just outside was such a special experience. The showers were wonderful, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. I was a little concerned it might get chilly at night since part of one wall is screened to the outdoors, but the comforter was so thick and cozy that I slept soundly. It was also surprisingly quiet at night. The only thing to note is that there is no sink in the room, though it wasn’t an issue for me as I simply washed my hands in the shower. There is also an outhouse around the corner. As someone who is a bit of a germaphobe, I would have preferred an indoor bathroom, but that was really my only minor drawback. Overall, I loved this getaway and would absolutely stay here again. It’s a wonderful retreat for anyone looking to relax, recharge, and enjoy a unique farm experience.

2 nights at North Stilly River Yurt

A perfect escape! We needed a place in the woods (where everything makes sense), a place our dogs could run free & swim without worry, a place where we could relax off-grid, cook steak outside, explore with find the smoothest river rocks, breathe deeply amongst the trees, find the coolest huge snails with the kids, and sleep in a yurt (our first time!). It nicely fit everyone, too (2 adults, 2 preteen/teen kids, 2 big dogs). That was important because both nights we stayed was torrential downpour with thunderstorms! It was quite the memorable experience! When we were down to our last dry clothes, we stayed in, played board games, and read books. The sun came out the day we left and a heatwave followed. This place can handle both, I'm sure. We will be back!

Super cute accommodations! We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely timely home. We had some minor issues (wrong door code sent, tv didn’t work, etc.) but the hosts were quick to respond and remedy the situation. Loved everything (except the 10 am check out - too early, especially with a 4 pm check in).

Weekend Trip to Simple Roots Ranch

Dave and Sharon’s space was so serene and lovely. We arrived late in the evening and Dave came out to greet us and show us the space and brought some firewood over for us to enjoy our dinner around the fire. We loved the gardens, abundance of trees and flowers and spent most of our time outside bird watching and playing with their dogs. It was a wonderful experience and we would stay here again. You can tell the hosts put a lot of thought and effort into making the space enjoyable!

Weekend Trip to Grace E.’s Mini Forest Cabins

Grace's property was gorgeous and Grace herself was helpful and welcoming. You can really tell how much effort and thought was put into this hip camp. The property was fully fenced, the roads and trails were easy to navigate, each cabin seemed incredibly private and professionally done. We were in cabin 3 on a cold and rainy night and appreciated the fireplace inside and the covered deck that still allowed us to eat outside and enjoy the ambience. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful cabin. Live edge everything. Amazing view of Whitehorse Mountain. The host is very nice. The water has a strong sulphur smell and it's very soft, but she provides a big filter thingie.

My stay was wonderful and I would definitely come back again. It was peaceful, beautiful, and a very unique spot. The entire farm was welcoming, the bed was warm and cozy even in colder temps, the sauna was incredible and the animals were a delight. 10/10
