Camping at Ross Lake gives new meaning to “getting off the grid”. Tucked deep in the North Cascades of Washington, this reservoir isn’t accessible by car (on the U.S. side, anyway). You can hike in —or, paddle from Diablo Lake up Riprap Creek and portage your boat overland to Ross Lake.

The flowing Stilly has blessed us with a very large sand bar on our side of the river which has an abundance of flat, soft sand to pitch more tents on, and also build castles in for the littles. Lastly, don't forget to catch the fantastic view of White Horse Mountain from the two seats that overlook the river! Catch it during the day or during the night with the moon in front of the mountain. You will never forget it! This is an off-grid property. Please bring your own drinking water. We have an outhouse on sight. The yurt has an audio system with CDs if you so choose to bring in your own portable battery. We hope you enjoy this forested river land!

Here you will find a barbecue and outdoor propane griddle to create your favourite meals. Sit and enjoy the views of the river at your balcony railing bar or relax in your lounge chairs. Afterwards sit around the campfire and roast marshmallows while sitting next to the river. We include firewood. Guests can share a fully functional outdoor washroom facility featuring a compostable toilet and an outdoor low flow shower. As a gift we provide naturally handcrafted locally made soap, eco friendly shampoos and conditioners. Towels and washcloths are provided. Teepee #2This teepee is a more rustic adventure and features accommodation for 2 with access to the shared washroom. Outside you will find a picnic table and a tabletop barbecue. Quality bedding is provided as well as towels and washcloths and naturally handcrafted soap. This teepee is also decorated with local indigenous decor. This teepee has no power or water. Potable Water is available in the washroom. Battery powered LED lanterns are provided for you. Adventure is at your doorstep with activities such as river rafting, gold panning, hiking, swimming at nearby beaches and the best fishing in Canada. We had an amazing stay at Michael’s place! The cabin and the bathroom were super clean and well maintained, which made our stay very comfortable. The whole property is peaceful, surrounded by beautiful nature, and you can really feel the care and love put into every detail. Michael was such a kind and helpful host — friendly, responsive, and always making sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting by the fire at night, watching the stars, and just relaxing in the quiet atmosphere. It was the perfect getaway from the city, and we’ll definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

I loved the cabin and its energy. It is even more beautiful in pictures than in person. The host was very friendly and her dogs and cats were cute and ready to be pet. The landscape looks like a postal card. Strongly recommended!

This was a pretty great little spot. The cabin is small, but it had a good setup with a hotplate, sink, fridge, & microwave. There was a big very comfortable mattress in the loft. The bathroom wasn’t too far away across the parking area and it was well maintained, with a flush toilet and a sink. Everything during my stay was very clean. I walked down to the lake, and it was about 10 minutes on a nice trail through the woods which meets up with the main road just before the lake. Property has a horse, goats and other animals. It’s quite a nice place, the host was very friendly and I will definitely be back in the summer.

Weekend Trip to Lil Bit O' Heaven Camping

What a cool experience! The Dome was comfortable and unlike anywhere I have ever stayed before. Definitely did not get cold with the thoughtful amenities: space heaters and blankets. There is firewood available for purchase and the bathrooms are a luxury! The only thing I’d be aware of is that you may not have service upon arrival, so you may not be able to contact Zachary thru the app. There is a code to get into the dome that I didn’t have directly, but luckily we were able to figure it out. Overall, I definitely recommend staying in the galaxy dome!

This arctic dome was such a cool find while hiking in the North Cascades! It had snowed on us on a few hikes so we were glad for some warmth. Both the dome and the restrooms were clean and nice. The bed was comfortable. I did have to bring all of my blankets in because I couldn’t figure out the second heater (skill issue)! There are nice campsites down the trail overlooking the river and they’re really cute for groups! I love how close this was to town for snacks, too.

This is a beautiful spot and a great base for visiting the national park! The indoor and outdoor amenities were great - we appreciated the snacks, ample resources for cooking, and many options for getting warm (2 electric heaters, hot tub, wood fire stove, and outdoor fire pit). You can see the small road from the dome and hear a bit of highway noise, so it's not fully isolated, but that also makes it quick to get back onto the road to head to the trailhead (it took us about 1 hour to get to the Maple Pass Loop). We also checked out the Barr Creek conservation area about 0.25 miles up the road, which has a very pretty little loop trail.

It's a really great place. The host was also very kind, and the atmosphere of the harmonious family was particularly nice. The glamping site has everything, and the shower and toilets, which were of great concern, were really clean. The glamping site was full of romance and the host was kind. The disadvantage is that the network doesn't work, but it's slow because there's Wi-Fi, but Internet access is possible. The bathroom is clean and the glamping site I thought was to sleep in a poor environment for a day, but this place was so nice! +) It's a pity that I couldn't say hello to three pugs in the morning. Django, Theodore, Zeus Bye Bye:)

Michele has a kind heart and her animals are as sweet as pea. Very relaxing. Plenty of wildlife activity to watch on the river (bears, jumping sturgeon, osprey carrying fish). And it’s a short drive into Hope from the cabin.
