This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. NO TENTS, please. Also we have NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes.
There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm.
Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 12 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm.
The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail.
There is an ART GALLERY where you can see the host's artwork and purchase a piece if you wish. Originals and prints are both available. This is upstairs through the check-in entry area lobby. Tilton River Studio Gallery.
Three sites have electrical hookups. Every site has a water spigot (use a pressure regulator if you want to hook up). No restrooms or sewer hookups. Garbage disposal site (dumpster) available Memorial Day to Labor Day.

There is talk about sites at the river, we have some in their premature stage. This is NOT offered through our Hip Camp site!!!!! There are reasons for this: When we initially opened, we allowed people to camp there through Hip Camp and I was getting low stars ratings because Entitled people thought for $28 bucks, they got the whole river to themselves and would fight with other campers. IT JUST GOT TO EXHAUSTING. In the coming years I’m going to try to set up some premium sites on the river and work super hard at getting amenities that will match that price. But for now, Enjoy Camp Hope and the river ACCESS too!! We appreciate the wonderful feedback everyone gives it helps us grow with you!!

Dogs were very friendly and Kristy let us use a propane fire-pit to provide warmth and a fire for our tent site. The bathrooms were clean and there was some water by our site, but we did not use it.
The camp, for the tent site… we arrived and she drove us all over her property and told us to just choose where we wanted to camp. We chose to stay in back of the horse area. While we could see the house from there, we didn’t care and if you want to move back in the woods further, there are spots back there too that would provide more privacy if you need that. This is a great site and a one of a kind experience being that close to the horses."

We love staying here! The full hookup sites are well maintained. Host is responsive....good communication, directions and instructions. Easy to get to and with the exception of site #5, sites are right at the beach! Site 5 (the largest and most private) does have close, easy access to the beach and a lovely knoll of its own to sit at and enjoy the sunsets.

We just finished up our second stay here. We like the location, the scenery and the full hookups. It's located nicely for great day outings as well. Easy access to the beach is a plus for me. We brought our kids and grandkids this year and they enjoyed it as well. Host is very responsive. Directions and instructions are clear and comprehensive. Sites 1-4 are pretty close together with little privacy, but you're oriented toward the beach so that's where you're focus is. Our neighbors have been congenial. We will be back, for sure.

We made this last-minute reservation to escape the wildfire smoke, and we’re so glad we did! The location was perfect for sightseeing in the area, and we even took the ferry over to Seattle.
This Hipcamp was perfect for our three-night stay. Our site was level, there was a nice grassy area between the sites and a table with two chairs, and having full hookups was a huge plus. We had plenty of room to back in our 36-foot Class A motorhome and still park our Jeep next to it.
The owners were friendly, helpful, and available whenever we had a question. The entire property was very clean, peaceful, and quiet. One of our favorite things was watching the deer that came to visit every day!
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again if we’re ever back in the area. Highly recommend, especially for fellow RV travelers!

Stayed at Site 5. It was spacious, private, and with a great view. A short path near the campsite leads right to the beach. Shelby was super responsive too, quick to answer all our questions before we booked and easy to reach when we were there. Highly recommend!

Barb & Terry were such lovely hosts! Barb greeted us at check-in, and we got to see (and purchase!) her beautiful art. We also were able to purchase some of Terry’s honey. The property was perfect - so lush and so private. We walked to the swimming hole for a quick dip before settling into our nook. It was so quiet and peaceful. We are already excited to go back!

Everything was clean and beautiful and well maintained. The signage was great and easy to read and find your spot. Being surrounded by thousands of Christmas trees and summer is pretty cool. Hosts we're communicative and really nice.

We had the best time in spot #5 ! Great view and easy beach access! The full hookups and great area to go exploring with our 2 dogs was just what we were looking for. ! We were in a 36’ class A towing a car and had plenty of room.

We had a great time camping with our large group. It was super convenient with the kids that the beach was so close! Our group had reserved 3 of the sites (though one had to cancel last second), and it was perfect. However, I could imagine it would be pretty cramped if even just our family of 4 had only one site.

We enjoyed our stay at peaceful Olympic peninsula rv camp. We were greeted by the host, who was very friendly, and welcoming. The spot we reserved was quaint and had full hookups, and a grassy area with a picnic table. We loved the wild life. There were rabbits, squirrels and deer. We definitely would stay here again.

This was a wonderful, spacious, and peaceful site. We were free to wander the grounds and take in the sights on the farm—the ponds, the blackberry grove, and others, as well as the abundant wildlife.

This was our second time staying at the Blue Site at The Arboretum at Bear Canyon West, and it was every bit as enjoyable as our first visit. The grounds are beautifully maintained, the scenery is absolutely stunning, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it easy to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
The hosts were fantastic as always—friendly, welcoming, and clearly dedicated to providing a great experience for their guests. It's obvious they take pride in the property, and it shows throughout the campground.
Our family had another wonderful camping trip, and this location is quickly becoming one of our favorite camping destinations. We look forward to coming back again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful place to camp.

The Arboretum at Bear Canyon West delivers an unmatched, peaceful escape. Hosts Barb and her husband go out of their way to make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive.
Nestled among tall trees that afford superb privacy, each of the 11 lush, grass-covered sites can comfortably fit three to five rigs depending on lot size. Having a dedicated fresh water fill-up at every single site is a rare luxury for boondocking. Between the stunning hillside scenery and a wide-open field perfect for frisbee golf, wiffle ball, and lawn games, this spot offers the ultimate relaxing getaway. Highly recommended for any self-contained setup!

This was an amazing stay at this Hipcamp! Cindy and Bob were wonderful hosts—welcoming, personable, and friendly throughout our visit. Their beautiful property is well-maintained and provides a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere.
Access to the property was easy, and there was plenty of room to maneuver and park my 35-foot fifth wheel. My campsite was quaint, well-groomed, and offered the perfect balance of comfort and privacy.
One of the highlights of our stay was being greeted each morning and evening by a resident deer and her fawns. A tip for future guests: bring a few fresh apples to share. If you keep pets quiet and remain calm and non-threatening, the deer may wander right up to your site. We enjoyed watching them while tossing out a few cut-up apple slices.
I highly recommend this location, whether you're looking for a convenient home base to explore the area or simply seeking a quiet escape to relax and unwind.

We stayed at site 5, which is the pull-through and a little more private than the others. It's easy to get to and out of. Pad is pretty level which helps a lot. There is some noise from the Hwy, but not terrible. We found it a great location, as Westport is close by and Ocean Shores was an hour away. We left our travel trailer there and felt very safe.
