This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. No tents, please. Also we have NO public restrooms. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes. There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm. Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 10 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm. The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail. There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! Weekend Trip to Misty Meadows Adventures Mt.Rainier

This was our second time staying at Steve and Starla’s campsite! The property is spacious and well kept, also close to the Mt. Rainier park entrance. Although the weather this time was not ideal, our group had a great time during our trip. Thank you to Steve for suggesting site 2 which is a little higher ground and surrounded by trees to keep us a little drier during our stay. The hosts were able to answer any questions we had in a timely manner. Overall I would highly recommend this campsite. Thank you again for hosting us and wish you well in the future!

Weekend Trip to The Khohay Farm

Staying at the Sweetheart Cabin was the PERFECT autumn weekend getaway! It was stormy and rainy outside a lot of the time, but that just made the cozy cabin even better with the wood stove, string lights, candles, and blankets. The cabin as well as communal spaces were clean and everyone was so kind. They said that the number one rule was that we felt at-home :) Thank you so so much Jenel and Khohay, my partner and I had a beautiful time at your farm <3

As a first-time solo camper (and female), I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Kendall was so kind and helpful, which immediately put me at ease. Weekend Trip to Bee Inspired Garden

Kay was out of town while we stayed here but her sister Liz rolled out the red carpet for us! Fresh flowers, warm cookies, firewood, veggies from the garden, and of course the gift of time to show us around the beautiful property! The kids loved feeding the chickens, frolicking in the garden, and tasting the sweet honey from the bees! The site was clean and level and never had bees near us. The views of the mountains and gardens were breathtaking and can be seen right from the site. We brought our telescope and had great views of the full moon, stars, and even several planets. It was very quiet and peaceful. Perfect little weekend getaway. We will definitely be coming back again! Would recommend for sure

Weekend Trip to The Khohay Farm

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Sweetheart Cabin for a night during our first trip to rainier and it was excellent! Khohay was super friendly and talkative and an amazing host. The cabin was super comfortable and cozy. We heard elk at night too which was super cool! Definitely recommend for anyone trying to escape the city and explore Rainier and the surrounding nature.

Kendall was very kind and considerate, he showed us around the property when we got there, and he let us (two teenage girls) know when other guests booked the camp. The space was very pretty and quiet. Close to the park! Would definitely recommend Kendall and his campsite.

Weekend Trip to Two Frog Bog

We enjoyed our stay in the yurt! Plenty of bedding, towels, utensils for cooking and eating. No baking sheet, we used aluminum foil instead with no issue. Beautiful property, wonderful hosts. Will be back!

1 night at Two Frog Bog

Great little stay. Camp is equipped with a covered outdoor kitchen with potable water faucet from a well, and grill, utensils, plates, etc. The actual tent site I stayed at was great too, there are two comfortable sleeping pads in the tent. Would recommend using again.

1 night at The Arboretum at Bear Canyon West

This will be an odd review because I have not been to the site yet. I made a reservation for earlier in September but then had difficulty getting my van back from an up fitter. I could not make my previously paid for reservation, but Barb has been absolutely terrific!! I stayed in touch with her and let her know what my troubles were and she has been an angel. I will be getting there within the next three days, Lord willing, and I am certain beyond any doubt that my stay there will be extra extraordinary. These are class ass people. Not nearly enough of them to go around. Wm. Snyder

It was exactly as described and able to accommodate our 28’ travel trailer. The setting is quiet and private and worked well for our exploring around Mt Rainier.

Natural beauty and park like beauty all on the same property.

Weekend Trip to The Arboretum at Bear Canyon West

Barb and Terry's property is becoming a home away from home for us, our family, and dear friends. We finally toured Barb's art studio this visit and we were blown away by her talent and the history she's shared. If you get the chance please check it out and try to find time to talk with Barb.
