Come stay in my cozy cool cabin at the base of Mt Adams in Trout Lake, WA. Cabin has one Queen bed and a fold out camping style cot under the bed. Max capacity 2 adults and 2 children.
What makes this cabin cool? Well, it is a retired DNR fire watch cabin! The cabin is as original as can be! Equipped with battery operated and solar lights along with propane heat! Porta potty right next to it for your use! There is a full bathroom and amenities to include fridge, microwave, coffee pot and air fryer just a short walk away! Dishes are not included and cooking utensils are very limited.
Winter sports galore up here right now! Cross country skiing, snow shoeing, ample parking for snow mobile trailers! OR bring your favorite book and come enjoy a peaceful restful weekend!
Springtime is a gorgeous time of year up here and turkey season is a favorite! Ample room for boats/trailers if you are considering hitting Drano lake for some springer salmon fishing! It is apx 30 minutes away.
In the summertime come up and enjoy the hiking! Sleeping Beauty trail is just a few minutes away and you are within 30 minutes or Hood River if you are looking to explore and check out wineries. There are cheese caves, ice caves, Goose Lake, Council Lake and so much more!
Fall is one of my favorite seasons! Hood River fishery has been amazing and the fall colors can't be beat!
There is a fire pit and campfires are welcome when there is not a burn ban.
Trout Lake Inn is a local favorite up here and check their Facebook to see what live entertainment they have coming up.
Pets are welcome - please make sure they are well behaved and are kept close to the cabin. I do have my own friendly dogs (Ruby and Muskett) on the property, but they do not have access to the cabin area.

The cabin was incredibly cozy. Even though it was below freezing outside for most of our trip the heater and blankets kept us super warm inside. Waking up to the cows and the mountains always felt amazing, and at night if the sky was clear so many stars were visible.

If being off grid isnt your cup of tea then this cabin probably isnt for you but we love it. One of our favoright things about staying here is that there is very little to no cell service and wifi only if you want to hook up to it. We love being off grid and having quality family time to interact with eachother with out the distractions of cell phones or tv. No power no problem for us! This is our favoright family get away spot by far.

Absolutely stunning place to stay with tons to do close by. The cabin is extremely cozy and the place is completely secluded. We felt like we were the only ones there. The cabin and the bathroom/kitchen area was clean and stocked with the essentials (plates, fridge/freezer, shower, portable generator for the cabin, lamps, bbq and more). We caught a thunder storm on the last night of our stay and it was so relaxing. We’re excited to come back in the winter when it is snowing.

This adorable cabin was perfect for our romantic 33rd anniversary weekend of hiking and huckleberry picking. The bed is soft and comfortable, the cabin is rustic but homey. Comfortable chairs outside and a propane grill that saved us from having to pack our own. There a shower, bathroom and fridge about 25 yards away. A coffee maker, microwave and air fryer are there to use if you want to eat dinner in. Trout Lake is one of our favorite places to visit - we've been coming up every huckleberry season for the past 20 years -- now we have a new favorite place to stay!

What a beautiful place for our family’s first night stay on our Pacific Northwest road trip! My husband, four year old daughter and I were amazed at the breathtaking scenery and perfectly comfortable in this tiny cabin. We arrived late afternoon early August, and the cabin was warm inside but cooled off nicely with the windows open at night. The bathroom and mini kitchen had everything we needed and were just a short walk away. We enjoyed good food and music at Trout Lake Hall, and the stargazing at night was unbelievable. What a special memory for our family. Thank you for sharing this piece of paradise with us, Amy! Our only regret is not staying longer!!

Such a beautiful and cozy spot tucked into the mountain. We had gorgeous weather and were lucky enough to enjoy some of the lakes, rivers, and hikes in the area. I can't think of a better way we could have spent our anniversary. We will definitely be coming back!

Weekend Trip to The Village at Rainier
We stayed here last summer and loved it just as much! The location is perfect- very quiet and well kept. Rainier can be so challenging in the summer and staying in Ashford gave us an easy, well rested early start. Seriously- we entered the park a little after 7am and the lot at Paradise was almost full. Getting up on the trails with less crowds and before the heat of the day is a game changer.
We love the cabin and the hot tub. Stay here— you won’t regret it!

The Beaver cabin was adorable, clean, simple and just what we needed! My ten year old was delighted by the loft beds, I loved the swing and the hot tub and fire pit made the place far more than just a place to sleep for the night. A magical little cabin hidden in the woods like something out of an indie film.
Everything was clean, warm, and thoughtfully arranged — from the cozy bed to the perfect grill. The view? Unreal. You open the door and it feels like stepping into a peaceful painting. Quiet, authentic, slightly surreal.
I didn’t figure out the electricity switch, but honestly, I didn’t need it — the atmosphere itself had enough energy.
This place has soul. 10 out of 10.
Would’ve stayed longer if Oregon wasn’t calling me further west.

We loved our stay at Amy’s Trout Lake cabin. It was the perfect spot to spend a couple nights while we explored the area. So cute and clean! Having access to kitchen appliances and a full bathroom located in the back of their shop was a great addition. Amy’s messages and directions were detailed and included everything. Tried the pizza in town and the White Salmon Baking Co. for breakfast. Both were delicious!! Great location to stay at if you are white water rafting/kayaking on the White Salmon. Can’t wait to come back to the area! Thank you for providing such a wonderful lodging option.

Amy is a 10 star host! My daughter and I had a wonderful weekend at Amy's cabin. Amy has created a charming cabin in a lovely serene setting on her property. The bed was oh so comfortable and warm cozy blankets were available for the cool of the summer mountain evening! The amenities were great with a shower (A+water pressure), indoor flush toilet, coffee maker, and frig/freezer. Amy, Thank you for preserving a small piece of the past with this little cabin and sharing it with us!

A very comfortable stay, with thoughtful amenities provided. A hot shower, fridge, and bathroom are provided in a separate building close to the cabin.
We tried Mt. Adam’s pizza and loved it!We paid for wood and it was provided. Water is available, bring a water jug to fill up.
Amy, the host answered any questions we had. The WiFi is pretty spotty, but there is service closer to the bathroom.
The view of Mt. Adam’s is spectacular!
