This small 25-acre ranch is just in the early stages of development. We are repairing fences and watering. I just added solar power and several electrical upgrades for RV's. The property has a 2000 feet of grass runway with an airplane hangar, so you could fly it if you have a STOHL airplane. The irrigation pond/pond yard area is currently available for camping. Many wineries, brewies and outdoor activities available in the area. Children can help feed or water the pigs and perhaps the chickens. Be aware though when piglets are around at times they are very small and are amazing escaped artists so do not keep food out unless you want to try and pet one they are friendly. We are more than happy to help suggest wineries and brewies in the area or enjoy the bar area we have! We offer several campsites as well as an in-ground greenhouse as listings. Once done my grandma sold tickets to the tourist and my grandpa ran the engine around the 7 acre oval track pulling a train car full of happy tourist through the woods over the train bridge and past the big water tower back to their vehicles so they could finish their journies with a drive to Mt. We stayed here while visiting Rainier. Location was perfect, instructions easy to follow. Power and water easy to use with our RV. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Rainier

Weekend Trip to Heron's Rookery at Yakima River

We loved our stay at the Rookery! The site is quiet and peaceful, despite having neighbors nearby. We didn't see or hear anything from the adjacent properties, and felt like we were in the middle of nowhere by ourselves. The river and surrounding hills are BEAUTIFUL! Full hookups make it a breeze to stay here, as did the easy in-easy out with our 23 ft. trailer.

Our second time here: ,one time we’re by the lovely big pond., complete with waterfowl; and this time we've enjoyed a remote spot in the grassy field. A beautiful rural location. Quiet and peaceful. And they’ve added a new toilet n washing station. Piglets were adoring!

The property was easy to get to and the lot itself was accommodating, Allowing plenty of room to spread out. It was perfectly shaded and the river access was great. If your into fishing, the cutthroat trout were fun to catch!

We had a lovely time at Aron’s campsite, it was just what we needed after a long day of travel. Comfortable and peaceful environment, easy to find and quiet. We particularly enjoyed the sunrise in the front yard amongst the tall trees. We were just passing through but the town of Packwood and the surrounding nature were all beautiful, would love to come back again
