This is Packwood at its finest! This exclusive RV parking spot is situated on an acre property! This property is nature’s “gem” for those who love the outdoors & wish to be part of what nature has to offer. This RV spot is equipped with a 20, 30 and 50 amp receptacle, with full access to water and septic. The daily rate is for full hookup for your trailer or RV; charging your electric vehicle is prohibited. You can find two EV charging stations in town at the 76 Gas Station. You will also have access to free wi-fi. As there are NO bathroom facilities on the property, NO TENT camping is allowed. We have hidden some fun painted rocks for your kids to find, but please be courteous and leave some behind for other kids as well! Rocks and any decor that are in the garden area are not for taking. This RV spot is located just minutes from town, where you can enjoy unique restaurants, breweries, and shopping. There are numerous year-round recreational activities including hiking, boating, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, hunting, and fishing. This location is just 30 minutes from White Pass Ski Area and 25 minutes from the Stevens Canyon Entrance to Mount Rainier National Park. Note: Be sure to visit www.VisitRainier.com prior to arriving if you plan to visit Mt. Rainier! ATTENTION: In the event this site is booked, please message me for a possible opening, in the event there has been a cancellation. Booking this site is for "one camper" only. IMPORTANT: 1) Please let us know if you are bringing pets! 2) No arrivals/check-ins past 9pm. 3) Quiet hours are between 10pm to 7am 4) Do not let your dog pee on the grass next to the shed. 5) Absolutely no river access after dark. ★ CHECK IN/CHECK OUT ★ Check-in time is at or after 3pm and check-out time is 12pm. Butter Creek is an awesome place. Nice and level and the site is right next to the creek. The sound is so relaxing. The drive to downtown Packwood is minutes away with some really great places to eat. Tons of hiking all around. You won’t be disappointed staying here. Shelley is extremely attentive and easy to communicate with.

Such and amazing spot. Beautiful property with full hookups. Nice creek with access that we loved sitting next to and listening to from the campsite. The set up is perfect. Easy in and out from the highway and 5min from the town of Packwood. The owners are amazing people and absolutely made our stay perfect. We would definitely stay again if in the area. Such and awesome experience, wish we could have stayed longer.

Butter Creek Camping was such a beautiful and relaxing place to stay! The sound of the creek was so peaceful! The grounds are clean and look exactly like the pictures. We really enjoyed the views. The RV spot is in the perfect location and only minutes from town. While we were there The Packwood Flea Market spanning over a mile long was going on. We had issues with our RV and unfortunately had to leave early and we were so disappointed! Shelly and Joe are the best hosts!!! They are SO friendly and communication was great and we wanted for nothing! We felt so lucky they shared their time and beautiful property with us! We will be back and look forward to seeing them soon!

These sites are amazing! Clean, level and right next to the creek. Close proximity to town and an easy drive to White Pass. The owners were there to greet, help and answer our questions. Very responsive through Hipcamp messaging. Definitely plan on staying here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Butter Creek. Shelly and her husband met us upon arrival and provided all the information we needed to get settled. The setting was wonderful: next to the Creek that we could see and hear, surrounded by trees, and a fire pit to enjoy a fire at the end of the day.

This is the 2nd time we stayed at Shelly's. We love the sound of the stream and its lush forest behind their land. Shelly is always the nicest host, super fast in answering questions. We will come back again Shelly! Thank you very much for hosting us and our little RV!

We loved the trailer site right beside the Butter Creek. The sound of babbling creek was incredibly soothing. Shelly came out to meet us and get us situated, Joe was there when we had a question. We left daily to go to the national park and felt secure in leaving everything. Shelly provided great laundry facilities on the last day and we took chairs and lunch down to the creek. It is full sun but with full hookup we were not uncomfortable. Wonderful hosts and location!

We loved Butter Creek Retreat! Joe was super friendly and welcoming. The site is right in the creek with easy access to the water via nice steps. There’s a nice mossy trail to walk through the woods right next to the site. Full hookups are super & worked without a hitch. We’ll definitely be back to Butter Creek Retreat!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this quiet spot on the creek in Packwood! The location is serene and peaceful, perfect for relaxing, enjoying nature, and unwinding from the hustle and bustle. Joe and Shelly were exceptional hosts—always friendly, responsive, and thoughtful. They made sure we had everything we needed, checked in just enough to be helpful without ever being intrusive, and their kindness truly made us feel welcome. The space was exactly as described, and it felt like a true retreat. We loved spending time by the creek and soaking in the peaceful surroundings. We’re already looking forward to our next visit and would highly recommend this spot to anyone seeking a calm and beautiful getaway.

Immaculate, everything thought of. Great location on the outskirts of town but still only 5 minutes away. Quiet area with a creek which is awesome and private with many areas to sit and enjoy. Very easy access to the property and RV sites, full hookups in great working condition. Kelly and her husband were just plain nice and pleasant folks to top it off!

Location, while feeling far away, town is convenient. The property is immaculate and the RV spot is prime! Full hook ups, great internet and steps away from your own private beach at the creek. Quiet except for the creek which sounds better than any sound machine could make. Shelly and her husband were fantastic with great communication, knowledge of the area and activities and just plain nice folks. This is the only one of the 10 or so places I've stayed recently that I stayed for my full reservation, and extended.

This place is truly amazing. Everything here is exceptionally maintained from the hookups, the lighting, the level gravel parking, the stairs and paths. We loved having the creek right there and we slept so good to the sound of it. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. We can’t wait for a return visit!

Great quiet site with wonderful hosts. The site has stairs down to the creek which was a huge plus for us, we played in it most of the time! And if you follow the creek a bit north you can find a great swimming hole! So peaceful, can’t wait to visit again!

The response to questions or concerns were prompt and made the decision to book easy. The area is spacious and easy to maneuver larger RV's/trailers. It is well maintained and easy for parking and leveling. The hosts are friendly, accommodating and have recommendations for area activities and eating. If you need a starting point for the area of Mt Rainier, St Helens, hiking and any other outdoor activities, this is the perfect spot. The peaceful, quietness in the trees with the creek is amazing and access is just steps away to enjoy! We enjoyed our stay and time and plan to come back again.

This was one of the best Hipcamps we’ve ever stayed at! The property is incredibly well maintained and everything felt clean, peaceful, and pristine. The location is amazing, just a short drive to Mt. Rainier National Park. We loved camping right next to the creek and dipping our feet in the cool water after long hikes. Shelly and Tom were such kind and thoughtful hosts. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everything we could need was available. You can tell they put a lot of heart into this place. Highly recommend!

My husband and I brought our dog, Echo, on a 4th of July camping trip to get away. Any fireworks that went off that weekend were so far away that it didn’t bother our pup too much. The spot we had was so perfect! It was very clean and relaxing. Joe and Shelly were super nice and welcoming. Gave us great tips for eating and hiking, and they’re great dog people. We have already talked about making this a regular stop.

Great site! Hosts were friendly and nice. They live onsite next to an air bnb they also rent out. Open campsite with lots of space. Clean spot. Easy stair access down to Butter Creek. We enjoyed playing by it and relaxing in our chairs in it. Cool wooded area to walk around right next to the site. Skate Creek was fun nearby, airstream ice cream and Packwood brewing are all kid friendly and close by options. About 45-1 hour drive to paradise/ Mr. Rainer.

Best RV Hipcamp we've been to!! Hosts were amazingly responsive, very friendly, and super helpful. Wish we lived closer so we could stay here more often! You can tell they've gone over and above to make a welcoming, comfortable area, complete with full RV hookups, nature trails, forest backdrop and a perfect nature's soundtrack compliments of the adjacent Butter Creek.

Beautiful location on Butter Creek (which the doggos absolutely loved!). We really enjoyed talking to our hosts who made some great suggestions to us! It was easy to navigate to the site with our 29' travel trailer. There is a market, gas station, and restaurants nearby. Mt Rainier NP is very close (main reason for our stay) and the Cowlick river (glacier runoff) was only a couple miles away (dogs also loved that).

Idyllic, peaceful setting on the creek. A place to let the dogs play. The grounds are immaculately kept. Grocery store near by. Guided fishing trip near by was a blast! And, Shelly & Joe could not be nicer!! We will plan a trip just to come back to this divine campsite!

A beautiful river front property with the most gracious hosts! We love Packwood and we’re thrilled to find this gem. The location is just minutes from town and hiking. Such attention to detail has been put into making this a great space for campers and the river is literally steps away. Joe and Shelly were delightful and really made our weekend away to celebrate my husbands birthday relaxing and enjoyable. We will be back

Easy RV Camping along Butter Creek!

Open, level and peaceful spot up the bank of Butter Creek. Large, gravel lot with full RV hookups. There is a little path at the creek side from one end of the lot to the other and easy stairs back up to the parking pad. Lots of options for nature walks and hiking nearby, and a short 30 minute drive to White Pass for skiing when in season. The hosts are super friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We had a great time!
