Hawks Landing- a great little spot!

Hawks landing was a great little place to stay. Right off the road with easy access to Ashford and Skate Creek road.
The pull in was a little hard to find in the dark.
Once we located and backed to the spot the ambiance and lights were just the right touch.

Very nice. Was in a neighborhood but felt very secluded. Was really hard to find at night but that’s our fault for driving in the dark. Nice outdoor lights and table.

The site was an easily accessible back in lot off a road in a cute little neighborhood. The lot itself was spacious, clean and welcoming.
A patio area was set up with chairs, picnic table, fire pit(which we were not able to use because of dry conditions) and lights. Very enjoyable!

This campsite is a wonderful stay. The location is right down the road from the Nisqually entrance for seeing Mt Rainer. This is a very quiet area so you can get a good night sleep before seeing the park. There is electric, water and trash. The entrance for the site is large. We are 63 ft and backed our travel trailer and tow vehicle into the fully graveled site from the road. There is also a privacy fence for the site with nice mood lighting at night. We stayed 2 nights. Just wonderful!

Amazing location to explore Rainier for a few days!!! So close to the entrance and a few local establishments. Met Kent briefly upon our arrival and after that - super private and so quiet. Level, ample space. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay at our camp site. It was an easy distance to the Mt Rainier entrance and easy to park our RV. Our hosts were attentive and helpful when I had questions.
If the fire ban hadn’t been in effect, the fire pit and provided chairs would be so cozy! We really appreciated the seating both with the chairs and the picnic table. The outdoor lights made it so festive! And there’s a local doe and her baby that visited! So fun!
None of the following things would prevent us from visiting again! We would totally come back!!
Things to note about this location (our stay was Aug 2025):
-The main road goes right next to the site and there are many cars that go by very fast and it is loud.
-There are many houses and sites around us that were under construction, so it wasn’t super quiet during the day.
-our hosts did apologize for the weeds but we did experience lots of overgrown thistles all around the site.
-as the other reviews stated, spotty wifi… but it’s better to disconnect anyway! 😍

This site was just lovely. It was easy to back in to and surprisingly private, with the exception of a sweet mama deer and her two speckled fawns! We appreciated the location (the steam train in Elbe and Mt. Rainier). The site lights were also charming.

We stayed here while visiting Mount Rainier NP. Everything was as pictured. Very well kept space. We loved how private it felt and the proximity to the NP was wonderful. The host, Kent, was very quick to respond when I had a question. WiFi is available but very finicky. As others mentioned, there was a bit of road noise in the early mornings.

Loved our site @ Hawk’ Haven! Super quiet with plenty of space for our 25’ RV. Just a few minutes away from Mt Rainier National Park! Kent was quick to respond to any questions we had prior to our stay. Would 100% recommend!

We had a great time van camping at Hawks Haven! The space was clean and exactly how it was pictured! We had a very peaceful stay. The WiFi was a little spotty, but the water and electricity were perfect! I’d definitely recommend this spot.

We enjoyed Kents site! It was clean, directions were clear, and the lights were perfect. Although the weather was gloomy we had such a good time we extended a day! He was very responsive which helped our trip run very smoothly! The water and electricity was a big bonus! Definitely reccomend!

We enjoyed our stay at Hawks landing! The host was great at communicating and happy to help with any questions or problems! Which was appreciated. Quiet area and the fire pit and string lights around made it nice to sit out in the evening.

The site had easy access for my 28’ fifth wheel trailer. The water pressure was good. Electric power was strong and steady. Having internet was a plus for me since there was no cell phone service.

This is basically a very private driveway with a sizable sitting area with picnic table, chairs and fire pit. Also has cool little lights at night. Very quiet and very close to the Park entrance.

Really enjoyed Kent's space - it looks just like the photos. Property is clean and well cared for. Picnic table and chairs in good condition. Ample space to hang out and it easily accommodated our 31' trailer and vehicles. Property was easily to locate w Kent's directions, google maps was also accurate. Kent responded promptly to questions prior to and during our stay. Highly recommend.

Great private Rainier campsite

Site is in a quiet subdivision a few minutes from the Nisqually entrance to the Park. A mile or two off the main highway, which is a big plus to the places right on SR 706. Very secluded and private. Clean, level gravel pad, should be mud-free in the wet. New looking picnic table and 4 Adirondack style chairs. No shade midday, so bring a portable shelter or tarp if it is warm. We couldn’t use the fire pit and provided wood because of a burn ban, but would have enjoyed them if we could. Dark skies at night, great for stargazing. Convenient and excellent water and electric hookup. Trash can but no toilet facilities. We emptied our small portable toilet tank daily in a pit toilet in the park. If you RV, there are NO dump stations in the Park at all. Not even at Cougar Rock CG, which used to have one. You either need a big enough holding tank for your stay, or a small one you can hand carry into a pit toilet. No cell service at site on ATT but WiFi works ok. If you need to book night-before timed entry passes from here on recreation.gov, it may be dodgy. But you can get in before 7a from here without too much pain. The Paradise lot is usually full by 8:30 anyway on a weekend, so go early. The entry reservations sell out in about 3 minutes, so a bit iffy even with fast internet. We had a pass one day, and got in before 7 the other, no waiting. When we came out around 3p, the line of cars going in was MILES long. So have a plan to get in early. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing site! Such a great setup. Beautiful string lights all around make it nice and cozy at night. No problem with the electrical and water hookup.
Very private since it is fenced in and there is a beautiful fire pit surrounded by stone and the host was generous enough to provide free wood for us! The picnic table is a strong plastic and in excellent shape.
Amazing location just 8 minutes drive from the Nisqually entrance to Mount Rainier National Park. Highly recommend.
