We do have some sites open for Labor Day this year. What is special here? -- Very large and spacious sites, w/no charges for extra tents and vehicles. -- Distance between sites for privacy. -- Room to accommodate large groups with multiple camp vehicles. -- River views from almost every site. -- "Float the Loop"-A 20-30 min river float without leaving the property. -- Pets off leash as long as they are under control. -- Four beaches that can be accessed by all campers. -- Many paths for walking and bicycling. -- An atmosphere to relax and play like a kid again! Thank you, to all who stayed with us in our first season. We hope you had lots of fun, in spite of the dust. We are now in the process of revamping some of the camping areas to allow for a better camping experience. We have created some new sites and have changed the capacity of others. Many names have changed, so be sure to read the descriptions. The names on the 2023 reviews may be off as well, since we changed some names and moved things around. We are also now have a website: CowlitzRiverRentals.com It is online with basic info. We will be adding more site information soon. Within the site listings here on Hipcamp, I will clearly notate if a site is brand new, or if it has a name/location change for 2024. We had to adjust our check-in/check-out to noon. You are welcome to come to the property early, and stay on the property until early evening to enjoy the river....there are plenty of places to park before you check-in or after you check-out. This is only valid for the days that you are booked. We will have a spigot with potable water available at the gate area. There will be plenty of porta potties spread throughout the property. These are cleaned weekly. This year we will have an option to pack out your own garbage or use our dumpster for $10/bag. Our 2024 season will have 10 Group sites and 15 Individual sites on 70 acres. Our sites are listed as: -Individual - up to 6 people -Group - up to 16 people. All of our group sites can accommodate much larger groups. Please call to make those reservations, so that we can make sure your specific needs can be met. Once arriving there, follow the posted instructions. or USE THE WRITTEN DIRECTIONS in the BOOKING CONFIRMATION.....PLEASE! The sites are listed based on reviews, as a default of the Hipcamp site. Please scroll through. Not all sites can accommodate groups. Some sites are not feasible for large trailers. Click on a site for more details in the description. We offer some of the most beautiful scenery in western Washington. Here you will find the peaceful quiet of being "away from it all", yet in reality you are only a little over a mile from the local grocery store, restaurants, and gas stations along Hwy 12 in Randle. Randle is a gateway to many other outdoor areas and activities including Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, and Mt. St. Helens. We have a private entry from the highway, so you can feel safe leaving your camp set up while you take day excursions. We have sites scattered across 70 acres. Your perfect camping site may be found in the fields, in the shade of the trees, by the river, in view of Mt. Adams, or a combination of these. You can be assured plenty of space for privacy and quiet, even if other campers are in the vicinity. We currently host newly developed, private river access, camp areas on the upper Cowlitz River. Many of the sites may have a lot of dirt rather than grass. This dirt turns to dust in dry weather. We are hoping to have most of them seeded with grass, but we will see how that goes (grows). This has been a cattle grazing pasture for the past 100 years. It is also flood plain, so we get a fresh covering of river silt almost every year. This also turns to a fine powdery dust in dry weather. However, many say that the river access, the surrounding beauty, and the privacy, far outweigh the inconvenience of any dust. The property has a TWO MILE perimeter.....there is plenty of room! We have 25 site locations strategically spread across this large acreage, each with its own "personality" and benefits. All campers have the ability to access the river at any of the four beaches. One of the most common comments from our campers is that they cannot believe how much space is between campsites. This year, almost all of the sites have a view of the river. We make an effort to maintain site privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. We value being in the outdoors, with the feeling of "getting away", without having the rules, restrictions, and the crowded conditions found in typical campground areas.... we figure you do too. We just ask that you respect other campers, especially concerning campsite noise levels at night. Campers can "float the loop" which consists of launching on the upriver side of the peninsula, floating/kayaking around to the downriver side, getting out and walking across the field to launch again. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION FOR EACH SITE to find out what type of vehicle it can handle. We have pictures for many, but we will be working through the winter and spring to develop others. The only Hipcamp site location pinpoint will be for the access road at the highway. Please look at the picture of our site map to see where your site is located. We have to do this because people have not been reading the directions given, and our neighbors have given negative feedback about strangers driving into their yards. New pics will be added as we get them. Please feel free to ask questions about any site. Most areas can be accessed with 2wd vehicles, although certain areas may be a little rough for something with low clearance. Some sites are more friendly to larger trailers than others. Please read the descriptions and ask questions if you are unsure. We have four separate riverbars, some with sandy beach areas. There is plenty of river space for all. Ask us about river floating and kayak options. Let us know if you have a special group event. We are very flexible and can help you create the situation that would suit your group the best. Pets are welcome, but be aware that coyotes, bobcat, and cougar have been sited in the valley. There are also eagles and hawks to be aware of for smaller animals. Feel free to reach out with questions before booking to make sure all of your needs can be accommodated. Things to be considered: Need for campfire wood, need for water, types of vehicles, your camping goal (group get together or total solitude with peace and quiet), quick easy access to the main road or camping way off the path, best pet areas, best kid friendly areas, ect. Big Back Yard

We have an acre of land with an orchard, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, tons of flowers and peace and quiet except for some traffic on Veazie Cumberland Rd. There is a tree farm across the street from the campsite and a blueberry farm across Veazie. Picking time for blueberries is end of July into August. Deep lake is four miles from our house as well as Kanaskit State Park with a river. Mt Rainier is about 45 minutes away. Mt Peak, 1000 ft hike, is 4 miles toward Enumclaw from us. Learn more about this land: Tent, trailer 29 foot maximum length, 29 foot Motor Homes, Sorry, spot for backyard camping. Forty feet from our home separate room with fridge, microwave and bathroom with cotton towels, individual hotel hand soap with shampoo and conditioner, two sinks, shower with a claw foot bath tub, seven foot long, bathroom might be shared with other guests. Cleaned after each persons use due to Covid 19 and just because we are really clean hosts. Campsite faces a Christmas Tree Farm and cows in a field. Blueberry Farm across the street. Traffic noise as Veazie Cumberland is a main two lane road 100 feet from camp. Two parks within four miles. Four miles from the town of Enumclaw. We have a 3 or 8 person tent for rent, a double cot or air mattress, sleeping bags if needed as well all at reasonable rental prices.

Cowlitz Falls Lavender Co. is quietly nestled in the heart of Randle, Washington, surrounded by the beauty of the Cascade Mountain Range and just a stone's throw away from the majestic Mount St. Helens. The fertile ground, courtesy of the active stratovolcano once known as Mount Lawetlat'la, provides the perfect foundation for our lavender fields. With pomace-enriched soil that aids in drainage, our farm boasts lush lavender plants thriving beneath a foot of rich topsoil. A hub for nature enthusiasts, our farm is a gateway to a plethora of outdoor adventures, from nearby campgrounds to the serene Lake Skanewa and the meandering Cowlitz River. The spirit of our farm traces back to 2014 when we embarked on a journey of turning neglected land into a flourishing lavender sanctuary. Despite facing setbacks like the loss of Debbie in 2018, we remain steadfast in carrying forward her vision. Our recent milestone was the grand celebration of Debbie's dream at our largest festival, where thousands flocked to revel in the lavender harvest, painting classes, and community spirit. Aquaman Mountain

322 acres that was cut down in 2020. We are growing over 150,000 trees on it now with plans to line the 1.5 mile driveway with Japanese Cherry Blossoms from DC (Yoshino, Kwanzan, Weeping, Okame, Higan). The mountain starts at 600 feet elevation and climbs to 1600 feet. Very peaceful and remote yet you can see Seattle and Mt Rainer. In the Fall/Winter of 2023-2024, we have spread millions of wildflower seeds. We are very excited to see the results in Spring 2024. As I will spend over $60k a year fighting blackberry, cottonwood, red alder, and Elk to get our forest established in the next few years, your contribution by staying here will 100% assist with helping the trees. There are 9 different secluded campsites on the mountain. All the sites can be used to host parties of up to 150 people (we have done it several times). The issue to consider is traffic. For large parties, we ask most people (usually car people) to park below on Green River Gorge Rd (there is a large county pull off) and then load into the back of trucks for the drive up the mountain. It is a one lane road, so it could get congested if 100 cars drove up it. One retirement party rented a bus for running people up and down and a porta potty at their site for guests. I am very happy to assist with party planning and setup if you have a wedding or retirement or business party. (or anything else) Boy and Girl Scout troops and Explorer scout units are welcome to camp free (when doing unit camping). Site 4 would be best for large troops.

Majestic Meadows

Majestic Meadows is located on the back forested side of 10 acres. Each campsite is placed far enough apart to have privacy to enjoy the serenity of the camping experience. The property is filled with wild life. Mornings will be greeted with birdsong and our fields occasionally with elk, dear, and coyotes. Our property is a bird haven, so if you love watching birds we get regular sightings of Hawks, Eagles, Sparrows, Robins and little peaks of the adorable Humming birds. Our bunny population has no issues reproducing and filling all our bushes with their cute tails. If adventure is your desire, we are located perfectly! Mt. Rainier scenic drive can be enjoyed from either 401 or a short drive to the southern entrance. Passing through Elbe where you can stop for a nice bite to eat on a train at the Mt. Rainier Railroad Dining Co. or visit a car show in the small quaint town of Eatonville. There's a plethora of things to do from hiking to kayaking, fishing, scenic drives, memorable dining, buying local organic fruit, visiting the Northwest Trek Wildlife Park and so much more. We truly love our property and it's location and we're excited to share it with you. NOTE: Please clean up after pets and do not leave your trash. We do not offer trash services here. If you see a trash bin it is most likely for storing our kindling. Please do not leave your trash in it. Pack it out with you. We maintain our property and clean the toilets once or twice a week. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you might have about your stay or local attractions.

Ten of Cups Farm

We are nestled between the icy flows of the Cowlitz River and the gentle giants of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. The babbling of the creek and calls of the goats will welcome you as you arrive on these 29 acres of beloved land tended as a home, farm and refuge of spirit. While you are our guests, you will live in a spacious, all season canvas tent outfitted with a queen sized bed. In the cold season, your tent will be warmed by a small wood stove. You can enjoy a slow morning, making your coffee and breakfast in our fully equipped outdoor kitchen, relax in a hammock under the orchard trees, and jump in a hot shower alongside the creek before heading out on your adventures. A couple notes about your stay: -We have an off-leash farm doggie named, Saorsa, (pronounced Seer-sha) she is extremely friendly and excited to greet you! She will bark when you arrive, and possibly at other moments of interaction but she responds quickly to sweet invitations and affection. She gets along well with other dogs and loves to play! -Please only bring your dog if you are confident that they will not have negative interactions with our goats, and that they can safely roam a place where there are strangers, children, and other animals. Please be prepared to keep your dog on a leash at all times if they are not able to adjust to the farm life. Thank you! -We are currently asking guests to pack out recycling. Misty Meadows Adventures Mt.Rainier

Perfect basecamp when visiting Mount Rainier! Come and stay on our small homestead and honeybee farm in Mineral, Washington. Located right on State Route 7, with easy access, we are 2 hours south of Seattle, a little over 2.5 hours north of Portland, and 2.5 hours west of Yakima. And minutes from Mount Rainier National Park, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, and Elbe Hills and Tahoma State Forests. We are a small homestead and apiary (honey bee farm) tucked beneath Mount Rainier in the beautiful PNW where on a clear day you’ll be treated to a stunning view of the mountain. We offer 3 campsites** in an open field where it’s not unusual to see elk or deer in the early morning hours or to see ducks, geese and other waterfowl enjoying our pond or hear our resident frogs serenading you in the evenings. There are wildflowers to enjoy, bees and other pollinators to photograph, and on clear nights, the star gazing is amazing - bring your telescope if you've got one! Our property is adjacent to National Forest Land, perfect for hiking, foraging, and hunting. We are located 5 minutes from Mineral Lake - home of the 10 pound trout, ideal for the avid fisherman, boater, kayaker or all around water enthusiast, 5 miles from Alder Lake, 10 miles from the quaint town of Ashford, and we are only 15 miles from the Nisqually entrance of Mount Rainier National Park. Our Campsites are "no frills” - dry camping/boondocking without many amenities. A toilet seat and bucket system is provided. Absolutely no cat holes! **Camp Site Sizes: • Camp Site #1 - large enough for two RV’s and/or four-six 6-person tents. • Camp Site # 2 - large enough for one RV and/or four-six person tents. & one hammock • Camp Site 3 - large enough for two 6-person tents. This site is the most private, however it does not have a direct view of Mount Rainier. Water is NOT available at the camp sites but there are potable water facets elsewhere on the property and a bucket provided to transport water. Electricity is NOT available, however, generators are permitted. WiFi is NOT available, however Verizon and T-Mobile customers may find they have cell service on and around our property. BEES!!! This is a working “bee farm”. If you are allergic to bees, think you might be allergic to bees or are afraid of bees, you may want to look at other listings. We enjoy sharing our love of bees. If you’d like to learn more, you can even purchase a “beekeeping mini class/demonstration”, payable as a Hipcamp "extra" or in cash money when you arrive depending on the season. PETS - They must remain on a leash and in your control at all times and please pick up after them. LIVESTOCK - We have Chickens & Turkeys. The turkeys will greet you with you with friendly gobbles and clucks when you arrive and a our rooster can seem rather vociferous as he announces each new day earlier than we expect. AND last year we added two adorable calves, Blondie and Munchie that would love for you to visit and feed them grain! When available, fresh eggs and local honey available for purchase payable as a Hipcamp "extra" or in cash money when you arrive. If you need gifts for the folks back home or souvenirs from your adventure, we may also have a selection of our soaps, honey in glass bottles, honey suckers and other “honey bee” related items available -- just ask us and we’d be happy to show you our stock. There are several good soaking locations - provided you don't mind the crisp, cool water - as well as many shallow spots to splash and play in. Picnic tables and fire rings are provided at each bell tent site, and a communal picnic area is available near the creek. You will have everything you need to relax and settle in close to nature. We are located between Morton and Packwood, about an hour east of I-5 and an hour west of White Pass. There is endless hiking, fishing, and exploring to do in the area.
