It's currently identified as a USDA type silvopasture farm. The priority crop is growing native fir trees that will be harvested in 60+ years as telephone poles. During this time, the land will be grazed by a variety of livestock balanced to keep fields and animals healthy and productive. We have a small area, but most of it is shaded and right by the river. Learn more about this land: Come camp near the river at a fully-functional whitewater river rafting basecamp!! Our group-style camping area is ideal for small groups of people or couples. We have a total of 4 spots. Spot #1 is our largest spot, suitable for 4 or 5 two-person or three-person tents. Spot #2 is a bit smaller, ideal for up to 3 medium-sized tents. Spots 3 and 4 are suitable for two small to medium-sized tents. Camp spots are next to each other, so there's not a lot of "wild forest camping" here.  We refer to it as urban camping. All spots are level and graveled. Please be aware that there is some traffic noise in the area, as we are near Highway 2.   There are also picnic tables in the camping area for all campers to use as well as several hammocks.. Access to the river is very nearby. Weekend camping is limited, and you may occasionally hear the sound of a train whistle. WiFi and a fire pit are included, as well as on-site port-a-potties.  Hot outdoor showers are also on-site and available to all rafters and campers. There is a large communal fire pit, but no individual campfire pits; however, the option is to bring a propane stand-alone fire pit.  Fires are allowed in April, May, and June; the fire ban starts on July 1st due to wildfire concerns. No smoking and children are OK as long as they are kept under control and monitored at all times.   Our property features potable water, on-site outdoor showers, and a foot-operated hand wash station.  Our camping area is somewhat small and does not have grass, but it is graveled.  Please be respectful of our neighbors and other campers by keeping your music at a low to medium volume.  Please bring a photo ID and a credit card to complete our camper registration form.  Additionally, we are a river rafting company, so we may not have anyone present when you arrive - don't worry, we are likely on the river and will return soon!  *** Please message before booking to ensure we are a good match***

Such a magical little spot with the best hosts! Nothing like a crackling fire right next to a picturesque river. The sauna absolutely made the trip with a warm spot to relax in the cold of winter. You can see the river from inside too. All the amenities you need for some excellent glamping! We went up to Scenic Hot Springs and then stayed here. The perfect little getaway with my spouse.

Weekend Trip to Ascent Basecamp

We camped at Ascent Basecamp in mid October and enjoyed our stay that we booked again this last weekend in mid November despite the pouring rain each time because of the beautiful riverside setting and shared covered kitchen with the essential wood stove made it that cozy! The drive to experience the fall leaves and a visit to Leavenworth were calling! I actually loved the trains across the highway and the river sounds which drown out any traffic noise from the highway. The camp caretakers were all helpful and the sauna experience was great the second time after the wood was sorted.

Weekend Trip to Camp River Run

The property is set up nicely with 2 spots. Site A is the easier set up given the location of the elctrical outlet and ease of backing in the trailer. We had the site to ourselves, so this review is based on that. There is plenty of space for yard games, we played a lot of bocce ball, frisbee, kicked a soccer ball around and hung out by the fire for some serious rounds of Uno. The fire bowl is large and offers a great setting near the river. A Bald Eagle graced our presence hovering over the river which was a cool visual. The outhouse has a heat lamp which is suitable for a cold night and made doing the business more comfortable than expected. A very clean site overall. Only down side is the location is right off the hwy, so raod noise is a thing if that bothers you. Also, do not follow google maps, it will take you down Braeburn Rd way past the site. Turning a trailer around was a challenge. As you pull off the hwy onto Braeburn, the lot is the first left. Way easy to find, I was just stuck to maps, so more of a human error. If you take this spot, you will enjoy it.

Weekend Trip to Camp River Run

The fall foliage is gorgeous this time of year and the river made a beautiful backdrop. Porta potty was clean and had a nice heat lamp. Easy in and out for a 31' RV. A little weird having the owners come and go putting stuff in the shed while there. I wouldn't want to stay here if the other site is booked, they're not private at all. Very well kept, beautiful!

Weekend Trip to Ascent Basecamp

Instructions for arrival were great. We got to campsite after sunset, in the middle of rain, after hiking Colchuck Lake. Finding site was easy, and description is accurate. Was a little concerned about possibility of traffic noise, but Mark was spot on, you won’t hear a thing! Waking up the next morning to the sound of the river was awesome. Facilities were clean, and sauna looked very inviting. We will definitely be back, this site is surrounded by places we want to explore.

3 nights at Twisp River Rustic Campground

Booked a last minute weekend to hike the north cascades for fall colors and larch trees, and figured this place was the perfect location, and a bonus being dog friendly with a nice little field to let my dog run. A couple things to note about the property though, for the price: there is no bathroom, and all three campsites on the property are really close to the highway, so road noise is constant (but wasn’t really too hard to sleep). I actually decided to stay at the snow park down the street one of the nights, to be closer to the trailhead and have a bathroom nearby (for free)

Weekend Trip to Silverline Lakeside Resort

Big campsite with great views and lots of tables and fire pits. I was under the impression it was just a big field that was a free for all, but it was in fact an actual campground with all the things you need. We camped here for a night after all the first come first serve campsites near Maple Loop Trail were taken up. It was about 45 min away. I would love to come back in summer and actually hang in the lake and stay at the campsite longer to explore the area.

1 night at Twisp River Rustic Campground

This is the a very clean, level, easy to access and a short distance to Twisp. We selected the first camp and it was easy to setup our Class B RV. We live out in the country ourselves and so load noises camping is avoided. I share this due to the road is not that far from the first camp but the traffic even on a Sunday was very light, not a problem. The most impressive feature is how well this Hipcamp is taken care of. It is nice to park on a green lawn. The camp should win an award for the best camp. We hit Twisp for a bike ride around town, and found that on a Sunday 3pm is closing time for some stores.

Christine’s land was perfect for a quiet getaway. It is on a farm, so you do hear animals from a far distance. It was not annoying whatsoever. Plenty of room for larger tents or even multiple tents. The river access was really nice for sitting next to with a cocktail or early morning coffee. The toilet is a little bit of a walk, but I always bring my own.

Awesome spot! Really quiet and spacious. We had a minor issue when we arrived but Mariah responded to my message and had it taken care of promptly. We brought our own toilet set-up and my friend was kindly informed by staff that the tasting room bathroom isn’t encouraged for campers. There is an outhouse nearby though. Willow Point is a great place to go for a swim in Lake Chelan and is a 9 min drive from the site.

Weekend Trip to Ascent Basecamp

My friend and I had a wonderful time at Ascent Basecamp and look forward to returning in the future. The site was easily accessible and we stayed just a few feet from the river. Although we were near the highway, the sound of the river drowned out the noise and made it feel like we had the whole place to ourselves (which we did the second night). The communal kitchen was perfect and provided a dry space to chill on a drizzly morning, while enjoying a lofty view of the river. The sauna add on was PERFECT. We were delighted to meet the campground hosts who were incredibly kind, accommodating, and respectful. We also enjoyed great food and hospitality at Maggy's Mexican restaurant in Goldbar and Squirrel Tree at Cole's Corner.
