Located only a 5 minute drive to Mayfield Lake in Lewis County, our property is a rustic retreat from the hustle and bustle. There are plenty of outdoor exploration opportunities in the area. We have 5 acres with a great camping spot with a fire pit nestled among large evergreen trees. The tress provide shade in the summer months. For bird lovers and botanists, we have left our land native with grass lands among the trees. offering up an area on our property for clean, friendly, quiet campers that want to get out of the city and enjoy some peace and quiet. We are located in Banks, Oregon. We are approximately 45 minutes west of downtown Portland. Our camping area is about 5 acres and offers something for everyone. If you have a large RV and need a safe and quiet spot to stay for the night, we got you. We have a large fire pit, Adirondak chairs, a large picnic table, and a swing set for the kids. Badminton and cornhole available on request. Family get-togethers or birthday parties are welcome! We are located just 1.5 miles from The Banks-Vernonia Trail. Bike campers are welcome! Feel free to bring along your 4-legged friends as well. We do not have a fence, so if you do not trust your dog of a leash, please keep them tied up. We have a lot of deer that pass through and untrained dogs love chasing them. Banks has a few restaurants to choose from: Subway, Dairy Queen, Main Street Pizza, Mary's Mexican Food, Hop-Cycle Brewing to name a few. There is also a Supermarket in town just in case you forgot your S'mores supplies, Spirits, or campfire wood. We are about 20 minutes away from McMenamins Grand Lodge, in Forest Grove, which hosts some great live concerts during the summer. We have a few fishing spots within about 30 minutes of the property. Hagg lake, Horning's Hideout, Dorman's Pond and the Wilson River are all popular spots. We have clean well water and 50A electrical hookups. We do not offer dumping of black water, but you can empty your tank at the Elks club in Forest Grove (25-minute drive) for free or Camping World over in Hillsboro. I don't mind if you drain your gray water on the property as long as you use a longer hose to keep it away from the immediate camping area. The parking area for RV's is fairly level and easy to get in and out of. During the late summer, our 5 apple trees produce great fruit. We also have 2 plum trees, and some blackberries. Feel free to pick what you would like. Currently, we do not have any public bathroom facilities available for campers, so please plan accordingly. Please, only book if you have an RV with working plumbing. **We will not accept tent campers** Please feel free to ask me any questions, we are willing to make accommodations for special situations/events if possible!

This was our first voyage with our teardrop trailer. Scott’s camp was perfect for us — away from the city and very peaceful, but not difficult to find. We stayed at Site 3 and really enjoyed the view of the meadow and trees. Felt very safe. And the outhouse, hand sink, and solar shower were wonderful to have right there. And it’s sooo quiet at night. Thank you, Scott!

We enjoyed this sweet, quiet, treed little spot. There was a bit of daytime street noise but nothing continuous or extremely loud. The nights were very peaceful. Linda is very friendly. There was a trash can, recycle bin, and bucket of water at the sight. We have a 21ft travel trailer. Backing skills a must, and a spotter recommended as the path back to sight is narrow and has a bit of a curve to it. Perfect spot to overnight after enjoying the nearby lakes, swimming hole, and State Park.

It wasn't too far from the freeway, which was helpful since we had many plans to go places during our stay. Scott was very helpful and kind! He offered us fruits from his trees. The hosts were absolutely wonderful! Very helpful and communicative. There was a little mix up of our site but they immediately informed us before we arrived to work things through and they were there in person to help us get situated. Absolutely lovely people. The spot we stayed at had a pretty view of their property and was recently maintained. I love the smell of fresh cut grass. They mow trails all around their property and I enjoyed walking my dog along the trail in the morning fog. There's an Irish pub at the start of the road to their campground that has fantastic homemade apple pie, definitely get you some pie. Google maps took us to the wrong location so be sure to put in the address they provide. Cape Dissapointment was a 40 minute drive and a perfect destination for hiking and site seing some pretty lighthouses or roaming the beach. If you like old forts there's Fort Columbia on the way as well. All in all, I highly recommend!

I loved RV camping at this property. It was incredibly quiet during the day. Having the fire pit and table right next to the camping site was perfect. We biked each day on the Banks/ Vernonia trail. Talon was very friendly and checked in to see if we needed anything. We would definitely camp there again.

Camping on Sue’s land was exactly what my family and I were hoping for! There was eight adults and two little kids and everyone had a great time. The campsite was clean, with plenty of space and having the covered picnic table was super helpful since it rained the first night. Sue was also such a great host! She let us use a propane fire pit since there was a burn ban which definitely added to the camping feel. This will definitely be a campsite we plan on returning to!
