Come stay in our beautiful safari tent and experience our flower farm and old-growth Maple Forest. Located in the heart of Olalla near the Colvos Passage waterway, a ferry ride from West Seattle, 20 minutes from Tacoma, and near the quaint town of Gig Harbor. Last year we upgraded to two queen sized memory foam beds!! Lovely 100% cotton sheets and cozy blankets will keep you nice and comfy on those cool nights. Two extra twin sized cots are available to rent in the "Extras" section of the listing.** You will feel very secluded on our 5 acre property. Our parcel is partially wooded and partially cleared for our flower farm. But it adjoins neighboring properties that have an additional 20+ acres that are totally wooded giving the feeling of being further away from civilization than you are. Enjoy an outdoor shower on the edge of the woods with on-demand hot water. You’ll also have your own custom made steel fire pit with fire wood available for purchase (or you can bring your own). We have an outdoor picnic table as well as a table inside the tent for late night card games. There's a lovely little bathroom with a composting toilet and a sink with running water. We allow up to 6 people (absolutely no pets) and request that parties respect the limit so that our composting toilet can keep up with the demand with minimal servicing while you are here (to maintain your privacy). Please contact us to set up a time for a guided tour if you are interested in seeing the farm up close. Please no U-pick or tours without guidance. We’d like to make sure to point out that there is convenient and dedicated parking for campers but the camping spot is about 200 feet from the parking area and over uneven ground. Beautiful, stunning property with lots of plants and flowers and animals. The host was very welcoming and gave us a good tour of the property, which included a kitchen, outdoor shower, and library. The only con was that there are no toilets available, and the portapotties were overdue for service (not by fault of the host). The cotton cabin itself was great, in a secluded area by a fire pit and beautiful mossy forest. The beds were decent, but keep in mind that the host does not recommend larger people on the top bunks. It would be perfect for a group of younger travellers. Overall, highly recommend for people who are interested in permaculture, herbs, wool, etc, this land looks well cared for :)

This is a very pleasant place to rest. It is a working farm with many developed common areas that are shared with other campers and less developed sleeping spaces that are private. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of the visit and would especially recommend the pick berries and salad options.

Our family loved camping here! It was our first time camping with kiddos and the amenities made it so much easier. Comfy warm beds, hot shower, and composting toilet made camp life a breeze. Jodi and Aaron were the sweetest hosts, offering recommendations for 4th of July fireworks viewing and restaurants. Would absolutely recommend this spot - it was an easy commute from Seattle on the Southworth Ferry.

Kateen is a wonderful and friendly host, the site is lovely with places to wander or rest. Even when almost every site was occupied, everyone was a polite neighbor and respected quiet hours. Highlights for me was walking the labyrinth and making my own blend of homegrown herbs into a goodnight drink. My 4 year old loved visiting the sheep, wandering the garden and petting the friendly free roaming turkeys. My husband loved talking to a couple that became friends. A note to potential guests, the turkeys have no fear of people and will invade your personal space. My daughter loved this, but it made outdoor meal times interesting. The geese and ducks are more standoffish lol. One other note: free roaming fowl, means you will step in poop, and makes the rule of no shoes inside most buildings a necessity. If you're going to be cooking in the kitchen, you're going to want shoes that go on and off easily (I'd recommend garden clogs or similar).

Everything was better than we could have imagined. Space was beautiful, location was easy to get to, and convenient to Olalla market, the park, beds were comfy. Super nice outdoor hot water shower, games for entertaining and a great fire pit (bring wood). Jodi and Aaron were fabulous hosts and we left with a vehicle full of beautiful flowers. Also, the doggies Norman and Bruce brought us much joy when we got a chance to visit them. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet night away.

The Dragonfly Den is a 10x20 canvas walled cabin with a wooden floor, twin beds, private fully equipped outdoor kitchen, private bbq, private outhouse with composting toilet and access to shared shower and shared firepit.

Elona was such a gracious host! The Dragonfly Den was exactly what my friend and I were looking for in a cozy reading retreat. The Den was intimate and wonderful. The warming blankets were ultra comfy and luxurious. The weather cooperated and we even got to have a campfire in the evening. Jim built a wonderful campfire for us and was kind enough to share some of his awesome stories. Would come back again!!!

We had such a lovely time, even with less than ideal weather! The beds were very comfortable (probably the most comfortable beds we’ve had ant ANY accommodation) and sufficiently warm. The tent was super spacious and it was nice to have a little seating area inside where it was dry. Jodi was very willing to answer ALL of our questions so we felt sufficiently prepared. It is clear that this property is well loved and the hosts take pride in providing a comfortable and enjoyable stay for their guests.
