If you love privacy, nature, wildlife, and fresh air, you will love Deer Park Mountain View RV Campsite. Our property is 17 acres of mostly unimproved land. There are open meadows, forested areas, and a trail that circles the property. Find the beginning of the wood-chip trail near the campsite and follow it through the trees. The trail comes out near the house. Enjoy the view and take care near the cliff. The campsite is in a small open meadow surrounded by trees on three sides and with a view to the south toward the Olympic mountains. We have only one campsite. You will be very private with no other campers nearby. Electrical, water, and sewer hookups are provided. NOTE: There are no bathroom facilities for tent campers. SEWER HOOKUP NOTE: Sewer hookup is on the driver's side of the vehicle if you pull in forward. If you pull all the way forwards the sewer hookup will be 24' behind the front tire. There is no turnaround and you cannot drive off the front of the pad. The hookup is raised about 2 feet off the ground to enable gravity feed. It may not work to back in and run the sewer hose on the ground to our connection. Please contact us if you have any questions. ELECTRICAL HOOKUP NOTE: Our hookup is 50 amps. Please let us know if you need a 30 amp adapter. NOTE: We live near a greenspace wildlife corridor and you may see wild animals on our property. It is advisable not to interact with any wild animals. Hand sanitizer is available in the out house, which we sanitize everyday. We are close to the Elwha river and numerous hiking and biking trails. Seventeen miles outside of Port Angeles. This is a dry camp. Distance from the campground: Olympic Discovery Trail - 1 Mile Elwha Interpretive Center - 2 miles Mouth of Elwha River - 2.5 Miles Salt Creek - 4 Miles Port Angeles - 7.5 Miles Lake Crescent - 15 Miles Also, you'll want to bring your own briquettes. We have BBQ pits for your use. Coming along hwy 112 from Port Angeles you'll cross the intersection of Dan Kelly/Place Road and the highway (don't turn here, stay on highway 112). If your navigation software tells you to turn on Dan Kelly, turn it off. We are NOT on Dan Kelly road. We are on hwy 112. We are the first left, just after the guardrails. Down the gravel road some 75 feet, turn right at the "Ranger Creek Campground" sign and follow the unimproved road about 100 feet to the campground. Campsite 4 is the first one you'll see, further down the road campground 1 is on the left, campsite 2 is on the right, campsite 3 is strait ahead. Please respect the privacy of the other campers. In the rainy season the road in can be slick. Four Wheel Drive vehicles are recommended in the case of large amounts of rain, or snow. Not recommended for RV's or trailers over 15 feet. Pack your own trash out please.

Looks like the pictures. Had to back in to our spot from the road but it was a straight shot and fairly easy to do with the wide double gate. Low usage road so there was little pressure to hurry. Full hookups worked well as did the internet. Would come back again and really enjoyed our weekend.

Amazing spot overlooking the marina and bay. Within walking distance of great food, Beach 1 and a store. We don’t fish but hundreds of others were and they all had smiles on their faces.

Weekend Trip to Deer Park Mountain View RV Campsite

As described and met our needs. We are close enough to many hiking trails - loved the backyard trail for a quick dog walk. The neighbors were quiet. Even the dogs mentioned in previous reviews were scarce - only saw one and it kept its distance. We did not get to meet Susan, but did meet many deer and the chickens. The only cons (and these are mentioned in the description) are the hook ups are on the oppsote side. A 25 ft water hose, 25 ft electric (50amp connection) and 30ft sewer connection worked. The sewer connection sits high making it difficult to manage easily. It may be more convenient to pay and use a station I.E. state park. Our stay was a short three days, it would not be an inconvenience to dump elsewhere. Actually would have been easier to do so. We would definitely stay here again. We had a lovely time. This place is fantastic! Perfectly situated overlooking the marina with beautiful views. Super clean, secure, and is exactly as described. Deon, the host, is the best we have experienced to date on HipCamp. So responsive and leaves no details out from start to finish. We will be back time and time again! We loved the people in Sekiu, and Neah Bay. Such rich history, geography, and of course the fish…so tasty. We went on beautiful walks right from our site and rode out the motorcycle several 100 miles exploring the landscape. You won’t be disappointed.

Great campsite! Very private campsite with an amazing location. This site has one of the best swimming holes I have ever swam in at any campsite I’ve been to just upstream. Compost toilets were not a problem and didn’t have a smell after we spent 4 days here. We will dolphinately be coming back to this site.

This spot is incredible, and we’ll definitely be back. My stranger danger dog had a blast being able to relax with a very private spot and the swimming hole is a dream. It does get damp up in the camp overnight so definitely be ready to dry things out or not leave things out overnight. Bathrooms were clean and pleasant to use.

Weekend Trip to Bogachiel Upriver Campsites

We really enjoyed this quiet spot along the Bogachiel River. River access is strait off the campsite, immediately taking you out to a series of gentle rapids. We enjoyed watching wildlife and hanging out by the water, almost completely undisturbed by others. The compost toilets were the cleanest and nicest I’ve ever seen. And while the picnic table was built for giants, I appreciated that it was covered and constructed solidly. Beware of the big dip when you turn into the driveway from the road. Otherwise, an ideal campsite.

Beautiful view and the host was very friendly! It is a little tricky with a 32ft RV to get into the spot with a locked gate. Be prepared to find somewhere to pull over and figure out the gate situation as it's off of a narrow, steep 2 lane road. Once set up it's perfect!

Everything we needed! Full hookups and everything was beautifully maintained! The view was incredible! We loved looking out over the water watching the boats and the eagles. We enjoyed a great lunch at the By the Bay Cafe. We took a drive and our puppy enjoyed exploring nearby beaches. It rained while we were there, but we just set up our canopy and continued enjoying the sea air. Thanks for sharing your beautiful place!
