Come stay and enjoy nature at this secluded forest retreat. Full hookups allow you to use your RV with minimal hassle. Sleep with the windows open to enjoy the sounds of the rushing Lyre River below. With 800 feet of riverbank on both sides, the area is yours to explore, along with some pristine forest. This is a wild place, think of boon docking but with full hookups and you'll have a good feel for it! Ferns can tower over a 6-foot-tall person in an undisturbed paradise like this, all just 10 minutes from Olympic National Park’s gorgeous Lake Crescent and 15 minutes from the tide pools and sea stacks at Salt Creek. The crystal-clear river is perfect for swimming, fishing, or even hunting for rocks. With only three campsites, you won’t be bumping into many other people here. Just up the road in Joyce is the charming Joyce General Store and Joyce & Co. Café. Down the road the other way is Murdock Beach, ideal for rock hounding and beachcombing. The adventurous can continue down Route 112 to Neah Bay. You’re also close to the world-famous Hoh Rain Forest and Second Beach—the best parts of Olympic National Park. Please respect and follow all fire bans before starting any fires. A sign with the current status is posted in Joyce, and firewood is available for purchase.

The Sockeye
We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this spot. The site was clean, well maintained, and felt secure with the gated entry. The sound of the creek was really relaxing, and the stargazing was amazing thanks to the lack of light pollution. Joe, the property’s forester, was a fantastic host—he checked in daily and was incredibly kind. It’s conveniently located near Port Angeles, Hurricane Ridge, and other outdoor activities. While it’s close to a road, it stays quiet since traffic is light. With the proximity to the road and dense trees, keep an eye on your kids and pets. The campsites themselves are very close together, which makes this an especially great option if you’re booking the whole property with friends or family, or if you enjoy a more social camping atmosphere. Overall, a peaceful location with a great host and beautiful surroundings—we’d gladly stay again.
