Location: This gorgeous piece of property is located on beautiful Fidalgo Island (Anacortes, Washington), less than one minute away from Deception Pass State Park. Yes, we are within walking distance of Deception Pass State Park and we border Pass Lake. This amazing Hipcamp is located on just under 17 gorgeous acres, with amazing water and forest views. This breathtaking location is extremely unique, because we are surrounded by Deception Pass State Park. Therefore, we are extremely fortunate to have the state park, so close to our Rosario Camp & RV location.
Wildlife: When it comes to wildlife, you will wake-up to the beautiful and rejuvenating melodies of a plethora of wild birds, chipmunks, squirrels, woodpeckers,, etc. During your stay, you will cross paths with deer and various other wild animals, in this very natural and pristine setting.
Vegetation: While enjoying your stay at Rosario Camp & RV, you’ll also enjoy a medley of flora, such as the Western Red Cedar, Douglas Fir, Pacific Madrone and many other native trees. In addition, you’ll be able to taste absolutely delicious in-season wild berries, view Pacific Bleeding hearts, vine maples and many more different types of vegetation, native to Northwestern Washington.
Many Fun Activities: In this location, you will have so many spots to enjoy various water sport activities , which include: Pass Lake (no motors), Bowman Bay, Lake Campbell, etc. At our beautiful Hipcamp location you’re, literally, in the middle of it all. If you’d like, you may choose to walk, bike, moped or drive across the street (Rosario Road), to Deception Pass State Park, to explore various views and go for absolutely amazing hikes. You may choose to go on long mountain bike rides, with breathtaking views of Deception Pass Bridge, Bowman Bay and more. Perhaps, you’ll choose to rent a paddle board, canoe, kayak, boat or simply bring your own. There is scuba diving and scuba diving classes available, in the area. How about going on a fly fishing adventure, for stocked cutthroat, rainbow and/or brown trout (15”-29”+), at beautiful Pass Lake. If you’re interested in yachting or fishing the “big water”that is also an option, in the area of Anacortes (A-Town). There are many different tours available, at and around Deception Pass State Park, on land and/or on one of our area lakes or in the big water. We also have numerous exciting festivals, outdoor concerts, bike and boat races, for you, your family and friends to enjoy. Bikes are a great option for exploring the island and the surrounding area including all that Edison has to offer just a few miles away.
Site includes a designated parking space, two large decks with a pergola, gazebo, timber table, firepit and adirondack chairs for enjoying the view. we are best setup for tent campers w/ single vehicle, trucks w/ slide in campers, vans etc. We CANNOT accommodate travel trailers at this site!

The Guemes North Homestead is ten acres of gorgeous tall trees, clearings, homestead buildings, pond, trails, renewable energy gear, and more, set in the middle of the north end of Guemes Island, at the end of a 1/3-mile dead-end driveway. It includes a 30-year-old orchard, a developed garden with fine soil, a pond with rope swing and waterslide, several solar and wind energy systems, and multiple buildings. It's about a mile in two directions from the Pacific Ocean beach, and is surrounded by wooded acreage that is criss-crossed with trails and friendly neighbors, on an island with about 700 year-round residents and an active weekend/summer population.
Homestead owner Ian Woofenden is an expert in renewable energy systems. He's lived off-grid at the homestead for 40-plus years, where he raised his large family and managed several small businesses. He now consults, sells, writes, and teaches about renewable energy in the U.S. and in Central America.
If your idea of a great getaway is to help out and do physical work, just ask Ian. There's always something going on at the homestead, including garden and orchard work, trail building, wood cutting, construction, sawmilling, and more. Ian built this place, and has a broad knowledge of lots of homestead and sustainability topics. He loves sharing his knowledge and experience with guest, students, and interns.

*We are a small, private campground. As such, our site limits are set to 2 ppl, 1 vehicle, 1 tent. You can select to add up to 2 more ppl on select sites, for an additional charge. Our sites are simply not large enough to be considered group sites. For your comfort, we recommended that you book multiple sites if you have a larger party. As always, we can help you choose the best site for your party, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
* 4-wheel drive is recommended for Sites 9-11 due to the steady uphill gravel driveway loop. Especially recommended for vans and heavier vehicles.

Sequoia has lived here for 34 years gardening farming and tending the land using organic and permaculture methods. Her latest venture is raising a small flock of Gotland sheep.Learn more about this land: I have a campsite in the woods close to my pond At the pond you may see ducks, swallows, kingfishers, herons and many other visitors. I even had some otters the other day. It's very quiet and peaceful here. There is a row boat available for rowing around. Although the pond isn't as full in the summer as in the winter, you can still dive off the bank on the deep side. Depending on the season, some fruits and vegetables will be available for purchase. Small campfires are allowed as long as there isn't a burn ban on which is common in the late summer months. I will have some fire wood available for sale. You may visit the sheep through the fence but are not allowed to go through any gates. I will be happy to give a short visit for petting and learning about the sheep for a fee of $10 if I am able to arrange a time for that. This year I have 8 adorable lambs. The beach is at the end of the road. Guemes Island has lots of beachcombing. Guemes "mountain" has nice hiking trail with a dramatic view from the top when the weather is clear. The Guemes ferry leaves from 6th St and I st. in Anacortes and ruins frequently during the day. The schedule and fares can be found on the Skagit county website.

You'll find this park conveniently located just off of Scenic Highway 112, by the beautiful Elwha River Canyon and the former Lower Elwha Dam site.
