Huge old century-old cedar stumps litter the surrounding woods and you'll see where loggers in the early 1900's cut into the sides to place their springboards. The trees surrounding the property today are mostly fir and alder. The 16'x20' cabin sits tucked back against the forest, looking out with territorial forest and mountain views of the Cascades. Outside you'll find a firepit with chairs and a picnic table for your enjoyment. Off to the side you'll also find our tidy and clean-smelling outhouse. Inside the cabin you'll be surprised at the roominess and open feel given the cabin's dimensions. A counter with sink hides all of your plates, utensils, pots and pans. An L-shaped dining nook seats 3 comfortably. Across the room you'll find wonderful wood-stove for those chilly nights, and a sofa to relax on. A wide ladder leads up to the sleeping loft where you'll find a double -sized (full) futon bed tucked under the window looking out toward the mountains. Given the cabin's size, it is best-suited for couples. There is a nice flat tent-site at the cabin as well. Maximum occupancy is 3 guests at the property at any time. Please note, this is an OFF-GRID cabin with NO ELECTRICITY or RUNNING WATER. You're welcome to bring a portable generator to plug into our lighting system. In the Spring/Summer we have a rain barrel that may provide limited water to the sink for washing only, NOT for drinking. *SEPTEMBER 2025 UPDATE* The neighbor and his camp mentioned in some of the reviews this summer has packed up and moved on, along with his dogs. The property is back to its quiet, private, and welcoming environment.

The Gem is a beautiful tiny home in a cozy setting in the woods. It has a semi private drive. Hiking trails through the woods, with a glimpse of Church mountain out the door and just a jaunt to Cornell creek. Bodigers bond across the street and the Mt. Baker/Snoqualamie national forest right out your front door. It's a 1/4 mile from Glacier, Wa and 17 miles from the Mt. Baker ski area. Please note, this cabin accommodates 3 people. I will allow 5 but there is not beds for 5 people. 2 people are welcome to sleep in a tent under the poll barn. There is an additional charge for the 2 extra people. We don't allow dogs in the Gem at this time. Feel free to check out our other cabins on the same property. The Nook and The LTC both allow dogs.

Stay in our beautiful, serene glamping site on a real working alpaca farm. Our wooded site is located just a short walk from the alpaca pastures where you can watch the alpacas play. Just a 45 minute drive from Seattle in the lovely Snoqualmie Valley with all it has to offer. Attend a concert at Remlnger Farms (just a 1 mile walk on the Snoqualmie Valley Trail) or one of the other concert venues like Miller's or Carnation Farms. Enjoy wine tasting at one of several area wineries, or have a beer at either of the two local breweries. Other activities nearby include floating the Snoqualmie River at Fall City Floating, lavender picking, a round of golf at the Blue Heron Golf Course or Twin Rivers Golf. So many choices you'll want to stay for more than one night!

We loved this cabin! Very sweet and cozy. As the description mentions, it is off grid, so must be prepared with water and cooking supplies. Josh was responsive and accommodated our stay the day of. We liked listening to the rain on the roof and watching it through the skylight. It is conveniently located off route 2 and wasn’t too difficult to find with Josh’s description. Would recommend!

We had a wonderful time at the Cascade Rose Alpaca Farm! Shari was an extremely accommodating host, and made us feel at home in our campsite nestled away behind the farm. We stayed the night after a concert at Remlinger Farms, which is a quick 20-30min walk along the Snoqualmie Valley Trail. We'll definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Cascade Rose Alpaca Farm Stay

My gut wants me to keep this magical place a secret. I'm afraid if word gets out, I'll never get to stay here again. But also, Shari and her family are all so welcoming and helpful, so I definitely want to boost their business. This spot is about a mile walk down a straight and flat trail to Remlinger Farm, and the perfect crash pad after one of their summer concerts. It is also the perfect compromise for anyone who doesn't really like camping, but loves the outdoors and hates parking traffic. Everything is set up for you, and everything is very comfortable and cozy. The alpacas are so funny and cute (but be careful, they spit!), and we loved the friendly farm doggies Colt and Rutger. (They were friendly but also good guard dogs, barking at us when we came back from the concert after dark!) We got to see a 36-hour old baby alpaca! And also some goats, who weren't all that interested in us. This place is wonderful and magical but I don't recommend you book this place until the last minute... but for selfish reasons. I want first dibs. Hot tip: being a small flashlight for the walk back, and keep an ear and eye out on that walk for passing bikes (step to the right, they'll pass on the left!)

This is a great campsite. It's fairly private, the toilet was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we stayed warm overnight. It was great to walk back to camp after a local concert and not have to deal with driving/waiting in the chaos to get home. The alpacas were cute, and the dogs were friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

The site was nicely tucked away from the rest of the properties nearby with a tent on a platform along with garbage cans and a table and chairs and a fire pit— and a porta potty nearby without being too close for comfort. Shari was an excellent host for our group! And the alpacas are cool to see!

This place was a great find! My daughter and I were so happy with our stay here. Everything was very clean when we arrived. The little kitchenette was perfect for our needs, and we enjoyed several simple meals. The bathroom is tiny but completely functional. There is only about 4-5 minutes of hot water for showering, but that’s enough if you know about it ahead. The location is terrific, close to beautiful trails and a slightly longer drive to Mt Baker. The host provided great instructions—definitely screenshot them as she suggests because there is no cell phone service in the area. We couldn’t figure out the animal-proof trashcan, unfortunately, felt bad about that because we had to rush out to make our boat on the last day. This place had everything we needed, and we’d love to visit again!

1 night at Cascade Rose Alpaca Farm Stay

Our time at Cascade Rose Alpaca Farm was nothing short of fabulous. Prior to checking in, we booked a tour of the farm and met the crew of nearly 100 alpacas. These guys are so clearly loved, with their owners knowing them all by name and calling on their mannerisms. I booked this cute weekend stay last Christmas as a gift for a friend. There were three of us and a pup on site. We all felt accommodated and incredibly blissful at the cute campsite. The site is adorable and private, tucked on the back with many glamping elements such as a trash station, gorgeous firepit, hammock, outdoor hutch with water, and the CLEANEST outhouse I have ever seen. There is plenty of room on site to pitch at least two tents. I had one pitched and felt a lot of privacy from the glamping tent, despite not being too far away! Everyone on site is incredibly helpful with directions to the site, and I highly recommend booking your stay in sync with their farm’s hours so you can book a tour and enjoy the alpacas for a bit. You are just tucked away from Hwy 203, which connects you to Carnation and Fall City, so there are many places to eat, hike, and even float nearby for extra fun. Thank you, Shari and crew, for such a lovely stay!

Great little getaway. We had a good time just relaxing. Quick thing to note if you’re bringing a dog is that the neighbors had dogs in kennels within eye site of the cabin, so make sure your dogs are either well trained or leashed!
