We also have beautiful peacocks on the property. We are a working farm so expect to see tractors and you may even see us baling hay or tending to the cattle. You may smell some animal smells which we work at keeping to a minimum but again, we are a working farm. It’s a true farm experience. Also, please keep in mind that during warm weather you may encounter some bugs. Gnats and flies are always a possibility and of course at times they can be worse than others. That can always be a possibility when camping or being outdoors. Bring bug spray, citronella and anything else to help with insects. If you stay by the pond you may hear frogs which personally I enjoy hearing but some may not. Consider bringing a generator and run a fan if you think the sound might bother you or some way to block sounds. We enjoy talking to our guests so feel free to stop us for a chat. At the RV sites you have 30 and 50 amp power as well as water. All the water spickets are potable and drinkable. Please be aware that some may not have great cell service and as noted in the amenity section we do not have WiFi at any of the sites yet. It is something we are looking into for the future. Peaceful camping with privacy on a 160-acre historic farm! Minutes from Harpers Ferry, Antietam Battlefield and the C&O Canal to name a few. We are within an hour of Gettysburg and within an hour and a half of DC if you're planning a day trip. We have a prime central location with close access to so many things to do. This beautiful property is nestled in a valley between Elk Ridge and South Mountain with incredible sunrises, sunsets and starlit night skies. Walk out to the fishing pond, or follow the trails around the pastures to meet the cattle grazing. We have Scottish Highlands and Black Angus grazing as well as Alpacas. We also have beautiful peacocks on the property. We are a working farm so expect to see tractors and you may even see us baling hay or tending to the cattle. You may smell some animal smells which we work at keeping to a minimum but again, we are a working farm. It’s a true farm experience. Also, please keep in mind that during warm weather you may encounter some bugs. Gnats and flies are always a possibility and of course at times they can be worse than others. That can always be a possibility when camping or being outdoors. Bring bug spray, citronella and anything else to help with insects. If you stay by the pond you may hear frogs which personally I enjoy hearing but some may not. Consider bringing a generator and run a fan if you think the sound might bother you or some way to block sounds. We enjoy talking to our guests so feel free to stop us for a chat. At the RV sites you have 30 and 50 amp power as well as water. All the water spickets are potable and drinkable. Please be aware that some may not have great cell service and as noted in the amenity section we do not have WiFi at any of the sites yet. It is something we are looking into for the future. If something is urgent you should be able to pick up WiFi near the tenant house and a password can be provided for you to try.

Weekend Trip to Shenandoah Valley MTN

My friend and I brought our pups up here for a night and can’t recommend it enough. The site is private, close to a few wineries/breweries, and has great views. Be sure to follow the 4WD guidance - we didn’t have to use it but I can see how rain a day or two before could make for an interesting drive up. The leaves this time of year also made it a bit slick. Overall, the campsite was exactly what we were hoping for and we’ll be back if camping in the area again!

Weekend Trip to The Bluffs at Cedar Creek

A group of four of us stayed at this campsite over the past weekend and had such a wonderful experience! The entire area was clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The porta-potties were pretty clean, and there were a good number of them stationed out by the front. Firewood was delivered to us by Levi's daughter which was a nice touch. When she wasn't around, we could easily grab a crate of firewood ourselves near the front and pay by Venmo or cash. The firepit that we had at our campsite was great, tall and had great air flow holes at the bottom and a metal grate we could use for cooking. The provided picnic table was nice and very wide. The campsite felt peaceful when we were sitting by the fire at night. The river near our campsite had a good amount of activity with people coming to fish for trout (which the owner stocks with plenty) which means we didn't have complete privacy during the day. However, our campsite's overall atmosphere made it easy to unwind and enjoy nature. I would absolutely recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a relaxing, enjoyable outdoor escape. The location is perfect, only about an hour drive from Centreville, VA which makes the camping experience so much better we didn't have to drive far to experience some wonderful outdoors. Lots of sites to see in the area with hiking so we'll definitely be back to do more activities.

Weekend Trip to South River Farm

This camp sote was perfect for the colder fall weather. Not too much other campers, so we nearly had the place to ourselves. Yurt was the best feature, in my opinion. We got some rain both mornings and did not have to worry a bit. Got there late and were relieved we didn't have to set up tent and such. Campsite was nice with some easy water access you could rinse kitchenware off and even bath I can imagine during hot, humid summer months. Took a pair of waders just to fool around and discovered the creek bed to be relatively shallow. Take that as you wish with whatever activity you wish to pursue. Firepit was also decent, you could have a nice manageable fire. The only thing I would say that I would change different but cannot for obvious reasons is the train by the river. Pretty loud. Owner can't help it either, so he's at no fault. Other than that this is a great site.

This site is named after the wooden table it has bear claw marks on it from one of our local black bears who visit occasionally.

My husband, myself, our kids and grandkids all met up at this amazing farm just overnight for a wonderful and rare campfire get together, but wished we had stayed longer. The grandkids loved all the animals but especially Zeus, the big, super sweet dog of the property! The expansive property accommodates RVs well with plenty of space to be private yet camp amongst the animals. Our camp host greeted us, got us set up with power, and told us all about the workings of the farm and all that was available to us on the property. These extras that you don’t normally get at most Hipcamp properties was really cool! A barn with a restroom and gathering area where chili was available the night we were there along with many homemade and local goodies like shortbread cookies, honey, dried lavender sachets and produce for purchase. We happily donated a small amount toward taking care of the rescued animals on the farm. A couple of our kids and their families live in the area so we will definitely be back! Thanks Juanita it was a pleasure!!

The campsite was great for what we needed. Our dog enjoyed walking around the site and meeting the friendly horses. We're very low maintenance so it was a good match for our stay. The stars are super pretty at nighttime and the area is quiet enough to enjoy the camp. The locals were friendly and we felt very safe being here.

Graham's land was beautiful! The site was well maintained, flat and an even space for our truck camping. There was a nice picnic table at each site with a fire box and grate to cook on, all stocked with firewood and even kindling to get started. The river wraps around the sites with giant rocks and a steap forest incline opposite of the site. The hosts were incredibly kind and went far out of their way to help us out. The river was very refreshing (it froze last night) but we still enjoyed the semi polar plunge. It'll be a perfect summer spot with a sandy beach and great rocks to jump off into the water.

Overall a decent stay. The staff at the brewery were confused about check in but we got it sorted out. It was in the colder season so we had a lot of privacy which was really nice. We enjoyed the ability to hang at the brewery/vineyard with other campers and we appreciated bathrooms available after hours. The butter beer and white wine hot apple cider were just what we needed that chilly night. Would stay again but my only complaint was it was hard to find a flat spot to set up. We found a decently flat spot but since we were sleeping directly on a mat on the ground we were shifting/sliding all night- prob would’ve been fine for a RV camper though.

This was a perfect camp site!! Went with my family & took our two dogs. The dogs had a blast, plenty of space while still having some fencing around to keep them from being too crazy. It was private and the stars were great. Host was wonderful, everything was easy to find, and the bathroom was clean. It was daddy long legs galore but personally if i had to pick one bug to see a bunch it would be them. Harmless and on items more than people. Overall a great trip!!

We tent-camped at Peaceful Pond for the second year in a row with my two sons (14 and 11) and our dog, and it was exactly the reset we needed. We’re from right outside DC, so the quiet out here felt almost unreal. Aside from the occasional cow mooing or dog barking , it was just us and the farm. The best part was the simple stuff: morning coffee by the pond, hanging around the fire, making s’mores, and having the kind of deeper conversations you only get when everyone’s finally off their screens. It’s the kind of place that slows you down without trying. Highly recommend for anyone looking for calm, space, and an easy, comfortable spot to camp.

Rented 4 days there but I left the next day because outsider tent me and my friend heard a bear roar but it was a great bonding experience. 10 out of 10 would recommend I'd give that bear a high five. But on a serious note, this place is very rugged be ready because there are bears out there
