The Lakeside Mountain Stream site gives you the option to camp on our 5-acre lake, or camp in Creekside Cedar sites in shade along the banks of Passage Creek, just a very short walk to the lake. The property has 1/2mi of Passage Creek running adjacent to the campsites, as well as, the lake to enjoy. The Creekside Cedar sites are located within a sparse, groomed, Cedar grove along the banks of Passage Creek. These sites are extra large and can accommodate multiple family groups. This Lakeside Mountain Stream site is very secluded, overlooking our 5-acre lake and mountain views in the background. This site also has its own dock and is just a short walk to Passage Creek. An additional seasonal mountain stream cascades behind the site and feeds the lake. Locally, the North end of Fort Valley offers many great hiking trails, trout fishing, rock climbing, horseback riding, and the Elizabeth Furnace day-use park. Taskers Gap OHV/ATV park is a short drive south, and the valley is sandwiched between both forks of the Shenandoah River for those looking to paddle. Mid September is when the PawPaw's are ripe and readily falling from the trees, booking during these times grants you access to the one of nature's best kept secrets, the Paw Paw fruit. You won't find them in stores but you can graze for them here. They make a delicious second breakfast Come enjoy. I'm always in the process of making and clearing more campsites around the property. For anyone interested in earning a little extra stay time please ask about helping me clear and working for some compensated time. Lots of local cuisine and pubs. Flea markets and BBQ on the roadside and for those who dare the casino and horse racing!!!... Each site has a picnic table, firepit and pavilion canopies for creature comfort. We do have firewood available along with boat rentals. All boat rentals and firewood are cash only. Please limit glass containers. We no longer allow outside firewood coming in as we have had guests bring pressure treated wood and all sorts of junk wood and the next guests are trying to cook over nasty residues on the sides of the firepits. Some say on a cold, moonlit night, they’ve seen his two old mules, pulling an old car frame past Camp Cedar Creek.
