Each campsite includes 3 level spots to pitch tents (see dimensions below), and a connected space to park one car, van or small trailer. The large parking space can be used as a fourth tent footprint if needed. There are additional parking spaces. Each site has a fire pit (with firewood on site), a grate to grill over the fire, a picnic table, and a hammock. There is a shared outbuilding with a composting toilet, hand washing sink, outdoor shower (solar warmed), and space to change privately. Do yourself a favor and book this site! We loved every moment of our stay on Rod’s ‘oasis’. The views were stunning, the atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, and we even got to leave with some fresh blue crabs from the local watermen - such a cool experience. Rod was wonderfully welcoming and knowledgeable about the area, and we learned some fascinating facts about the local culture. Thank you, Rod, for an amazing stay!

Roderick was super kind. He let me move to the spot with the best morning sunrise view, made sure I knew where the fire pit was and left the light on in the outside portal potty. He stood around for a moment to answer all my questions about his site, made me feel very comfortable. What a wonderful place to wake up, the sunrise was absolutely stunning.

This is a gem of a spot! You feel like you're in the woods AND you're so close to all the Richmond action. The composting toilet and bathroom were very comfortable. The creek is gorgeous. Had everything we needed! Will definitely stay again.

We loved it here what an amazing experience watching the boats come in after a day of crabing. The sun rise and sunsets are spectacular and the host are wonderful people . Totally enjoyed the spot and can't wait to come back.

Wonderful campsite! Peaceful and nature-ific; such a delight right in the city. Loved the included wood on site and hammock. Absolutely recommend and would come back. Note that the city noises at night (which host is transparent about) are real; there are trains with blaring horns every night several times, so just bring your ear plugs. There are also coyotes, abundant birdsong and the babbling creek to listen to :)

Beautiful trails and streams to say the least. While yes, you definitely know your in the city. The host do a great job with the site. Restroom is clean and fire wood+ supply’s were all readily available to use. The hiking trails are right there to explore and good for beginners and intermediate hikers.

This is a wonderful location tucked away in the city. A hidden gem. Everything is provided for you to include a bathroom and showers and a lot of firewood. Campsite E was very big and had many places to pitch a tent. We chose to car camp, but was still very close to the campsite itself. It has a play ground for children and a privacy fence to block you from the other campsite. The hammock is a nice touch, plenty of tables and chairs. Watching the sunrise over the creek in the morning was amazing.

Large, very private spot. Lots of well kept trails to explore around the camp. My dog really enjoyed our walkabouts. The site was clean and well maintained. Grass covered the entire camp area which would make it totally fine even if the weather turned rainy. You can hear the highway and train but they were not bothersome at all. I would/will stay here again.

Our last Camper got some really nice pics on Leoni Island 🏝🔥
