It passed through the hands of various local farmers during the 19th & 20th centuries, and for many years was a dairy farm. Two of our cabins are off grid — no electric and no plumbing but with alternative water and light. The third and newest enjoys electric. While there is no "running" water, we bring you fresh spring water. And while there is no electric in 2 cabins we make up for it with solar and battery lights and fans. We also offer a propane heater in all 3 to keep you toasty in cooler weather. Both off-grid cabins are equipped with a comfy, luxury queen-sized bed and box spring with fresh linens and plenty of pillows, a chair, and tables. The cabins are approximately 12x14 of interior living space plus a semi covered 16’ x 8’ deck with chairs and table. The original cabin is slightly smaller interior than the lower cabin. The newest third cabin is called the Boxwood Overlook Cabin, because it is surrounded by huge boxwoods and overlooks the entire property. It sits where the original main house was located, but burned down in the 1920's. It is more luxurious that the other 2. It's 12x20, includes an organic queen bed, refrigerator, reclining chairs, interior and exterior lights. And you can drive right to the front door. Each cabin gets a propane heater which keeps you toasty even on the coldest winter nights. In warmer months, the 2 off-grid cabins have battery-powered fans with plenty of industrial batteries. They also enjoys plenty of solar powered torch lamps which offer a terrific ambiance. We do recommend you bring flashlights and or headlamps. If you forget, no worries, we got you covered. The Boxwood Overlook cabin has electricity with interior and exterior lights, refrigerator and AC in the summer. All the cabins enjoy 5-gallon containers of fresh spring water and their own private Loo House/bathroom. The Loo Houses or bathrooms are semi open air. They have roofs, a solar bag shower, and bedside commodes with large, disposable, biodegradable bag inside with special sand that solidifies your waste. You dispose of the bag at a nearby trash box off property, just like a diaper. Extra bags are available. Each cabin has its own fire pit and grill with everything you need to make a fire, including split wood, kindling, newspaper and lighter. Firewood is $7.50 per crate. And if you need help starting your fire, no worries, John will help you. The "Jefferson Sea" is a description many attribute to the nation's 4th President, Thomas Jefferson, who enjoyed the same ocean-like view (but better) of fields and trees below his home at Monticello, that is located 15 miles down the road. Enjoy giant Ginkgo trees (especially in the Fall), boxwood gardens, colossal Tulip Poplars, and Osage Orange trees, and wild organic raspberries in July. 4 nights at Camping on the Hazel River

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cabin! I communicated with Peggy through the HipCamp app, and she was very responsive and helpful. When we arrived, Tony met us at the parking area, showed us to the cabin, and took the time to explain how everything worked. He was incredibly kind, accommodating, and genuinely wanted to make sure we had a great experience. The cabin itself was spotless, rustic, and very cozy — exactly what we were hoping for. It has just the right amount of amenities: a small fridge, microwave, toaster oven, running water, and just enough hot water for a quick shower. The outdoor shower was one of our favorite parts — it felt peaceful and refreshing every time we used it. Before our trip, we asked if there was a way to cook outside, and Tony went above and beyond. He actually built a wonderful fire pit setup designed for cooking, which we used every day. It was such a fun and memorable part of our stay, and Tony even provided all the firewood we could possibly need. The property is beautiful, well maintained, and surrounded by about one to two miles of lovely hiking trails. It was quiet, private, and felt like our own little hideaway in nature. Tony gave us plenty of space while still being available if we needed anything. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience — highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a cozy, peaceful escape!

Large, very private spot. Lots of well kept trails to explore around the camp. My dog really enjoyed our walkabouts. The site was clean and well maintained. Grass covered the entire camp area which would make it totally fine even if the weather turned rainy. You can hear the highway and train but they were not bothersome at all. I would/will stay here again.

when it comes to camping with kids i try to find places that can entertain them the whole time and this site met the expectations! the farm was so cute and lovely, the kids loved being able to play on the playground and were obsessed with all the animals which were all super friendly (especially the cats). the site feels far away from everything, but a grocery store is less than 10 min away. the hosts and her children were all very friendly and helpful. Apryl was attentive to any of our needs we really enjoyed our stay. i definitely recommend this site for children/ families!

this spot is spotless and perfectly tucked away, you’ll feel like you’ve got the whole place to yourself. A few peaceful trails wind through the area, ideal for quiet walks or morning coffee strolls. If you don’t mind the occasional train rolling by, it actually adds to the charm — great spot to kick back by the fire and enjoy the view.

Tent camping at Two Rivers was a great time for us and our dog! Kari gave clear and helpful instructions for getting to and navigating the property. Its such a beautiful place, especially in the fall. The camp stove at site 1 made cooking over the fire easy and fun. I appreciate the raised shelter built at the site, it provides great protection from falling hickory nuts. The campsites are far enough away from each other to be able to get some privacy. Super clean porta potty too! This site puts you in proximity of some awesome parks and hiking spots as well. This place is a gem!

Great campsite, easy to communicate with, beautiful location. Near train track (far enough way so not a worry with kids), so you hear it every now and then, but didn't bother. Good little exploration trails for kids. Overall 10/10, would come back.

3 nights at Lovers Lane Farm Stay

My family and I really enjoyed our stay on the farm. We were trying to book a last minute camping trip. There were no tent sites available but Apryl accommodated our family in another spot on the property, which we felt was actually really awesome ! We loved the farm and camping amongst the animals. It was like nothing we have ever done before. All of the animals are friendly and accustomed to people. The farm cats were the absolute cutest and often followed us around looking to be held and played with. My daughter was able to milk a cow for the first time, and she thought it was so cool. We even got to try the milk right from the cow, such a cool experience ! All of the kids on the farm were very kind and generous. We liked interacting with them and learning their roles on the farm and each of their stories with the farm animals. We learned a lot from the kids. My daughter did not want to leave this place. Hopefully we will get to visit again soon !

This place is amazing. Scenery of this place is great its like you have a whole lake by yourself. The place is private as the other sites are far enough from you. Place is flat so no issues with placing your tent. I suggest bringing a fishing rod and bait. Will definitely coming back. Highly suggested: YOU MUST READ Mr. Juan's direction in the site to avoid being lost.

Great site with rv hookups and a dump station on the way out. Our three large dogs loved walking to the lake. Paths are well signed and Juan was an excellent host. We jumped a few deer out of the corn on our walks. Lots of horses, cows and other dogs in the area add to the atmosphere.
