William Cornelius Vineyard is a 50-acre private working vineyard and farm that includes 6 acres of Vineyard, 15 acres of corn/soybean fields, and 15 acres of forest. Two vintage tobacco barns add rustic charm to the site. A lovely stream flows down cascading rock shelves along one side of the property, and a small pond is located on the other side. You will have the farm to yourself.
There is only one RV site on the property and no other residents, except for the deer and occasional turkey, racoon, squirrels, and birds. From your RV and site you will have an unobstructed view over the vineyard of the sunset and western range of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The Vineyard includes Viognier, Merlot, and Chambourcin grapes. Stony Knoll Winery nearby manages the vineyard and uses the grapes in production of their award-winning varietals. The Viognier won the 2023 Best of Show and Double Gold for the NC Fine Wines Show. Stony Knoll’s Rose, made from our Chambourcin, won the 2022 NC Best Rose.
There are three wineries within a couple of miles, and 20 more wineries within a 30-minute drive. There are 3 must-see / hike state parks within a 40 minute drive: Pilot Mountain, Hanging Rock, and Stone Mountain. The charming town of Mt. Airy (Mayberry RFD from the Andy Griffith Show) and Elkin are within a 20 minute drive. The Yadkin River is only a few miles to the south at the quaint village of Rockford, and is popular for kayaking/tubing, fishing, and swimming. There is a tubing/kayak outfitter located there, along with an old general store with old-time candies, sodas, and a simple grill.

Formerly Meadow Creek Campground, this beautiful property has a small number of camping spots overlooking a meandering tributary of the Little River. Camper sites have 30-amp/50-amp, water and sewer hookup. Tent sites are primitive, but guests can access water and electricity at the picnic shelter. A portable outhouse is nearby. Picnic table provided in each spot. Location is central to Radford, Floyd and Christiansburg.
You will need to drive through a grassy area to reach the sites. While the sites are located on fairly flat ground, leveling will be required.
We do NOT recommend following GPS if you are driving a Class A RV, pulling a Fifth Wheel, or pulling a travel trailer over 18 feet long. Recommended directions will be shared prior to your visit.

We have traced this farm's history back to the 1750's when a mill was built on Reed Creek. There is a log home that we know that was built in 1840 still on the premises. The white farm house across from the camp sites was built in 1877.
The fish hatchery that is still in operation today was built by the Federal Government in 1923.

The farm house was built in 1877 and the Ranch currently operates with 30 head of cattle and a working trout hatchery. We have traced this farm lineage back to the 1750's when a mill was constructed at the meeting of Tate Run and Reed Creek by Swiss Immigrant Henry Grubb.
Camping here along Reed Creek is peaceful and quiet. Located just a few short miles from town it is easy to get to ...but a long way from the world at large. In Short, it is lovely and we hope you enjoy it.

This was just what we needed during a long drive. Site is private (There are 2 but no one was in the other... even so, still lots of space between the sites.) Our dog LOVED playing in the creek and exploring, not too far off the highway, port-o-potty was big and clean. Definitely recommend!!!

We try to stay at only hipcamp listings because we feel like camping is our way to relax and larger campgrounds you end up sitting outside staring at 5+ campers. One of our favorite campsite yet. It's at the end of a field along the tree line for perfect shade along the creek. Secluded and very private. If the other site had been occupied you'd be neighbors bc you'd definitely see each other even though they're probably 100 yards away. Wouldn't affect your trip though even if someone was there bc there's so much room. Porta John is in the middle of the field so not a bother to either site.

This is our 3rd trip to this fabulous location (see other reviews of Bent Creek). This place is very special to us, as its perfect for a quick get away, and you're so close to anything you may want/need to do. The host are top notch and feel almost like family to us now! I'd recommend this location to anyone...except when I wanna be there!!! Thanks again for all the care Hannah and Doug! Hope to be back soon!

Fabulous, peaceful, well-maintained site. Great communication. After a few long days driving it was just wonderful to let the dogs out to play, sling a hammock, and just relax a couple of days. There's a gas grill, which we didn't use, and a wheelchair-accessible porta potty, which we did :-). Would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay! Easy access off of a secondary road. This is a full RV hookup and everything is very convienent. Doug met us (with fresh baked cookies!) after we had everything set up. He is a wealth of information on the area due to his family being on this land for more than 200 years. Very quiet and peaceful. Close by to a lot of activities. Check out historic town of Rockford and areas vineyards . We did tastings at Stony Knoll and Haze Gray vineyards and had dinner outside on the patio at the Harvest Grill at Shelton Vineyards.
We could not be happier with our stay and first time using Hipcamp.
Definitely will be returning to Bent Creek Farm!

We had a great stay at Dry Creek.
We gotta into our site just before dark and were given a quick tour, offered water and lighting to make our setup smoother. It was greatly appreciated.
We parked our van at one of the sites and found it quite easy to locate a level surface. When we woke up in the morning we saw a family of 5 or 6 deer down by the creek.
The location is beautiful and the hospitality warm.
