Our property was a small family farm for several generations. Our family purchased the property about 18 years ago. Since we are not farmers but love living here, the question became "What would be the best use for the land?" Living in a scenic area and already being in the vacation rental business on some other family property answered the question. We decided to share the beautiful view and seclusion of our area with others. Our goal was to keep the cost of building down so that we could pass on the savings to you so that you would not have to be rich to enjoy our lovely area. This inspired the idea of a glamping cabin. The cabin is actually a repurposed office building that was built about the time this property was purchased by our family. We moved it to the present location and completely remodelled it in 2018 and added the bathroom. For 4 years, guests enjoyed an off-the-grid experience. In 2023, when we began work on the glamping dome (stay tuned--coming soon!!), we decided to add electricity, running water, and a hot tub to the tiny house! We hope you enjoy the cabin (and, soon, the dome) and the stunning view from them as much as we enjoy sharing this beautiful spot with you! Note: The Charming Glamping Cabin is at a totally different property. That property also has a section that used to be farmed. Now a lot of it is forest. We purchased the property around 2000. This cabin was built approx. 10 years later. At that point, the cabin was a tiny economy cabin with a sofa bed. However, it seemed most folks preferred comfort over economy, so in 2020, we added a bump-out to the side of the cabin so there would be room for a queen bed. Guests have loved the improvement. Our enclosed shower stalls are there for a reason: shower, dry off, then get dressed before rejoining the great outdoors. • “It was in somebody’s backyard.” Sorry — our two acres aren’t tucked away in the middle of a federally protected reserve in the middle of nowhere. But our closest neighbor is nearly 300 feet away, and we happen to think riverside camping with a little civilization nearby is a pretty great trade-off. ⸻ If those realities feel unacceptable, we wish you luck finding a soundproof, neighbor-free, bird-mute utopia. But if you’re after a laid-back, laughter-filled, and unapologetically outdoor getaway on the banks of the South River — welcome. You’ve found it. Don’t forget your robe.

I’m so happy I found this place! The tent was clean and very comfortable, and the private composting toilet was a huge plus. This was the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy the scenery. Also near some awesome, pet-friendly local breweries- specifically Bald Top and Blue Quartz. Host was super friendly and accommodating, but also gave us our privacy. Highly recommend!

This is what your wife means when she says she wants to go “camping”. enough roughage, but with the comfort of a queen bed and hot running water. although the streets did have traffic it wasn’t a deal breaker for us & we are already looking at coming back! just get past the fear people can see you bc they can’t it’s just the scary movies you grew up watching haunting you. Brought canned goods and hot dogs that we were able to make in the fire there! Napped in the hammock, but we didn’t get in the river but you can! ALSO boats do float the river so keep in mind when keeping the tent open …if you know what i mean. food near: Lil Guses 9/10, Bonobos bakery 1000/10 trails with swimming holes & water falls- The Blue Hole & South River Falls.

Glamping here was incredible! We picked one of the yurts to stay in for our last few days in Virginia and it was delightful. Very clean and professionally kept. My bestest bud, Diesel (9 ye old Rottie) and I had the BEST stay here. We had to book same day due to an issue with another site, Kim and Bobby were so accommodating. The bus is so beautifully done and blew away any expectations that I had... so incredibly welldone.. that we didn't want to leave. They have most anything you could possibly need (you just need your own cooking supplies.. they have a grill and a stove inside)! They were also very receptive to suggestions. We absolutely recommend this spot for a comfortable and easy stay. We would undoubtedly stay again!!

Our yurt was perfect for my gang, the location right on the water was so perfect. We tubed down the river and hung out around the firepit and just chilled. Bathhouse was very clean and we were thankful there was ice available right on the property. Annette was easy to communicate with and quick with responses. We plan to come back soon.

Great location on the river and only 10 minutes to Front Royal. The showers are new, clean, and hot. The yurt was comfortable and had everything we needed for a night. We had yurt A that was at the end of the group and angled down river making it a bit more private. All campers were quiet at night and considerate. I'd stay there again.

We enjoyed the most lovely two nights here at the Camp! Our cabin was spotless, our hosts were so helpful and informative about the land around us and the nearby attractions including excellent places to eat. We travelled with our youngest who’s 13 and he was so excited to unplug and experience the farm. We never found the Big Foot but such a cute challenge at the onsite arcade that my husband and son played for a few hours there. Thank you so much for everything! Cannot wait to visit again soon!

The area is quiet and campsite is far enough from other campsite that you still have plenty of privacy. The scenery was idyllic and a great respite to end our long weekend. Instructions on how to get there were clear and check-in was simple.

Loved camping there, great tents and amenities, remote feeling despite nearby breweries, wineries and small towns. Great host who checked in and provided some nice morning coffee our last day. Will definitely come back and recommend!

I’ve been back 4 times and plan to keep returning! We had a great weekend even with tons of rain. Jud is incredibly hospitable and welcoming and the grounds are beautiful!
