Rustic and Comfortable Cabins. No power lines cross our property. We have no blaring screens to distract us from the sound of the wind in the leaves or to call us back to the whirl of modern life. But that does not mean we are without any comforts.
Each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, hot and cold running spring water, indoor bathroom, and overhead LP gas lamps. Nestled in the forest at meadow's edge, Cold Spring Cabin has an outdoor shower and indoor tub. Perched on a hill near the Farm Pond, Ripley Hill Cabin has an indoor shower and tub.
The cabins are rustic, but clean and airy. The luxuries at Forest Echo Farm are not inside the cabins; they are found in the light that fills the forest in late afternoon, the silence of an evening canoe and the moonlit sparkle of dewdrops at midnight. Forest Echo Farm includes 360 acres, extensive shore to a 26-acre protected pond, numerous trails, and half a mountain.
The Farm Pond offers a refreshing ‘dip’ to cool off. A hike from each cabin leads to Tiny Pond, an unspoiled lake where canoe, kayak and raft are available for shared use. Hiking trails are on the property. In addition to local trails, the Long Trail and Appalachian Trail are nearby.
The surrounding area is chock full of restaurants, antique stores, country stores, bakeries, farm stands, farmers markets, general shopping, historic sites, hiking, swimming holes and scenic drives.

Tucked at the end of a quiet dirt road on 7 acres overlooking the Green Mountains, The Hip Shack is a cozy, private little cabin made for slowing down.
Inside you'll find a full-size bed, wood stove, table and chairs, keyless entry, and a hammock. Outside, enjoy your own fire pit/grill, plus access to our pond, gardens, hammock areas, communal fire pit, outdoor kitchen, shower and composting toilet.

You're welcome to wander our gardens, visit the chickens, explore the greenhouse and enjoy the pond. Depending on the season, our Saturday farm stand offers fresh eggs, jams, jellies, pesto and other homemade goodies.
Just 2 miles down the road is the Belmont General Store, a local favorite and home to a seriously good chai latte.
Good to Know
The Hip Shack is a short walk from the parking area. We have wagons available to help with your gear, and kid-sized helpers may occasionally be available too!
The outdoor shower uses our potable well water and can be filled with hot water from the faucet by the garage. The composting toilet and outdoor kitchen are shared amenities.
Come for the mountains, stay for the fire, the pond, the gardens and the tiny cabin.

This off-the-grid homestead sits on a quiet dirt road just outside the quaint village of Chester. Spread across 28 acres, the property features streams and trails to explore.
The 8' x 14' Studio, complete with an accessible entry ramp, offers an elevated porch overlooking the garden. The cabin sits on 10 acres of land was once owned by the infamous Rockefeller and is in the heart of the Vermont Green Mountains. A former farm now a 150 acre forested retreat. Mt Ascutney, a 3500' monadnock is to the north and view in excess of 60 miles to the south.
We are dog friendly but request ALL dogs be on leash when near our house. We have chickens that are some times loose. If your dog should kill or injure one of the chickens plan on a discussion of the value of a pullet.

Firewood for the outside fire pit is available under extras.
However if it has rained or raining you may want to bring kindling wood.
We now have slab wood for sale if you do not want to rummage for wood in the forest

Sweet Song Acres is 100+ acres of secluded forest nestled along the Little Sugar River, at the base of Perry Mountain.
Located in rural Unity, NH and Charlestown, NH, just across the Vermont state line. Southernmost point, located in Charlestown is one of two campsites. The other is Shady Grove, located in Unity.
The two sites, located in bordering towns share the same entrance and are connected by a 1/4 mile trail. Both are very large sites. Campers would drive to both sites down a trail so we highly recommend a vehicle with decent clearance and 4WD or AWD. Southernmost Point is a fully drive-in site. Shady Grove campers park above the site and the campsite is down a short path, just a few hundred feet or so.
The property consists of varied terrain of rock ledges, lush moss, streams, and panoramic views at the summit. There are many options of local outdoor activities in the area or if you prefer, just sit and "listen to the river sing sweet songs to rock your soul".

My home is the original Diers Homestead, established in 1940. It was named The Chicken Ranch in the 1960’s. There aren’t any chickens, but there are many forest creatures that wander out of the Green Mountain National Forest & into the meadow. You may see foxes, deer, moose, large marmots, and lots of different birds including wild turkeys & great blue herons.
Apple trees of many varieties are scattered around. Come eat freely when they fruit! You’ll be camping on a hill with a fire ring nearby. The beautiful sunrises and sunsets are both visible as the meadow is open to the south, east & west.
This is a special place in a perfect location. If you like to explore by foot, there’s a network of private hiking trails and a river to cool off in, both within 1/4 mile from your campsite.
Also easily within walking distance is the village of Rawsonville: Ungrounded Coffee, Meulemans' Craft Draughts, Honeypie, Family Kitchen and Pizzeria, Mountain Riders, Equipe Sport & the Rawsonville Marketplace where you can get basic supplies and fuel.
Speaking of fuel, if you really want to roll your wheels… Stratton Village is 8 minutes by car. Take a gondola ride to the top and check out the fire tower where you can see the entire lower half of Vermont state on a clear day.
The village centers of Jamaica, Londonderry and Peru are also very close by and boast great food and crafts. And there’s always Manchester, if you’re seeking lots of shopping and fine dining.
Horseback riding is a 15 minute drive from the campsite at Horses For Hire in Peru. This is a truly authentic experience. Trail rides for all abilities- even the “pony ride” for the little kids is a trail through the woods. Not to be missed! Also in Peru is Bromley Mountain which, during the summer months, becomes The Thrill Zone featuring a giant alpine slide.
At Bee Well Homestead in Jamaica, there is authentic BBQ, live music and yoga every Sunday morning.
The New American Grill in Londonderry has a wide selection of delicious food and their open mic night on Thursdays feature very talented local musicians.
Even though it’s so close to all these uniquely wonderful people and their businesses, it is really just off a little country road - the best of both worlds!

What an amazing spot! First camping trip with both of our littles. And I think our daughter said it best: "this is where fairy princesses live!"
The dome was very comfortable and the wood stove worked great for cooler evenings (be sure to run a fan to circulate). The fire pit by the river was a wonderfully serene end to the day. There is truly no cell service at the site, but honestly it was so great to fully disconnect for the weekend. I do wish there was a better hot water system for the outdoor shower but that is my only real critique of the space.
Book it, you'll have a magical stay and there's more to discover 🏕️✨

and three I loved this site. The river has a great spot (although water was low) right behind me for hanging out and a dip, and the campsite had a table and two wooden chairs and two lounge chairs. The fire out set up was perfect as well.

We absolutely loved our stay at Dancing Bear Farm! The views were beautiful, and the campsite itself was wonderful. The bathroom was remarkably clean, and the pavilion was the perfect spot to cook and enjoy our meals. The fire pit was an added bonus that we really enjoyed in the evenings. We especially loved walking around the farm and getting to see all the animals. The owners were incredibly friendly and even let us pick some fresh peaches for breakfast! Overall, we had such a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a peaceful and unique stay!

We had such a wonderful stay at Sweet Song Acres! The site was pleasantly much larger than we expected, with plenty of space to pitch multiple tents. This would be a great spot for a large group. The area was beautiful and private. Like some mentioned, there is a road that backs up against the stream, but the cars are infrequent, and I'm sure when water levels are high and the water is rushing, you'd barely notice them. It didn't take away from our stay. The outhouse is extremely clean and convenient. The hike up to the summit has gorgeous views. It is a short, but moderate intensity hike. Chiefy and Tina are great hosts that we saw briefly that gave us great tips on the area! We can't wait to return.

I had a great couple nights on Peter's land. The little river was wonderful to dip in, camp site was well equipped with a table and 4 chairs (2 lounge), fire pit. Bought some firewood from the owner. The land is open to a farm, backed with the woods and the river. Will absolutely go again. Quiet, couldn't hear other campers and the road near by was quiet at night.
