Large screened porches and decks, as well as a small play field and private sandy beach are perfect for groups. Superb swimming, hiking, cycling, fishing, boating, relaxing. Kayaks, canoes, rowboat provided at no charge. All kitchens are fully equipped, and there are many dining choices in Schoon Lake and Ticonderoga. The lake, with its islands, quiet coves, and the river-like inlet, offer many intriguing places to explore. Family owned since 1950, family oriented. The gradually sloping sand beach is safe and delightful for children. You may choose to have a campfire near the beach; SunderLand promotes an informal, friendly atmosphere. Sunderland family members are on site to answer questions and make sure you are comfortable. We are near historic Ticonderoga, and charming Schroon Lake, the Adirondack High Peaks area, Lake George, Lake Champlain, Middlebury and Burlington VT. The possibilities to visit Adirondack sites of interest are endless: river tubing on the Hudson River; visiting the Fort in Ticonderoga; seeing Olympic Village in Lake Placid, climbing any number of High Peaks, shopping or taking a sight-seeing cruise on Lake George, going horseback riding within 15 miles, dining, square dancing, shopping, or enjoying a craft brewery in Schroon Lake. Or have a relaxed time right at SunderLand sitting on a deck or porch, watching the loons or other birds, listening to the wind in the pines, reading a book, taking an afternoon nap. 3 nights at Fall Water Farm

This little cabin was a nice retreat away from home for a few days. Having bedding provided was a nice touch and the bed is very comfortable. The parking is not far from the cabin (maybe 50-100ft) and the driveway was even plowed very shortly after a few inches of snow fell during my stay. There’s a fair amount of yard space available, great for playing in the snow this time of year, and the steam right outside the cabin door is a pretty sight and sound every time you exit. This cabin is also perfect for anyone who doesn’t like dealing with a wood stove to keep warm, instead a gas radiator controlled by a digital thermostat keeps the cabin warm exactly how you like it, a very surprising but much appreciated bonus I found out after arriving. Overall, this cabin was fantastic, warm, and cozy, and I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for somewhat easy cabin camping in the winter.

The host accepted our last minute request on a holiday weekend! Great private spot in open field. Easy communications with host, family friendly and great for dogs. The river is a nice addition for the kids/dog. True to VT, it’s close to nothing, nearest coffee is 20 mins away. Great escape.

Robert was an amazing host and the campsite was serene. Right next to the river, a built in fireplace, private but accessible - I couldn't have asked for more. Robert was so accommodating and gave me a tour of his studio and let me watch some of the glassblowing in action. It's worth going out of your way.

Weekend Trip to La Lu Farm camp site

La Lu Farm is a beautiful property! The Goat Yurt is comfortable and the wood-burning stove makes it very cozy. The yurt is a good base camp for exploring the cute nearby towns and hiking in the Green Mountains. On a cold night, be sure to bring a warm sleeping bag and extra firewood (also, bring toilet paper for the outhouse). My spouse and I had lovely stay and would recommend!

Great spot, especially for fall camping. The fireplace throws off a lot of heat on the cold nights. The camp site was clean and had a solid picnic table. Make sure to look up Robert DuGrenier Glass Art Gallery for your directions, the entrance is between two guard rails right across the street. There's a steep downhill to get into the field. The GPS can send you to a road across the river if you aren't looking for the studio itself. We will definitely be back!

Had an amazing getaway from Boston at Peter’s property. The campsites were private and quiet and all amenities were as described. Each site had a fire ring, picnic table, and a charcoal grill. A clean stream runs along each site. There was enough water in the stream to float on a tube even during a recent drought. My partner and two dogs had a great time and can’t wait to be back. Highly recommended

Conifer Cabin exceeded our expectations. The Cabin itself is very much as described/photographed - you have everything you need to be out of the elements and comfortable but it retains the best parts of camping. What delighted us was the orientation of the cabin relative to Medora’s house and the other HipCamp offering. Although both were within a short walk, we always felt like we had the place to ourselves. Medora was an excellent host.- warm, welcoming and communicative. Vermont put a burn ban in place a couple of days before we arrived. Medora reached out to let us know we couldn’t have the fire pit near the cabin and offered a solution that worked out even better for us.
