This Outpost and campground is located on 300 acres of private property surrounded by park and public land. It has been here for over 30 years in some form or another. We are Caleb & Amber who enjoyed managing this little oasis in the middle of the desert from March to June of 2017 when we decided to purchase the business & make it our own. This is a dry, rugged campground with a bathhouse that provides coin operated showers and flush toilets. In addition there is little old rustic camp store placed in the middle of nowhere where we provide fuel, snacks, firewood, ice, showers, cold drinks & more. If you are looking for a more private site with lots of space and shade, book our Small Group at the Rocks. For a warmer stay during the cooler months book one of our Glamping Tents listed. We have the larger, and spacious tent in the grove of the Juniper Trees (which is also amazing in the warmer season) and rent a heater from us inside the general/camp store. Please check with us on fire restrictions, hipcamp is often wrong on their assumptions, we rarely have fire restrictions. BE SURE TO GIVE YOURSELF PLENTY OF TIME TO CHECK IN NO LATER THAN 5PM. We have a mix of different unique units so there is something for everyone. 3 bell tents, 1 stargazing lotus tent, 1 safari tent, cedar pod, moon stargazing barrel, solar powered casita and an unfurnished high rise tent. We have 22 acres and we are currently using around 5 acres. We like to space out our units so there is privacy at every units. We have a communal kitchen that is equipped to make some gourmet meals. Flat top grill, BBQ Box, pizza oven and a stove. Communal modern bathrooms with hand towels and bath supplies are available. Sauna is available to our guests along with coffee and breakfast delivery. Late check-ins are available. Located on private and rural land 40 mins South of Moab and 40 mins from the entrance of The Needles District of Canyonlands National Park (the hikers paradise park!) Our land borders Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands and State Trust Lands which means you have a panoramic view of the desert landscape and dark skies. We are surrounded by Dark Sky National Parks, State Park, Monuments and communities. Because of this, light population is almost non-existent. We built this place to be an escape or a place to unwind from our busy and loud daily lives. Embrace the break from the daily grind and find space here on the open desert. We opened to our first guests in October 2020 with only 3 bell tents, 1 bathroom and a kitchen inside a tent. Even though we have grown and improved the facilities, we are still a small husband and wife owned and run business. You will see us working and cleaning.

What an amazing place! Beautiful sweeping valley with mountains in the distance. The cabin had ac and power outlets so I could charge my phone and run my neck therapy pillow before bed. Plenty of places to meander and soak in the peacefulness. Oh! And the goats! I made friends with the goats, the cow, the turkey and the roaming chicken. Ellie the farm dog even followed me around asking for belly rubs. She was super sweet. The silo community area with the showers and kitchenette were clean and well stocked- even snacks and essentials to buy! The supplies shed sold bundles of firewood and had some equipment for a great afternoon exploring. I visited in August and the garden and sunflowers were so alive and green. The field the goats were in was lush and vast! Man did they want pets and scratches. Gladly given. So many local recommendations to visit, I’ll have to come back and stay a few days. This is a true retreat to get back to the land and animals, and just reset from the world. The tents looked spacious and decked out too! 10/10 would recommend for group retreat or a solo reset like I did.

Absolutely loved camping on Lynnellen's property! The warmth and welcome that we received was beyond equal, and we truly felt cared for at every moment of our stay. We'll certainly be coming back to enjoy another stay when we come through in the future!

We had a great experience- Lynn is very hospitable and welcoming. Our tent was beautiful, huge, very clean and had thoughtful touches like coffee tables,, extra towels and blankets, fan, AC and more. Also, the bed was very comfy. The view was gorgeous!

What a fantastic place! Great for a pit stop on our road trip. Clean, lots of amenities, and beautiful views. We enjoyed the clean casita they had and wished we could have stayed longer. We’ll hopefully be back!

Weekend Trip to Brigham City KOA - On the Fruit Way

Very cute and clean KOA with an on-site restaurant and all you can eat ice cream for $6 between 7 and 8 PM. There’s a small pool and yard games for the kids. I would definitely go back!

Lynn’s warm welcome and abundant amenities were just what we needed after many an hour of driving. The property is laid out with the perfect mix of shade and playful spaces. Our stay in the Boho tent was a good choice as it allowed us to view a perfect sunset!

Loved this campsite. The close access to Bryce Canyon is worth it! The general store is convenient, but very expensive. I also did not like being super close to the high way and hearing cars all hours of the day.

I loved this RV site! It was a beautiful RV, it was just me so I had PLENTY of room. The mattress was very comfortable and each room was well equipped. It was an awesome location as well, very quiet at night. Would definitely book again

5 nights at Sun Outdoors Canyonlands Gateway

Lovely location and friendly staff! We loved how close we were to Arches, Moab, and various other hikes. The view from the "Mayor" was amazing - which is likely true for the other casitas. It was a peaceful time (4 nights) and we'd surely choose to stay again. Everything was clean and easy. It was great to have a general store for a sundry of random items. The room didn't have a coffee maker or utensils, so we ran out to the dollar store for a few cups, plastic utensils, and a container to boil water for coffee or other "add hot water" meals. Oh! The bed was SO comfortable!
