If you arrive after dark the last bit of road looks more challenging than it actually is due to shadows on the surface caused by the head lights. Units are not heated. Please plan to show up before dark for the best experience and ease of finding the location. Indian Canyon Ranch is proud to be an independent, off grid property with limited solar power and water available. There are no RV hook ups available but there is limited solar power in the rental units and in the communal area but not in the primitive campsites. Campsites are primitive camping only. Showers in the main communal area are solar powered and only hot with the sun and for an hour or so after sunset Joe purchased this property in 2008. At that time, it was 8 acres, and it is now at 20 acres continuous property. The ranch is situated 2 miles off the highway down a bumpy dirt road on the edge of the national forest, this gives you a feeling of being in the wilderness. The south and east sides are boarded by canyons and ruins. All other private properties in the area are 10 acres or more so are well spread out and sparsely populated. All the structures on site were brought here piece by piece and were salvaged from construction projects in Yosemite and Grand Canyon national parks. Water is manually hauled in and the power in the kitchen area is solar generated so please be conscious of water and power use.

Weekend Trip to Capitol Reef RV Park and Glamping

Stayed in #60, an A-framed structure about 200sq/ft with electricity, AC, heat, and windows that view the sky. Site has a picnic table, fire pit, and chairs around the fire. Very comfortable bedding. Beautiful and quiet grounds. Well maintained. Bathrooms and showers are a 10/10. Justin at the store/clubhouse is top notch and a great host with great recommendations to local hikes and restaurants. There is also a cool dog park area that is fenced in and has some fun obstacles for them. All in all this place is awesome and we cannot wait to come back.

Weekend Trip to Capitol Reef RV Park and Glamping

The A-Frame tent, and campgrounds in general, were pristine: clean, nicely appointed, and surrounded by stunning mountain views. We can't recommend this campground highly enough--a much welcomed newcomer to the Capitol Reef area!

Such a beautiful campsite! The tent was beautiful and warm on a chilly night. Loved meeting the horses, goats, and dogs. Carrie Ann was so responsive and welcoming. Wish I could’ve stayed longer and will definitely go back!

What a lovely place to stay! My sister and I brought our two very young kids and they LOVED all the animals and the open space to run around and play. Such beautiful views and easily accessible to hikes and so much more beauty! The kitchenette and bathrooms were well maintained and so appreciated. We were also grateful for the heater that kept us cozy during chilly nights. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay! Great location. We were in room 34 directly across from the restrooms and showers. The room was very comfortable, and the land was beautiful, very spacious and clean. The Mountain view’s were spectacular. We had a fire in the fire pit the night we were there, it was so cozy on a chilly night. Colby was fantastic, very helpful and extremely easy to reach. I would highly recommend Bryce Canton Shadows campground for stay!

What an absolutely beautiful stay!! The cabin itself is so comfortable and clean! The restrooms are a short walk away and there are 10 full private bathrooms with shower, sink and toilet. The store offers snacks and souvenirs as well as ice and firewood. The star gazing here is a AMAZING!!

Weekend Trip to Bryce Canyon Shadows Campground

We stayed in one of the cabins, extremely pleasant, checkin is fully self serve, so late arrival is no issue. The campground is less than 30 minutes from Bryce Canyon National Park, which was our long weekend destination. Every unit has its own firepit in front, and AC (surprisingly, heating was no issue even though nighttime temperatures were down to the 40s, guess the buildings store the daytime heat well). There is an outdoor kitchen with a gas grill and some basic dishes. It's a good idea to bring your own frying pan and maybe plastic utensils, cooking spray, etc, if you want to make sure you have what you need for somewhat more complex projects. Otherwise, you'll have everything you would have in a hotel room, plus the glamping part. There are shower & bathroom stalls, which are roomy, we'll ventilated, and extremely clean, better than most budget hotel showers. Nice touch: free coffee (there is a coffee maker with filters, sugar, and creamer provided, and you'll have to make your own pot). Generally, the place never felt crowded, even though it was labor day weekend.

We had a wonderful time. This was our first time glamping and camping in general. Beautiful well kept property. Tents were super cute and spacious. The weather was perfect and we slept very comfortably at night, no heater needed. Loved the little details with signage and lighting. The kittens and chickens made the stay extra special. Awesome location close to the national parks we went to Canyon Lands and Arches. I would absolutely recommend!

The tent was spacious, bed was comfortable, and the views at any time of day or night were just perfect. We really appreciated the cleanliness of the the bathrooms and kitchenette, too! My stay at Wildland Garden, was absolutely perfect! The tents were spacious, beautifully decorated, and offered the perfect balance of comfort and adventure. Waking up to stunning mountain views and crisp, fresh air made my stay unforgettable. Carrie Ann went above and beyond to make sure everything was spotless and well-stocked, from cozy bedding to little touches like lanterns and firewood. The location is peaceful and private but still close enough to explore nearby trails and scenic spots. I can’t recommend this place enough – the ideal getaway for anyone wanting a unique and luxurious outdoor experience!
