We enjoyed the peaceful and quietness of the pond site. the vast property is a great place to walk and explore. We foraged for wild Blackberry's for a tasty cobbler. The horses on the property are friendly and a very nice addition. Our miniature schnauzer and we enjoyed getting acquainted with the horses and they followed us around while we foraged and explored the property. We will be back!

I appreciated the peaceful stop conveniently off of the interstate. I was concerned about being a lone, female traveler but Anthony made me feel welcome, safe, and seemed to really care for the campsites and guests, checking on everyone and tending to the site. There was a small creek near the campsite where I could sit and journal on some fallen trees- it was nice having access to explore their property a little bit. The grounds were well kept and the tent camping vibes were cute with the bulb lights. I would recommend this for group trips, for sure, but it’s also good for solo or couple camping if you like to be friendly with neighbors. The toilet was clean and I liked that there was potable water. I would have appreciated a fire ring for each individual tent site, otherwise there is a group fire fit (unless I missed one). Other than that- I would 100% come back:))))

Every time I come through, the coyote campground is my hip camp of choice. The town is bustling only 6 miles away, the campsites are spacious, and there's even a dog park being fenced in for camping pups! The free roaming mini goats are the best 😀

Had a great time! The animals are adorable! The trails are fantastic full of berries to pick! Hosts were very accommodating and gave us a tour! We will definitely be back. The house dogs were the best part for us. They treat you like family!

We tent camped at Wayne’s Land and had an absolute blast. Beautiful views of the lake, great amenities in the kayaks and swimming dock. There are definitely alligators in the waters, but nothing really bothered us the whole time we were there. Only downside, I would say, is that the fire pit doesn’t have a grill, so you have to get creative with any cooking.

I thoroughly enjoyed camping in my RV in site 1. Being surrounded by woods and the countryside location, allowed me to recharge through nature. The hosts even fixed me up with kindling in the fire pit so I could enjoy a campfire at night. What a thoughtful touch!

Very hospitable hosts. Clean sites, well maintained. A couple of upgrades would be welcomed. Possibly a different latch on the outhouse. The lock would occasionally get stuck while inside. And also maybe a solar powered light. Solar panel on the roof and light on the ceiling that’s motion activated. Gaming shed was cool. Maybe add a basketball hoop. Next time will check out one of the vacation rentals. They looked really nice.

Kelly’s land was absolutely wonderful for a weekend of tent camping. The Sterling pond campsite was so spacious and serene. The fields of flowers were beautiful to walk around in and the forest hikes were so peaceful. We definitely felt like we were alone in the wilderness and it was so perfect. I would highly recommend!

Our homestead is a few acres in East Texas, near Hawkins. The land has been untouched for about 30 years, maybe last used for cattle grazing. We're keeping the property as natural as possible, we live here off-grid and off-pipe. There’s a 17 acre lake that we share with neighbors. It’s full of bass, bluegill, crappie and catfish, we encourage catch and keep fishing since the lake could use a little fishing pressure. We also have a beaver pond, and resident beaver. Some of the wildlife we see regularly: fireflies, turtles, cardinals, bluejays, hummingbirds, kite birds, frogs, opossums, armadillos, beaver, river otter, road runners and rabbits. These plants live here too: Beautyberry, Dewberry, Pokeberry, Sparkleberry, Dogfennel, Dogwood, Yaupon Holly, Holly, Wax Myrtle, Sassafras , Lyreleaf Sage, Carolina Crane’s bill, Coral Honeysuckle, Western White Honeysuckle, Smooth Cat’s Ear, Daisy Fleabane, Prairie Onion, Mullein, Summer Grape, Water Lily. The entire water lily plant is edible, did you know? Swim, hang out, cool down on the small swimming dock. Canoe and kayak included! Based on shared availability, we have 1 two person canoe, and 3 kayaks for use on our lake free of charge. There are smaller size adult life jackets and oars/paddles. Bring your own life jackets for kids. About the Bees Please do not bring or use any insect killer or insect repellent other than what you apply to your own body. We have several honey bee colonies living here and our neighbor keeps bees as well. For the safety and health of our bees, the use of man made insect killers or repellents on the ground, in the air or on the foliage is absolutely not allowed. One natural remedy is diatomaceous earth. Sprinkled on the ground, it does a good job at keeping ants and crawling creatures away. Brookshire's in Hawkins less than 4 miles away if you need supplies. Verizon, ATT users have cell coverage here, no signal for T-Mobile users. LGBTQ+ friendly.

You can enjoy wooded walking paths in the 90-acre forest and pastures, ponds and wildlife, including deer, wild hogs, hawks, owls, roadrunners, doves, cardinals, jays, woodpeckers, mockingbirds, and many other species of birds. Small mammals such as armadillos, rabbits, and squirrels are often seen, and the property is also awesome for stargazing. Please watch out for snakes, scorpions, pesky mosquitoes, chiggers and ticks. Quiet East Texas Piney Woods covered carport for RV or tent campers. Dedicated water and electric! Perfect for a stayover on a long I-20 road trip or just to visit one of the many nearby lakes. In Longview, just outside of city limits. Easy access from I-20, all paved roads, takes only a few minutes to get into town. Shady places to park, easy pull-through access at the site. Space is at the front of our private residential property in a quiet neighborhood with large lots. Your space will be on the front of the property, which is wooded and shaded. There is a circular paved driveway where it is easy to park an RV, and you can pull in or out in either direction. Carport is 20' wide x 26' long x 12' high and there is a longer area of level driveway without a carport if you prefer. Our home is up the asphalt driveway. Your view of the road, the main residence, and others will be partially, but not completely, obscured by the woods. Carport has 30 and 50 amp plugs, four 110V plugs, and a water faucet. There are no toileting or garbage facilities; you will need your own waste/sewage/garbage containment system and must empty it off-site. All pets must be leashed. No loud noise. No drugs or illegal activity. Simple gorgeous setting where you might just see a deer or two, but watch out for copperheads and other wildlife. We are not responsible for accidents or damage. No other campers, but neighbors are nearby, so quiet, respectful camping and staying within the space is important. This is a simple, easy place to be where you won’t be disturbed, enjoy the peace!
