Tired of the city ordinances that restricted raising fouls, I decided to look for an acreage that is not too far nor too close to the city and which allowed the raising of farm animals. As of this writing, we have 2 beautiful heifers, 18 sheep, and colorful giant kois in the pond that once in a while can be seen when they swim near the surface.
We built a log cabin in the 17-acre property in preparation for downsizing when the boys go to to college. But when our neighbors had to move back to England, they sold us their house and 11-acre land.
With the cabin on the 17-acre now vacant, we decided to open it for camping (on the land) or renting out the log cabin after building the 2-acre pond.
Learn more about this land:
Stay in the log cabin, or pitch a tent. Enjoy stargazing, or just enjoy the peace and quiet of the property. Pick wild grapes or wild blackberries (when in season) or spring wildflowers. Kayak or canoe in the pond. Bring your fishing gear and bait.
Cabin use is free, but these are STRICT RULES.
1. No pets please, not even emotional support animals of any kind due to allergy in the family (we use the cabin when not booked).
2. No smoking inside the cabin
3. Do not use the bathroom towels for kitchen purposes or to wipe off dirt
4. Please no outdoor footwear indoors, but you are welcome to wear clean indoor footwear. Violation will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit
5. Cars MUST be parked on the rocked section, thus walking is necessary from this point. This is a 2-3 minute walk. The driveway might be dry but, no vehicles will be allowed past the rocked section due to unpredictability of weather. If it rains, vehicles will get stuck in the pasture.
6. Never leave food - solid or liquid - where ants can find them or you will cause them to infest the house including your bed! They can do so faster than you can imagine.
7. Please do not bring more people than officially booked, or we will cancel the reservation. No refund. We also close the gate once you have checked in to prevent the animals from escaping.
8. The moisture content can cause shrinkage or expansion of the ground, which can lead to leveling issues to the cabin. So please be aware that doors may or may not open or close smoothly.

The property borders a small creek and has abundant trees, and wildlife. Beautiful views from every vantage with a high field on one half of the property and a low bottom land near the creek where there are many options for a relaxing, private stay. Chose big sky or a more secluded spot. Incredible wildflowers on display in the spring. The property is not bordered by close neighbors or dense housing, just more land so sunsets and rises are wonderful and open. Low ambient light pollution at night means the stars are very bright (and so are the fireflies)!
Guests are required to communicate estimated time of arrival well in advance. When arriving, make sure to meet Aaron or a designate at the red gate before entering further into the property. If tent camping, please do not bring glass containers, also you must pack out all garbage and waste. Inquire ahead of time to see if firewood is available to be gathered on site, or if you will need to bring your own. Quiet natural location away from the busy city. Located on a private access uneven dirt road so a 4x4 or all wheel drive vehicle is recommended. There is a firepit but please burn inside the cinder blocks areas and keep it under control (not too big). Do not burn when it is windy. There should be wood available near the firepit. If more is needed, please help yourself to the branches on the land. Please make sure to completely put the fire out when done.
There are 6 acres and you are welcome to camp anywhere you like, in the open areas or in the woody areas in the back.
We have a RV barn area that can be used for shade, sitting, eating, relaxing, etc. You can use the tables and chairs. There is also a white water container on the table that you can use for washing.
There is a 32 gallon trash bucket that you can put trash in but make sure lid is closed when you're done to keep animals out.
This site does have limited solar electric power in RV area. To turn on, flip the white switch on the surge strip on the wall behind the microwave. There is no running water so please plan accordingly.
There is currently not a toilet available but I'm planning on building a composting toilet soon. For now, use the natural way and make sure to bury.
For security, there is one camera on the property located near the front entrance and it is mainly for monitoring the front entrance area. There is also another camera near the north side of RV barn for security of storage room and RV.
This site can also be used for long term parking/storing your RV or vehicle but we are not liable for anything that happens. If interested, please contact me or use the app called "Neighbor". The RV barn currently already has a RV inside it so that parking space can't be used. Our long-term plan is to also make the RV available but we would need to install an in ground septic system and electricity first.

Located just 10 miles North of Downtown Montgomery on FM149 (23510 Martha Williams Road). We have 5.5 Acres that backs up to the Lone Star Hiking Trail in the Sam Houston National Forest. Our Campsites are set up along the LSHT between Trailhead 3 and 4, in the Pole Creek trail area. We have 7 campsites and 1 cabin that sleeps 4. The campsites all have fire pits. Tired of the city ordinances that restricted raising fouls, I decided to look for an acreage that is not too far nor too close to the city and which allowed the raising of farm animals. As of this writing, we have 2 beautiful heifers, 18 sheep, and colorful giant kois in the pond that once in a while can be seen when they swim near the surface.
We built a log cabin in the 17-acre property in preparation for downsizing when the boys go to to college. But when our neighbors had to move back to England, they sold us their house and 11-acre land.
With the cabin on the 17-acre now vacant, we decided to open it for camping (on the land) or renting out the log cabin after building the 2-acre pond.

Stay in the log cabin, or pitch a tent. Enjoy stargazing, or just enjoy the peace and quiet of the property. Pick wild grapes or wild blackberries (when in season) or spring wildflowers. Kayak or canoe in the pond. Bring your fishing gear and bait.
Cabin use is free, but these are STRICT RULES.
1. No pets please, not even emotional support animals of any kind due to allergy in the family (we use the cabin when not booked).
2. No smoking inside the cabin
3. Do not use the bathroom towels for kitchen purposes or to wipe off dirt
4. Please no outdoor footwear indoors, but you are welcome to wear clean indoor footwear. Violation will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit
5. Cars MUST be parked on the rocked section, thus walking is necessary from this point. This is a 2-3 minute walk. The driveway might be dry but, no vehicles will be allowed past the rocked section due to unpredictability of weather. If it rains, vehicles will get stuck in the pasture.
6. Never leave food - solid or liquid - where ants can find them or you will cause them to infest the house including your bed! They can do so faster than you can imagine.
7. Please do not bring more people than officially booked, or we will cancel the reservation. No refund. We also close the gate once you have checked in to prevent the animals from escaping.
8. The moisture content can cause shrinkage or expansion of the ground, which can lead to leveling issues to the cabin. So please be aware that doors may or may not open or close smoothly.

The property borders a small creek and has abundant trees, and wildlife. Beautiful views from every vantage with a high field on one half of the property and a low bottom land near the creek where there are many options for a relaxing, private stay. Chose big sky or a more secluded spot. Incredible wildflowers on display in the spring. The property is not bordered by close neighbors or dense housing, just more land so sunsets and rises are wonderful and open. Low ambient light pollution at night means the stars are very bright (and so are the fireflies)!
Guests are required to communicate estimated time of arrival well in advance. When arriving, make sure to meet Aaron or a designate at the red gate before entering further into the property. If tent camping, please do not bring glass containers, also you must pack out all garbage and waste. Inquire ahead of time to see if firewood is available to be gathered on site, or if you will need to bring your own. No uninvited guests without 24 hour prior approval, and additional guest fees paid. Also please no more than one dog per site.

You won’t be over crowded here as we currently only have 7 total camping sites. However, we do have enough property to accommodate large parties, reunions or any other type of get-togethers.

You might hear the sounds of the coyotes yipping in the night or perhaps one of the great horned owls calling out from a big oak tree.
You may also see some deer, rabbits, squirrels and even armadillos.

Quiet natural location away from the busy city. Located on a private access uneven dirt road so a 4x4 or all wheel drive vehicle is recommended. There is a firepit but please burn inside the cinder blocks areas and keep it under control (not too big). Do not burn when it is windy. There should be wood available near the firepit. If more is needed, please help yourself to the branches on the land. Please make sure to completely put the fire out when done.
There are 6 acres and you are welcome to camp anywhere you like, in the open areas or in the woody areas in the back.
We have a RV barn area that can be used for shade, sitting, eating, relaxing, etc. You can use the tables and chairs. There is also a white water container on the table that you can use for washing.
There is a 32 gallon trash bucket that you can put trash in but make sure lid is closed when you're done to keep animals out.
This site does have limited solar electric power in RV area. To turn on, flip the white switch on the surge strip on the wall behind the microwave. There is no running water so please plan accordingly.
There is currently not a toilet available but I'm planning on building a composting toilet soon. For now, use the natural way and make sure to bury.
For security, there is one camera on the property located near the front entrance and it is mainly for monitoring the front entrance area. There is also another camera near the north side of RV barn for security of storage room and RV.
This site can also be used for long term parking/storing your RV or vehicle but we are not liable for anything that happens. If interested, please contact me or use the app called "Neighbor". The RV barn currently already has a RV inside it so that parking space can't be used. Our long-term plan is to also make the RV available but we would need to install an in ground septic system and electricity first.

This is a great primitive camping spot. A lot of room to choose your own campsite, but there are some kind of designated spots that are cleared out. The host is responsive and no nonsense. We've been back several times and will do so again!

Terry was an amazing host. He let us check in a bit early when got there sooner than we thought. The restroom was super clean. The Pavillion with picnic tables gave us a spot to play cards. Terry brought us firewood which came in handy since it got down to 23 last night. Plenty of trees for hammocks at spot 6 and 7. He has 3 disc golf baskets and a couple of ponds where you can feed the fish (No fishing allowed).

This place was truly a getaway. Terry was an incredible host and has a slice of heaven at Circle C. I stayed at campsite 1.
The bathroom was impeccably clean and outdoor shower was ideal to feel like a human after just enough heat in January in Texas to break a sweat and still also want to build a fire at night. I ventured through some of the trails in the neighboring Sam Houston Natural Forest, which has two entrances right next to the campsites.
The peace and quiet was the palate cleanse from the city I needed. I went during the week and essentially had the whole place to myself. My favorite part of my trip was just sitting next to the fire, listening to the coyotes, crickets, and leaves fluttering as the night breeze rolled through.
It does get pretty dark out there at night. As a solo female camper I felt perfectly safe and had some lanterns as well as lights around the pavilion to guide me.
Terry was a gem and so kind and helpful. He was a pleasure to chat with and made the experience even more enjoyable.
I knew some rain was rolling through the last day or two of my trip, but I underestimated how much rain and overestimated my tent’s waterproofing so left a little early. Still well worth the short drive from the city.
If you’re like me, you’ll be happy to know that there is little to no WiFi out there. With serenity and peace in nature like that, I can tell you that I had no desire to look at a screen.

Weekend Trip to Outpost 203 - Camp & Glamp
This place is well maintained and very lovely. Evenly spaced out from other campers. Tons of sticks to collect for a good fire, sorry if we cleared all of them out 🤣. The pirate ship is a good touch. Would highly recommend spending a few days here. We camped peacefully full of laughter and joy at the "zen den" only recommendation would be to put a strand of lights on the string for the front of the tent, at night it was hard to see it and would hate for anything to happen to a person or even the owners property. Other than that its a very warming and lovely place. Btw listen for the donkey and geese I had a good conversation with them. Thank you for an excellent stay and we are looking forward to doing it again one day!!
