Primitive camping on Caddo Lake is an experience like no other. Spanning 25,400 acres, the naturally formed fresh water lake gracefully crosses from Louisiana into Texas and is home to the largest cypress forest in the world. The area on which this camp is located is rich in history--once the dwelling place of Caddo Indians who were known for their basket weaving and pottery skills. There was some confusion concerning check in, but we got it straightened out. Great location if visiting Crater of Diamond State Park. We had one of the tents, which was very roomy and stayed cool despite the high temperatures.

The Glamping tent was setup very nice and the ac kept the unit comfortable. Very remote location so take plenty of bug spray. Great place to unplug and sit by the river and fish. Bathrooms were clean and the shower was great. We will definitely come back some day.

I can’t recommend Hart’s Corner enough. Had a perfect spot on a peninsula. Beautiful views. Hart made sure we were well taken care of once we set up. Good fishing, especially if you can bring a small kayak and get out to the tree line.

3 nights at Diamond Glamping

Booked this to go camping with my daughter and the visit the Crater of Diamonds State Park. Site was clean, semi secluded and we were able to pick our own tent site. We were originally camped on the bank of the Little Missouri River that flows through the property and it was gorgeous. Then received a message from property owner that the River has been known to flood without warning (I was a little upset that this wasn't made known prior to us setting up the tent as the manager drove up to us while we were setting up and didnt say anything. I received a message after we finished and found the wifi password as there isnt much in the way of cell service without it.) It was a minor upset and was fixed the next morning and we just moved the tent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Other guest renting out the cabins were peaceful and respectful. Bath house was kept clean and showers worked! The "camp dog" made friends with mine but he kept peeing on our stuff! Overall, had a good time and plan on coming back.

Weekend Trip to Hart’s Corner Camping

Everything about this campsite, and our host were awesome! Easy booking, check-in, and access. Hart was communicative, friendly and very welcoming. We arrived around 2:30, drove straight into camp, clearly marked with signs, we took in the awesome view, then got set up for the night. Hart checked in with us soon after we arrived and made sure we were all set, and gave us his personal contact info if we needed anything. Extremely friendly guy. The next day when it came to checking out, we left a bit early but Hart made sure to text us to make sure that everything went okay. The site itself was beautiful with easy access, plenty of wood around for a fire, we fished for a bit in the lake, and then watched the stars before bed. It did get quite chilly but that’s to be expected in January! We will surely be back as this was a perfect camping trip!! Thanks, Hart!

We stayed on the peninsula and it was an amazing spot with direct access to the lake. Views were great, the spot had privacy and the host Hart was readily available for anything we might have needed.
