Pastures are mowed three times a year and always look beautiful. There is some terrain that is rough and the land has not been traveled. Bring machetes and a compass (We are not a rescue team). My family and I had a great time! Rick was a perfect host. We mentioned wanting to do some fishing, so he put us near the pond. We were able to catch some decent-sized largemouth bass and bluegill. At our camp, we were visited by many of the animals roaming around. Willie and Doc really enjoyed hanging around our camp.

Thank you Judy and Al, me and my boyfriend loved spending 2 nights on the sanctuary lot. The trees provided the perfect amount of shade for the hot weekend. It was my first time seeing llamas and they were way bigger than I thought they would be, but they were gentle giants! One even gave me a kiss on the cheek when I wasn’t paying attention. There were cute kitties and puppies on the land as well. One small cat with orange splotches was so sweet and guarded our tent all night. We wanted to steal her so bad. There were lots of other campers there too but we were all very spread out, no noise from them at all.

Weekend Trip to Llama Land Ranch

We dry camped in our RV and loved Llamaland. It was a great place to relax for the weekend. The pond site is huge and surrounded by fields. There are nice wooden picnic tables, chairs and a big firepit under a huge oak tree. Sunset views over the pond were beautiful. There is an outhouse nearby for tent campers. The llamas were friendly and cute. It was fun to hang out with them. Some were a bit aggressive about the food but you can just push them away or hide the food. Harry, Judy’s dog, came and hung out with us for a while too. It rained so we had the entire pasture to ourselves. Almost all of the sites are under trees with nice set ups. Judy and her husband were great. We would highly recommend staying here if you love animals.
