3 nights at EcoRich Ranch

Went for 3 nights and 2 day.! This place is amazing. The campsite is a great spot! To the north you have you campsite and easy access to creek. To the south you have wide open pasture and herd of Goats! My boys loved camping here. They enjoyed the hammocks we set up between perfectly placed trees. The fishing in the creek!. They caught several LG bass!. 20 minutes to Dinosaur Valley SP. There is a a water spicket available but we brought our own. They have a compost set up for restroom needs. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get away.

2 nights at EcoRich Ranch

Recently stayed for 2 nights here with my dog; I enjoyed it. Definitely seems to have a population of flies around, but very tolerable during my stay. Emory happened to swing by in the morning -- he was very nice. Got some great photos and videos of the land and animals.

3 nights at Alexander Creek RV and Campground

This campsite was great amongst the trees. Loved the roaming livestock farm a neighboring ranch, making even more fun. Wendy greeted us just as we had just pulled into the spot making sure all was okay. Close to Glen Rose and Hico, both places we visited for golf and friends. Nice to come back to a quiet spot.

Weekend Trip to High Hope Ranch

Was an absolute joy. If you're not in an RV, I highly recommend staying here instead of Dinosaur Valley State Park. It's way more remote and the views are stunning. A beautiful property with so many trails to explore. It was so nice how quiet it was.

Weekend Trip to Bee Mountain River Resort

Our stay at bee mountain resort was amazing!! The camping area are very spacious, gives you PLENTY of room if 3 or more tents are being put up. We were right off the bank shore making it easy to put kayaks into the water. Finally the bathroom are clean and kept up. Lots of trails to hike as well. Melanie and Tony are very helpful and keep EVERYONE update when bathroom are being traded out or just checking if campers need anything, definitely recommend and will be coming back to here

Had an amazing time. Crew taking care of restrooms and running the wood/ice requests were timely and accepted Zelle at the reception area at the front of the property. Kayak rentals were fun and they double as a paddle board.

We had a magnificent time at Bee Mountain. Tony and Melanie were fantastic hosts and we cannot wait to go back. They made check in a breeze, they were super friendly, answered every question we had, and were a joy to sit and chat with. The property is simply stunning! It’s truly a gem and I am so thankful that there are private property owners that share their little slices of heaven with those of us who would rather be out in nature than stuck in the concrete jungles. Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at John's cabin, and it was the perfect get away for us. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the peaceful sound of nature and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The cabin itself was clean, well-equipped, and well furnished, providing all the comforts of home while still maintaining that rustic charm. We hiked around the property, fished in the lake, and sat around the fire pit at night. John has beautiful land that feels far away from hustle and bustle of our day to day lives. We would highly recommend this stay for anyone looking to get away.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay here. The site and overall area were perfect. Our site had a good blend of shade and open space; the fire pit, picnic table, and outdoor toilet in great condition, and the ranch itself was big enough for my kids to go off and explore but not so big I had to worry about them getting lost. We had planty of quiet solitude but were still close to both Glen Rose and Stephenville. Emory is a great host and I would absolutely stay here again.

Each site is private. When the ground is dry there is access for all vehicles. When the ground is muddy, Brookside, RiverRock, and Richardson Creek campsites require a 4-wheel drive and have alternate routes to get to them. Ancient Oaks is an all-weather site. You can enjoy hiking and swimming in Richardson Creek when water levels permit. Canoeing from Bakers Crossing put-in which is only 3 miles away. Fuller's Folly River Ranch

Sundancer On The Brazos sits on Comanche Creek in an isolated forest on a 350 acre working cattle ranch with a quarter mile of river frontage! The Comanche were quite active up and down this part of the Brazos when the earliest settlers arrived around 1850, until the Comanches' eventual conquest by the Texas Rangers and their Colt pistols around 1870; we have found lots of flint and some arrowheads on high places here. Going further back in history, the Fuller's Folly River Ranch has an abundance of petrified wood, they say that if you have fossilized sea shells you were under water, but if you have petrified wood you had land creatures. Hunting for petrified wood is a fun adventure here. (But leave them for the next person to discover!) Weatherford is only 10 minutes away and Granbury is only 20 minutes away; both have great restaurants. And this close to Fort Worth (30min), you could actually commute and have a ranch to come home to at night--note the lower pricing mid week.

The Dusty Nickel

Arison's Farm Stay

While you enjoy your farm stay, watch the chickens and the goats forage on our eight-acre property just five minutes from Granbury’s historic square, and two miles from the closest boat ramp. Wildlife viewing is exceptional, with a wide range of animals typical of the rolling hills of Central Texas Hillcountry. The property has patches of open meadows speckled with hundreds of large, beautiful heritage trees including Live Oaks, Red Oaks, Cedar Elms, and Pecans. There are two small ponds on the property, with plenty of frogs and typical aquatic species providing a natural soundscape at night. Feel free to explore the site on foot or vehicles, but please keep vehicles only on existing dirt roads (no off-roading allowed). Feel free to use the RV hookup at the green metal building, and enjoy the stunning sunset views of the Texas Hillcountry from the elevated wooden deck connected to the building. The large propane grill (propane provided) on the wooden deck is also available for camper use. Campers can make a campfire in the designated fire pit only, and you must bring your own firewood. Campers may use the outdoor shower station, but you must bring your own water and mobile shower bag to hang from the hook at the top of the shower station.

SAFTEY NOTES: The terrain is rocky and can be quite steep in places with some drop offs. Not recommended for small children or pets that are not well trained. We also share the land with lots of wildlife! Please be aware at all times and keep an eye out for snakes & spiders! You may also hear wild boars in the creek bed at night. SITE AMENITES `This site includes a 10x14, Kodiak' canvas tent that will be completely set up with the essentials including Water & Electric, bed & linens & outdoor chairs. INSIDE ` Cozy up on a queen size mattress complete with all the necessary bedding (pillows, sheets &comforter). We like to keep it super cozy but simple inside to make sure there is plenty of space for guest's personal things. BATHROOMS ` There is no access to a bathroom but a screened shelter with a camping toilet & compost bags will be provided. Guests will need to be self-contained, take waste with them and leave no trace. OUTSIDE ` A water spigot & electrical outlet are included at the campsite. A fire pit & firewood will also be provided (with the exception of any burn bans in effect) ACTIVITIES - Neighborhood Boat Ramp & access to Lake Whitney/Brazos River. Stargazing, birdwatching, & hiking the trails are a few things many of our guests enjoy the most. We also have access to a public boat ramp in the neighborhood. Guests will also have access to over 9000 aces of public hunting lands managed by the Army Corp. of Engineers. Meridian State Park & Lake Whitney State Park are each about a 30min drive.
