Weekend Trip to Breathe Deeply

Perfect spot for a little Austin getaway. We brought our dog along and found 3 places nearby that had music, dog parks, and beer! Close to Lake Travis for a day getaway to the lake. We did Jessica Hollis Park. The airstream had everything you could think of. Even a little speaker to take with us to the lake! The bed was comfy and it fit myself and my 6ft partner. Landers was very accommodating. We will definitely be returning for another weekend there.

Super great place!! I was by myself and felt safe and enjoyed the tranquil scenery with tons of birds and wild life. The creek was perfect! Host were available if I needed anything. I will definitely be going back!!

Weekend Trip to Twisted Oaks...

No frills car camping, highly recommended! John’s land is beautiful and has many sites to choose from with flat places for tents, fire ring, tables and chairs. John is friendly and so are his dogs. He’s done a lot of DIY projects like an outdoor shower, bucket flush toilet, disc golf holes (bring your own discs) and has a few campers, a dump truck and other equipment on site that might not feel like pure nature but it didn’t bother me. If you want a true “pristine natural area” look elsewhere but for weekend car campers it’s a great place. Firewood available on site. 15 mins from downtown.

We had a great time camping on Billy’s land. The river was beautiful and the campsite was spacious and appointed with a fire pit and chairs. Firewood was provided for a low price. The goats and sheep were friendly and cute.

This place is awesome one of the best hip camps we have ever been to. The little peninsula right off the river was beautiful and lush accompanied by canoes that are available to rent and firewood available for purchase as well. This is a Tip top establishment that I will definitely be visiting again and again for times to come. From wild beavers two cows in the river this place has it all!

Beautiful weekend in nature with hiking, happy farm animals, camping shenanigans. There’s an outdoor sink, potable water, and a regular toilet. There’s a very nice communal area with picnic seating/kitchen that’s lit by night with cute string lighting. My favorite part was the walk in the woods down to the river where we met the 600-800 year old pecan Mother Tree. Then at the river we waded, the doggies swam and everyone took a nap in the sun. We all love animals dearly, and i surprised the group with the mini-horse grooming. Snickerdoodle was looking so cute after we brushed out her hair!

The property was so beautiful! After raining all week, we showed up to a perfect river site. Our dogs loved the water and sleeping next to the horses and sheep. We camped with a large group of (14 people total) and everyone had plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable.

I had such a wonderful time out on this ranch! Mikayla and her partner were so cool, personable, and welcoming. I did the farm tour, horseback riding, and camped under the Mother tree. I had my small dog with me and she did so well in the presene of the farm animals. :)

I love camping here, it is very peaceful, everything is clean and organized. Hollie and Davey are very nice and always checking on you. Favorite part their Director of guest services (their lovely dog Shasta) is beautiful and very friendly. I will keep coming here, totally worth it for a getaway camping.

Camping at Geronimo's land reminded me of camping as a Boy Scout in my early teens. It was awesome to share the nostalgia with my daughter as we roasted marshmallows over the campfire. We were able to enjoy all that the place had to offer, like the rope swing into the frigid Colorado river, fishing poles available at the riverside, the strategically placed hammock providing a peaceful, relaxing view of the water and even the little old play park. Our stay was uninterrupted, except for the welcomed firewood delivery on the first night. This facilitated the great Daddy-Daughter Camping tradition we have come to enjoy annually. PS. This is not glamping, this place is for REAL CAMPERS (you know yourselves).

Great private location with access to pump water. Very peaceful with a lot of animal sounds. River has a boat you can use, I wouldn’t swim in it lol. Billy was accommodating and nice. Trash can at entrance. No bathroom or shower. Prepare your own.

Weekend Trip to Morrison Farm and Stables

Stayed here for 1 night, it’s just what I needed while I was in town. Parked my truck on the flattest part I could find by the pond and set up camp and enjoyed the view of the night sky. Some horses were roaming at night but never approached, along with a pretty good amount of sheep in the morning. Expected, and it never smelled bad, so I didn’t mind. Cool spot, I’d come back again.

. These are unique camping spots along the Guadalupe River. I didn’t exactly understand how unique until I started getting feedback from my campers. The surrounding scenery will lower your blood pressure and do wonders to let you reconnect with nature. Sit back and close your eyes late in the evening and listen to all the wildlife talking to each other. There is faint traffic noise from 90A about a 1/3 of a mile away but it calms down after 7 or so. Currently no amenities but I am in the plans for some portable bathrooms. Please be prepared to cover all your bathroom and cooking needs. I do have some good clean well water from a faucet on the way into the campgrounds. Campfires are permitted. There is a convenience store (Diamond A) with clean bathrooms and a great bbq just 5 miles to the west on 90A and a Walmart and HEB 10 miles to the east on 90A. (Both Diamond A and Walmart sell fishing licenses if you need one. Dogs are allowed at sites 3 and 4 but not at 1 or 2 where my livestock guardian dogs have access to. No matter the size or temperament of your pets you are always expected to have them under your control at ALL times. Burrow who was a performing Country and Western musician here in Austin TX. campround/farmette' is about 2 acres (inside the city limits!), on a creek, kind of woodsy, and next to a pretty vast parkland greenbelt. Recent flooding made quite a mess but it's still pleasant here. Several friendly and permanent residents and farm animals. Creek-side private campground hideaway available. This is a CAMPGROUND: NO RV, ROOM, BED, INVOLVED - BRING A TENT AND GEAR FOR COMFORT (check my other listings for an RV stay). This a "want to camp" campground and not a living solution. If you "need to camp" due to financial or other reasons, Camp EZ will likely not be a good fit for you. 6 nights maximum stay. Not suitable for very young children. Please include your child in your count. Campfires in designated area only with permission (burn ban sometimes). Bring firewood. Community vibe 'round here; everyone is expected to be quiet and respectful of one another and clean up after themselves "leave no trace" style. Six night maximum stay. Bring a tent and gear needed to be comfortable. 2 private hot outdoor showers, rustic kitchen and 2 charming flush restrooms included. Wood fired sauna available. I have 3 cats, 11 chickens, 2 little donkeys and sweet 4 mini goats here at my little and funky 'farmette' right on Williamson Creek (sometimes flowing and not really swimmable) and next to a huge wooded greenbelt with a quiet and unused nature trail. This is not a KOA or a state park. This is a home hostel/campground. It's kind of rustic and we like it that way. You may see a roach, ant or cricket and you may also see a deer, fox or coyote. We are busy and not always able to visit for long. Lots of remodeling and flood related cleanup chaos here but also lots of pretty and secluded nature. Short walk to bus stop and historic Sagebrush HonkyTonk and Austin Bergstrom Airport is 9 easy highway miles away. Rustic outdoor shower/kitchen/privy. BYOTent. No wild or excessive partying here please and please remember: no smoking. WE NOW HAVE A COVERED PING-PONG PLAYING AREA AND BADMINTON TOO! Other details to note: Street parking. Camping is a very short walk from parking lot. We have carts to tote your gear if needed. Sorry, this campground is not set up to be able to park next to your site. We do not supply towels, toiletries, tents or bedding. Camp fire in designated fire pits only with approval. BYO Firewood. NO GENERATORS OR RECORDED MUSIC. Quiet time: 9PM-9AM. Texas Honey Bee Farm

2 acres in the hill country with free ranging ducks and chickens. There are bee colonies scattered on the property as well. Open grassy areas as well as tree covered areas. This is a quiet neighborhood and wildlife is abundant. You may hear coyotes and a great horned owl at night. There is a honey bee themed gift shop on site that is regularly open Thu-Sat 10-6 that offers tastings and tours. There is a restroom and small sink area connected to store that is open 24 hrs. There are 2 LONG RV spots up to 45 feet in length BUT, they are back in only and the turn around area is tight if you have a BIG RIG. The 2 camper van sites are (Site 1) 32' and (Site 2) 22'. Ask me if you want to know more! It helps me to approve you more quickly if I know how tall/long your RV is. Especially if you are longer than 24 feet. You can text me info. There is an outdoor shower area near the dark brown tiny house that is a cold water shower only! :) Ask me if you need towels and/or body wash, etc. (I don't mind helping out so you can travel lighter!)

Our 100 acre heritage property has been in the family for over 150 years. Since 2017, we've been operating our land as a Vegan, Regenerative-Agriculture Farm & Animal Sanctuary. We are located outside of Dime Box, TX and are a 30 minute drive from the quaint, artist village of Round Top, and 12 miles from Lake Somerville SP. Our property has equal parts rolling pastures and wooded thickets and ravines. There are plenty of nooks and crannies to explore and gorgeous views of the Texas horizons....time your stay just right and you can stand directly between the sunset and the moonrise! We also have a hike-and-bike, nature trail that offers a 360 loop around the property. We have a new construction Bath House on site for restroom needs w/ hot showers and composting potties plus a cold-water sink w/ non-potable water suited for washing produce, hands, dishes or camping gear.

The Ranch RV spot

We will be building a 5 acre fruit and vegetable farm with plenty of activities to do. Nestled right by a pond (Grateful Waters) with a picnic table, it's an amazing place to camp totally privately and immerse yourself in the unbelievable Texas country stars + sunsets. This rural spot is a phenomenal place to watch and hear tons of nature: birds, turtles, armadillos, snakes, bugs, coyotes, rabbits and even some cows next door. Campers are welcome to enjoy the whole front forest and meadow near the camping spot (~5 acres) and wander the mowed trails throughout the front of the property. The back of the property is currently an animal sanctuary and artist residency. We ask Vanlife guests to stay on the front half of the property (away from the houses) while enjoying and exploring on their stay. NOTE: We currently are only accepting fully self contained vehicles for reservations - you must have your own toilet, water source, and trash. We are new to hosting, so we are starting small + easy. We are vanlifers ourselves, so we are so happy to be able to share this super private land with other folks who want to get away from the crowded RV parks and get some privacy.
