Please remember, for the safety and comfort of our animals and guests, unsupervised interactions with our animals are not permitted. All animal interactions must be scheduled and supervised by our experienced staff. Also please remember that while our farm is a total of 30 acres, only about 1/3 of that is available for open use by campers, the rest house our beautiful horses and other animals.
Our farm is situated just a short drive from local attractions. We are 10 miles from the Historic Georgetown Square, 11.2 miles from the serene Blue Hole, and 38 miles from the hustle and bustle of downtown Austin. . These are unique camping spots along the Guadalupe River. I didn’t exactly understand how unique until I started getting feedback from my campers.
The surrounding scenery will lower your blood pressure and do wonders to let you reconnect with nature. Sit back and close your eyes late in the evening and listen to all the wildlife talking to each other. There is faint traffic noise from 90A about a 1/3 of a mile away but it calms down after 7 or so.
Currently no amenities but I am in the plans for some portable bathrooms. Please be prepared to cover all your bathroom and cooking needs. I do have some good clean well water from a faucet on the way into the campgrounds.
Campfires are permitted.
There is a convenience store (Diamond A) with clean bathrooms and a great bbq just 5 miles to the west on 90A and a Walmart and HEB 10 miles to the east on 90A. (Both Diamond A and Walmart sell fishing licenses if you need one.
Dogs are allowed at sites 3 and 4 but not at 1 or 2 where my livestock guardian dogs have access to. No matter the size or temperament of your pets you are always expected to have them under your control at ALL times. I have very small livestock in the area frequently

2. No wondering by the upper level cabins (these are private property). Showers are behind these cabins. Please respect staff spaces.
3. If you have an extra vehicle, please park it with your other vehicle.
4. If you have a 3rd extra vehicle, let us know and we will direct you where to park it.
5. Please be courteous of other campers space and road access.
6. All kids are free. If your kids are 17 and under do not add them or it will charge.
7. If you have an impairment please let us know before booking so that we can ensure a space is ready and suitable for you.

This is our family farm, though you probably will not see us much. The campsite is located on a corner of the property on Cummins Creek and once you get there you will feel secluded in nature. Matt grew up here swimming, fishing and exploring in this creek...the creek has taught him more about life than anyone ever could. The property borders a small creek and has abundant trees, and wildlife. Beautiful views from every vantage with a high field on one half of the property and a low bottom land near the creek where there are many options for a relaxing, private stay. Chose big sky or a more secluded spot. Incredible wildflowers on display in the spring. The property is not bordered by close neighbors or dense housing, just more land so sunsets and rises are wonderful and open. Low ambient light pollution at night means the stars are very bright (and so are the fireflies)!
Guests are required to communicate estimated time of arrival well in advance. When arriving, make sure to meet Aaron or a designate at the red gate before entering further into the property. If tent camping, please do not bring glass containers, also you must pack out all garbage and waste. ENJOY THE GREAT OUTDOORS! Camp Joy offers guests two docks available to use for fishing, lounging, getting in and out of kayaks on the property. The one shown was built as handicap accessible. This small lake is one of three lakes in the area called "Cade Lakes". Great for catching crappie, bass and catfish. Kids enjoy watching the turtles push each other off the logs seen around the banks. If you love to fish, the greatest fishing lake in Texas is a few miles away near Somerville, TX called "Lake Somerville". It's a scenic drive to the Overlook Marina and Lake Somerville Dam. Several State Parks surround Lake Somerville, the closest from this location is "Birch Creek State Park" with beautiful hiking trails. Highly recommend the drive to check the Parks out. Also recommend visiting "Washington on the Brazos", the birthplace of Texas and is where the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed. It is also a State Park. The "Aggieland Wild Animal Safari" is outside of Bryan College Station and is a great place to take the kids to interact with all kinds of animals. Offers a drive-thru in which you can drive thru as many times as you want, as well as a petting zoo and gift shop. And, if you like shopping, there are lots of antique shops and wineries at Round Top, another scenic drive about 45 minutes away. And all the ice cream lovers must visit the home of "Blue Bell" in Brenham, TX which is only open to the public during the weekdays, not weekends. While in Brenham, kids love to skate at the historic "Silver Wings Ballroom", known as one of the best skating rinks in Texas! Check for local events happening all around such as Aggie Football Games, Snook ChiliFest, Market Days on the Square in Caldwell and much, much more!

Come and stay at our four acre riverfront property right on the Guadalupe! Half of the property is at higher elevation, with a nice sunset vista and breezy camping spots. Parking is also located up here. A short walk down a gated ravine takes you to the lower-leveled riverfront part of the property. This area offers 1-2 camping spots on a wooden deck, and 2-3 camping spots on the rock/concrete pavilion overlooking the fire pit and benches. The riverfront amenities include a gas grill, a cooler, a fire pit (firewood included but always subject to a burn ban), and well water for a hose shower (not for drinking). There is well water on the upper part of the property as well. No fires are permitted up top.
Enjoy the views up top and the amenities down below. Set up your camp wherever works best for you!
Note: There is no electricity or bathrooms on the property. Please pack out what you pack in.
We rent the entire property to one person/reservation at a time. Up to 10 people on the property allowed or $25 per extra person.
Cast a line in the Guadalupe and enjoy the bass and catfish fishing — If you're interested in a fishing guide for a 2-3 hour morning run, the cost is $250.00. The guide will pick you up on the banks of the property around 7am, and you'll be off the water by 10am. Subject to his availability.
Feel free to BYO kayak or canoe. Life jackets highly encouraged!
The property is on ALT 90, 5 miles east of Diamond A Gas Station and Doss BBQ, in Belmont, Texas. It is 10 miles west of Gonzales (home of the "Come and Take It" cannon legend and birthplace of Texas independence). They have an HEB, local Mexican food, and plenty of fast food options.
Hopefully you will find it a peaceful as we do. Always feel free to call with questions while you're there. First time renting our property out, so constructive suggestions are welcomed!

Schulenburg is centrally located among a whole host of places - we like to think of it as both halfway to everywhere and in the middle of everywhere. We are an easy 1.5 hour drive to San Antonio, Houston, Austin, and New Braunfels, and even closer to Bastrop, Victoria, La Grange, and others. In addition, in our local area, we have a great variety of coffee shops, antique stores, and shopping.

. These are unique camping spots along the Guadalupe River. I didn’t exactly understand how unique until I started getting feedback from my campers.
The surrounding scenery will lower your blood pressure and do wonders to let you reconnect with nature. Sit back and close your eyes late in the evening and listen to all the wildlife talking to each other. There is faint traffic noise from 90A about a 1/3 of a mile away but it calms down after 7 or so.
Currently no amenities but I am in the plans for some portable bathrooms. Please be prepared to cover all your bathroom and cooking needs. I do have some good clean well water from a faucet on the way into the campgrounds.
Campfires are permitted.
There is a convenience store (Diamond A) with clean bathrooms and a great bbq just 5 miles to the west on 90A and a Walmart and HEB 10 miles to the east on 90A. (Both Diamond A and Walmart sell fishing licenses if you need one.
Dogs are allowed at sites 3 and 4 but not at 1 or 2 where my livestock guardian dogs have access to. No matter the size or temperament of your pets you are always expected to have them under your control at ALL times. I have very small livestock in the area frequently

Beautiful views from every vantage with a high field on one half of the property and a low bottom land near the creek where there are many options for a relaxing, private stay. ENJOY THE GREAT OUTDOORS! Camp Joy offers guests two docks available to use for fishing, lounging, getting in and out of kayaks on the property. The one shown was built as handicap accessible. This small lake is one of three lakes in the area called "Cade Lakes". Great for catching crappie, bass and catfish. Kids enjoy watching the turtles push each other off the logs seen around the banks. If you love to fish, the greatest fishing lake in Texas is a few miles away near Somerville, TX called "Lake Somerville". It's a scenic drive to the Overlook Marina and Lake Somerville Dam. Several State Parks surround Lake Somerville, the closest from this location is "Birch Creek State Park" with beautiful hiking trails. Highly recommend the drive to check the Parks out. Also recommend visiting "Washington on the Brazos", the birthplace of Texas and is where the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed. It is also a State Park. The "Aggieland Wild Animal Safari" is outside of Bryan College Station and is a great place to take the kids to interact with all kinds of animals. Offers a drive-thru in which you can drive thru as many times as you want, as well as a petting zoo and gift shop. And, if you like shopping, there are lots of antique shops and wineries at Round Top, another scenic drive about 45 minutes away. And all the ice cream lovers must visit the home of "Blue Bell" in Brenham, TX which is only open to the public during the weekdays, not weekends. While in Brenham, kids love to skate at the historic "Silver Wings Ballroom", known as one of the best skating rinks in Texas! Come and stay at our four acre riverfront property right on the Guadalupe! Half of the property is at higher elevation, with a nice sunset vista and breezy camping spots. Parking is also located up here. A short walk down a gated ravine takes you to the lower-leveled riverfront part of the property. This area offers 1-2 camping spots on a wooden deck, and 2-3 camping spots on the rock/concrete pavilion overlooking the fire pit and benches. The riverfront amenities include a gas grill, a cooler, a fire pit (firewood included but always subject to a burn ban), and well water for a hose shower (not for drinking). There is well water on the upper part of the property as well. No fires are permitted up top.

We rent the entire property to one person/reservation at a time. Up to 10 people on the property allowed or $25 per extra person.
Cast a line in the Guadalupe and enjoy the bass and catfish fishing — If you're interested in a fishing guide for a 2-3 hour morning run, the cost is $250.00. The guide will pick you up on the banks of the property around 7am, and you'll be off the water by 10am. Subject to his availability.

The property is on ALT 90, 5 miles east of Diamond A Gas Station and Doss BBQ, in Belmont, Texas. It is 10 miles west of Gonzales (home of the "Come and Take It" cannon legend and birthplace of Texas independence). They have an HEB, local Mexican food, and plenty of fast food options.

We have 10 spacious full hookup RV sites on the front of the property and and several more dedicated tent sites toward the back. We are located on almost 10 wooded acres, and most of our RV spots are shady for the majority of the day.
Schulenburg is centrally located among a whole host of places - we like to think of it as both halfway to everywhere and in the middle of everywhere. We are an easy 1.5 hour drive to San Antonio, Houston, Austin, and New Braunfels, and even closer to Bastrop, Victoria, La Grange, and others. In addition, in our local area, we have a great variety of coffee shops, antique stores, and shopping.

The property was phenomenal and Bridget was an amazing host. It was extremely clean, private, quiet, and great for our family. Iv been to a lot of campsites and this has to be one of our favorite tent camp locations. I would highly recommend this location to anyone.

Everything was as listed. We car camped and were able to pull right next to the water. The fire wood was free and in big supplies! We caught some monster bass in the little lake. The bathroom was clean and well kept which was huge for us. We were the only ones staying there this weekend so it was pretty quiet which was nice. Overall good experience

Hostess was very responsive Very polite and offered complimentary firewood. I walked to the river to get water and in the dark by the light of my head lamp I saw the biggest tree.

We had a great stay! Billy was a great host. He met us at the front of the property and drove us down to our spot. He even upgraded us as it was our first time using Hipcamp. The camp sites are very spaced out, so you feel like you have the whole area to yourself. Recommend bringing a camping toilet. We will definitely be going back!

Large space with normal toilet. We stayed on the ranch side, which was closer to Makayla's house. There is also a river side which is more secluded. We utilized the fire pit, the bathroom, and some of the table space made available to us. The property was easy to find, and Makayla was reachable through phone calls. We did small daytrip into town, which was very close to the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would recommend to others.

The camp site was excellent. Very secluded and right on the water. You're camping on grass and sand, so no mud (which is excellent since it rained overnight during our stay). Do know that you can hear some highway noise in the distance but cannot see any car lights. Overall a great stay and we'll be coming back!

We really enjoyed our 4 day 3 night stay at Wild and Boujee right on the Colorado River. This spot is pretty secluded and offers a nice quite place to relax, fish, explore and unwind.
The river sites, while 100% dry campsites offer ample shade and easy access to the water. We felt having a few more spots along the waters edge cleaned up a little would have allowed for more fishing opportunities where the water is a bit deeper.
We definitely have this marked as a go to place close by our house for future trips. We really want to check this spot out during the summer.
There is access to a water faucet close to the RV pads and Tent/Cabin which was nice for us to top off our small offgrid camper.

My friends and I had an absolute blast on the pasture mingle campsite. I will say though, if you’re looking for a lot of privacy, you’ll probably want to go with the mother tree location. Since this campsite is next to the barn where horse rides begin, there were people coming in and out a lot during our stay. Didn’t bother us, and we preferred being right up next to the horses, with two sheep roaming and playing around for us to watch. I’d recommend this spot to families with kids who like animals, and the mother tree location for people who want more of the private river spot. Overall we were very pleased.

I kinda really don’t even want to leave a review because I don’t want the secret getting out. But this camp site is just amazing if you know what you’re getting into! It’s rustic, bring your own table and water rustic. But for that “downside” you get so many upsides. The quiet, ooooh the quiet. The stars and the quiet make you forget you’re only 30 minutes from home. The hosts are amazing, friendly, and on top of everything on the facility. As an example, there was a shortage of tp in one of the bathrooms, no big deal, I keep tp in the truck for this reason. But next time I went in (next morning) it was stocked! It’s the little things in that really and truly make this place incredible.
