Off the beaten path, but just about 10 miles off I20. RV spot and tent sites available at Riverside. Kayak rental and tube/shuttle available for additional fee. You could even rent the whole campground! Beautiful camping along the Brazos river. Restrooms on site as well as outdoor shower. Power and water access but not at tent sites. Priority is given to musicians, volunteers, and their family/friends on Hippie Hoedown weekend. If this spot fills up, there is plenty of room to camp at Creekside and Riverside- walking distance. Please check in with someone when you arrive before you set up camp.

Located at the end of the road. There is over 20 acres. Some cleared and some still in original woods. Trees, grass and deer everywhere. There is over a quarter mile of Brazos riverfront property although you cannot get to the river on all of it due to it being in its natural state. There is a beach at the main camp that provides easy in and out of the water. the water depth varies with the rainfall but is usually between 2-4 feet deep.

We had a great time. The property is not far from Dallas and is definitely our favorite so far. It’s beautiful.
I had the chance to catch 13 bass, all a good size, including two surprises that were close to 8 pounds. We named the biggest one Rocky.
We will definitely be back. The property is beautiful, easy to access, and large enough to walk around and enjoy outdoor activities. 🎣🌿

Amy was very sweet. The animals were great. The river was very enjoyable. We went for a mid week break and enjoyed fishing in the river and basking in the sun. It is a little difficult to get into the river from the campsite but there’s a section near the pavilion that is much easier.

Wonderful land/spot. Wonderful host. They had quick and amazing communication. They met us at the gate and showed us to our spot. Super friendly people! The land was nice, secluded, and clean.
The listing here says not bathrooms which is technically true but there is a porta potty that they take good care of. So that was a nice surprise. Close to a whattaburger incase you arrive late and are super hungry. (Its the only thing open super late)
We got there at midnight and they were okay with that. I was super anxious about getting there so late but they were so kind and understanding.
Amazing experience. Id definitely come back if we are going through Texas again.

Leslie and Shane’s property was so great that we ended up extending our stay while visiting. When we got there we were met at the gate and given a tour of the property then were told to pick whichever spot we wanted. All of the spots felt very safe and super private and he even offered to bring a porter potty to our sight if needed. The walk to the bathrooms and showers was no longer than 2-3 minutes. He also has a saloon for charging anything that he allowed us to keep our plug in cooler in while we went shopping. Every sight has its own fireplace and there are trails all over the property that lead to unique things. The structures throughout the property are amazing to look at. This place truly is amazing and I would recommend anyone in the area looking for a campground, to stay here! There is also a few dogs that are super friendly and for us who are currently away from our pups at home this was a great experience to befriend and get some cuddles in!

We loved the hidden nature of our stay. Driving through the hills and down long winding roads was a perfect welcome into the area. Sam and Sarah were very attentive and passionate about their land and the sites. We enjoyed the little red barn and were able to purchase a few dozen fresh eggs from the chickens on the farm. We would happily stay here again!

I really enjoyed this spot along a creek feeding the Brazos River that's just a walk away from camp. I was able to take a shower (cold) and charge up my power station. It was quiet, secure, and I stayed for a couple of days. Definitely will return next time I'm in the area!

We very much enjoyed staying at Prarie ranch 2, the big open field view was beautiful and the hosts were very responsive. The location was great, about 4 minutes from down town Mansfield so you’ve got the quiet of the camp and the access to town all just right there. We absolutely plan to stay again

Our trip to Gypsy Moon was great! Me and my family of 5 camped at Fox Hollow and we enjoyed everything about our stay. We have 3 kids and the campsite was close to the river but not right on the water so we had some peace of mind. Amy was a very attentive host who would periodically check-in with us and made sure we were taken care of. My family enjoyed all of the different animals around the property, especially Sage the cat and the herds of goats that would randomly stroll through our campsite. The fresh duck eggs were a nice optional bonus to enjoy in the morning!
I’d say my only let down was the fact that the bait shop no longer existed as I’d have shopped for bait beforehand. Nonetheless Amy was open to helping us dig up some worms. She really was an amazing host.
My kids have already mentioned several times how they look forward to visiting Gypsy Moon again! See y'all soon!

A really wonderful place. We met Jamie and her father-in-law, and were able to help feed the horses. The trails down to the lake are very well kept; even with a large 2-person fishing kayak we were able to get down to the water easily with a kayak cart. This is not on the busy end of the lake. We kayaked and fished for 3 hours and saw only one other boat (although it was a very windy day) so peace and quiet was constant. You can't find places like this on a lake without having other campsites right next to you, and Jamie is an absolutely outstanding host who was eager to help with anything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We will certainly keep this site bookmarked.
