Pets are welcome as long as they don’t damage home, chase cows, kill chickens or are dangerous to others. There is an extra fee for pets. Priority is given to musicians, volunteers, and their family/friends on Hippie Hoedown weekend. If this spot fills up, there is plenty of room to camp at Creekside and Riverside- walking distance. Come stay on our 100 acre Richard Creek Valley getaway, gently tucked away on the north slope. There are four campsites on the property and they are all at least 150 yards away from each other. Each site is private. When the ground is dry there is access for all vehicles. When the ground is muddy, Brookside, RiverRock, and Richardson Creek campsites require a 4-wheel drive and have alternate routes to get to them. Ancient Oaks is an all-weather site. You can enjoy hiking and swimming in Richardson Creek when water levels permit. Canoeing from Bakers Crossing put-in which is only 3 miles away.

Granbury Wine Walk and Winter Wine Walk in the Historic Granbury Square. Walking through the park and the square is just magical at Christmastime. Easy Like a Sunday Morning is nestled just outside the city limits of Granbury, Texas (approximately 3 miles from Granbury Historic square) @ a private residence just outside the city limits. New laundry facility down the road, dump station @ Thorp Springs RV park (20 dollars), Davids Grocery store and Dollar General, all only .03 miles away. This is not really a vacation destination but more a safe place to stay coming to town to explore all Granbury has to offer or a place to catch your breathe while traveling on the road.
Friends have enjoyed escaping here for years. I decided to share the zen. It's a bit rough around the edges but if the new venture succeeds it will only get better each time you visit. Patio with a view of Lake Granbury and surrounding valley of at least 3 counties.

This property is primitive with 132 acres of prairie land, trees, a pond, a river, creeks, and wildlife.
We can accommodate RVs, camper vans, tents, or people who want to park and hike to a primitive camp spot.
Campsites are to the left of the entrance near the road; however, there is very little traffic as there are few neighbors. We offer fire pits at each campsite with some included firewood.
There is minimal light pollution, and stargazing is a must! Keep an eye out for petrified wood and arrowheads. If you're quiet enough, you might see some deer or other incredible wildlife.

This was an awesome campsite for 1-3 days camping.
We accidentally stayed at River Rock instead of Brookside. But we absolutely loved it. Family of 5 and a dog - nearest camp was 150 yards away and empty. The creek was great - you could swim and fish. Lots of wildlife - deer, beaver, armadillo, birds... This is a perfect site for a 1-3 day getaway.

Very unique spot. We had a wonderful time exploring and learning the local history provided by Johnnie. We had the place to ourselves and view of the stars was spectacular. It is primitive, but the directions and information provided was very detailed and helpful. The glimpse into the past and staying right in the middle of it was fun. The wooden block table was helpful for using a camp stove and identifying the tent sites.

Caretaker of property is available for anything but keeps to himself. His awesome dog Thor feels like a safe watchdog.
There is community property near so you may encounter that.
The history, structures and ability to explore them are really something to experience.
The property is covered with old oak trees that are unique on a whole other level.
