Weekend Trip to A Pirates' Paradise

This is a nice spot within walking distance of restaurants, bars and the Fulton pier. Property was clean and well kept. This is a good pet friendly spot too, the Moondog restaurant is a couple of blocks away and allowed us to walk through and sit on their back deck with our dog, As well as a bar around the corner called lulu's. We had a little issue with the lockbox for the power when we arrived later in the evening, but Patrick was very quick to respond and pleasant to work with, he came out and had us fixed up quickly. We would/will definitely use this property again!

Cool camping spot that you wouldn’t expect in a place like Goliad. We stayed in the Skulltree camp and the shade the two oak trees produce is perfect on warmer days. It stays ten to fifteen degrees cooler in the shade. Plenty of space to set up camp, there were quite a few fire ant mounds within the campsite so be careful for that. Hosts were fantastic, great communication prior to showing up, and they leave you be, wish we really loved and appreciate! Would highly recommend!!

Secluded and gorgeous camping area, less than 50 feet from a lovely stretch of river. Several flat areas for tents, in addition to a well made in-ground fire pit. The perfect private primitive camping site. Host was prompt and cordial.

Quiet, close to restaurants and a nice little coffee shop. Walked downtown every morning with my dog and it was great to walk by the water. No shell picking or bike riding but was fabulous visit. Lots of room with private drive. I really can't say enough!

1 night at River Creek Campgrounds

We had an incredible stay at this campsite! The site was spacious, completely secluded, and offered a stunning view of the Guadalupe River. The easy river access and shallow rock bed areas made for the perfect water play spot for our toddler. The campsite itself was well-equipped with a great fire pit, plenty of firewood, a cooking pit, and a trash can. There were multiple options for pitching a tent, allowing us to set up comfortably. One of the highlights was the friendly horses and ponies that wandered by our campsite—it was such a special experience! Our host, James, was fantastic—kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great stay. He guided us to the site, ensured we had everything we needed, and even checked in the next morning. If you're looking for a peaceful, primitive camping experience with beautiful water access and plenty of space to relax, this is the perfect spot. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it!

Nice quiet park. Reserving a particular site is loosly organized. We reserved site 1 but therr was someone in it. Another camper told us to park anywhere. Seems that happens a lot. Good gravel pads with concrete patios with broken down picnic tables.

We were here in May 2024 and loved it so much we came back in November. When the wind is low fishing from kayak is great in both May and November. We enjoyed the pier fishing too. Sunsets are Amazing!!!

The driveway and RV pad are grass over a hard-packed, crushed limestone base. Pets are welcome! We are close to Magnolia Beach, Port Lavaca business district, and Indianola. When you feel the gulf breezes, you know you've made it to Goose Island. Nestled near St. Charles and Aransas Bays, this Texas state park is all about the water. We're talking boating, kayaking, fishing, and birdwatching along the coast. The only thing you can't do is swim. (Sorry.) That said, there's plenty of luck to be had on the 1,620-foot fishing pier. A boat launch and kayak/canoe launch are also available. Remember to bring your own boat! No stay is complete without visiting the main attraction—a 1,000-year-old oak lovingly dubbed The Big Tree. (Don't worry, it's still standing strong in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.) We primarily cater to month to month guests working in the area so there's not a ton of activities around, but my wife and I are full-time RV'ers so we are hosts as a way to give back to our awesome community. We are located super close to Magnolia Beach though where there is free beach camping for 14 nights! Pets are allowed. Please make sure you pick up after them.
